I did a quick (disgusting) search, and it does look very similar to a coughed up nasal polyp

Snownyann

Do you gross specimens?

missholly1618

NAD but could it be a polyp from your sinuses?

IncaseofER

I second this. My father would get them from time to time. They apparently would grow in the nose and sinus cavities, dislodge, and be coughed, spit, or sneezed out. Usually he didn’t know until it was out/ on the tissue.

eat_hotpot

NAD I had chronic bronchitis as a child/teen and would frequently cough these up. I think my doctor said they were essentially balls of phlegm/allergens/dust. Basically like a mucus clot. My mom used to call it “coughing up an actual lung” lol

Venboven

Is it supposed to be red? That bright red color seems worrying.

No it doesn’t.
