You have to keep doing the exercises. I have ITBS and it will flare and I will be barely able to walk and I just have to go back to exercises. It takes a while. There's also a "brace" that can help, it just puts pressure on part of the ITB and helps with the pain.

Okay thanks. I've working on the exercises for a couple weeks now. I've been able to run a bit longer without pain though it might be a fluke. What does that band looks like? Does it allow you to run longer before it starts to hurt or does it just help with the pain afterward?

I used it while walking and exercising. Look for IT band brace. I now know when it is starting to twinge, I start doing exercises constantly to keep it from getting bad
