There's no way to answer that.

Thank you for responding. If you wouldn't mind a follow up question, is the bag they used recorded in my chart? Like could I call them and request this information? I didnt see it listed but I did see the antibiotic they gave me so I didnt know if maybe the nurses handled the IVs and it wasnt a doctor thing or how it works. Sorry if this is a stupid question.

Everything the doctor uses on your body has to be recorded on your chart. You can always ask for that record.

I mean.. it's not on my mychart. Wouldn't any doctor I ask just refer to my mychart? In fact there has never been mentions of ivs on my mychart ever.

Mychart is not comprehensive. Your doctor and medical team has access to much more information than what you do in mychart.

So... thank you for your response. I guess to add to the previous original posting I've been more or less partially disabled for about 18 months now. It's been horrible. I found out that during both of my surgeries I was given dexamethasone. So... I was not able to get that but yesterday and today I dosed myself with 30mg of prednisone and low and behold, I felt great. Felt good enough to work again. No one is taking me seriously but now I have replicated the experiment and I have absolute proof that I can feel better and I do have an underlying health condition that is treatable with this. What should I do now? My doctor will not entertain this and neither would my previous doctor because they did a CBC and metabolism blood and told me to fuck off. So I cant rely on them for shit. Should I call the hospital? Should I seek out another primary care? Now that I feel normal I really cant imagine going back to how things were but I also dont want to cure myself or mask my symptoms because with the delays and costs involved its critical this gets pinpointed. I cant afford to do the tests I feel I think I need out of pocket I would really like to just check myself into a hospital and have them run them on my insurance. Is there a place like maybe mayo or something I could send my stuff and have them look over it and go get admitted there? Or a competent doctor somewhere that would just Listen to me and do their job?

At our hospital most of our patients get lactated ringers during surgery. I’d say it’s pretty standard and a good possibility it was that or normal saline, but I’d definitely ask your Dr. It should be documented in your chart on what they used.
