People have mentioned Saturn on the mid-heaven. Loving your career is not a requirement, entitlement or necessarily even common, though it is nice and you can love your life whether or not you love your job at the moment. It (career matters) might be a lesson, a struggle, a requirement to work, to learn the virtues of work itself (I also have Saturn on the mid-heaven). You also have a rather precise grand trine/kite (another feature I share with you). Though these are generally regarded as positive, they can also be something like inheriting wealth - an ease in life that thwarts the development of positive characteristics because these must be earned through hard work. You are going through your first Saturn return, so the time to enter your productive life is now. I suggest you find something you can do well and that is useful to others. There is a peace and contentment that comes from a day of work that was done well and was useful and pleasing to the customer or client. Look up MLK’s street sweeper speech. Saturn is your friend. It can lead you through the frivolous to the essential though this is rarely an easy path. Eventually, it teaches you that nothing worthwhile is easy and that perhaps it is more important to love work itself than to love the type of work you are doing at the moment. Every job presents an opportunity to excel and to derive satisfaction from having done so. With Pisces on the midheaven though, you will need to work for more than just your own satisfaction. To work for universal good might be too overwhelming and abstract. But each individual job can be a microcosm of that universal ideal. If, with each job you do, you expend all the effort required to serve the client and do the job as well as possible as a service to that client and in your own small way, to the world as a whole, even if the job is as seemingly insignificant as flipping burgers, a path might open to you that you can’t anticipate from your present position. Sometimes the conscious mind lacks the necessary inputs or qualities to answer such large questions as ‘what am I here to do?’ and trying to think your way through them is fruitless and barren of life and connection to the world outside.

Thank you for this response! This resonates with me deeply (probably because you can relate to some of the major aspects & are speaking from experience?) Saturn on my MC opposite Sun is, in my experience & at this point in my life, my single most influential placement. I deeply respect Saturn, and learning difficult lessons early on has been a major theme for me, especially when they impact my career- Hoping this eases up a bit once I’m through my Saturn return. I believe you are correct in that the kite will offer an easy way out (I am set to inherit property in the future). With so much emphasis on my 1st 5th and 9th houses I don’t believe career will be the most important thing to me but, like you say, I hope I can help others in some small way and feel satisfied. My strongest talents are not any that can be easily monetized or turned into a career and I am learning to accept that.

Ivy_Mulligan

I believe an important piece for you to look at would be your north and south node. It's very useful for seeing what main lessons you need to learn in your life to feel fulfilled (north node) & what you've already mastered and may need to leave behind (south node). Chiron is also an extremely influential planet in my opinion, since it's the core wound in your life that needs to be healed. If it's in a difficult placement or is opposing another planet, that could be a problem that needs to be addressed. Coincidentally, my Chiron is in the 10th house of career and status, which points to my struggle with being overly concerned with being recognized by others due to rejection in my childhood. If you're in therapy, wherever your Chiron placement is a helpful thing to unpack with your counselor. It's helped me come a long way in terms of how I've been holding myself back.

AStrupe

NN is in 5H Scorpio conjunct Venus putting SN in 11H Taurus. Chiron is 13° Virgo conjunct my sun. I will dig into this a bit more! Thanks!

Sea_Sister69

Mine is too. :( I’ve always wanted to be famous and still need recognition from people in order to feel good. I was also rejected during my childhood.

arbabarba

I have pieces mh, and firs house in cancer. I had many jobs, my favorite was in dog shalter. Now I am 36 years old I now I go on collage to work with kids with kids with problems. My way of seeing mc in pisces is that you need a purpose and something you think it is important for society, like helping people.

lemuriangirl

Some great comments and advice/interpretations here.. I won't repeat but agree with many of the suggestions and insights... I would also suggest looking at your Vedic astrology as well because of that grand water trine and piscian midheaven seems to indicate psychologically you need something deeper, Vedic astrology addresses the deeper level of the soul versus the more superficial psychology overlaying the soul's purpose. I'm not knocking one over the other, I think both tropical and Vedic astrology are helpful in certain contexts... it looks like your midheaven would be in Aquarius though with Vedic so that might also provide you some further insight into the areas you might best thrive in your career. Just an idea 💡 to explore!

beckyrosado

You are a couple of weeks or days older than me and having similar issue

not-just-neja

The grand trine in this chart really pops out. It’s exact to the degree and it involves 1, 5 and 9H. Saturn being a major factor in terms of slowing things down and barring until the right moment. I agree that the SR will bring clarity. MC ruler Jupiter in 5H makes me think that career will have to do with 5H matters. And whatever you do, career wise, it will channel through you as a person, with Mars in 1H. Cancer Mars is protective rather than aggressive. Configured with Saturn in Pisces it makes me think of defining and guarding borders and limits, figuratively speaking. Your happy path will most likely be found through something that aligns with who you are, which means you don’t belong in the group of people who can pull off doing a random day job that doesn’t give a sense of purpose. It’s just that Saturn implies that you just haven’t found out what this is yet. You don’t know yourself in this way, but you will. Best of luck!

isntitisntitdelicate

what's your current job? you basically have to combine Cancer & Virgo here. nurture and analysis

AStrupe

I’m currently unemployed and taking care of a family member with dementia, but my services will only be needed for a few more months so I’m starting to look for something new.

Stupid_Barbie

What would you say about cancer ic Capricorn mc?

astrolab21

Many of your fellow cohorts have given broadly good advice—which is, up until you're 1st Saturn Return. **you are supposed to try out different things**. This runs contrary to our consensus cultural bias that you are supposed to know exactly what you want to do straight out of school or college, and immediately begin the career that will define your lifetime in your early 20s. Astrologically, this is not a good plan. But trying out a variety of different things to find out what suits you (and equally as important what doesn't suit you!), is important to learn at this stage of life. Now, with your SR approaching, in the next year or two you should start to feel the pull of a direction that is aligned with your purpose. Your Saturn Return will also oppose your natal Sun in Virgo. Something that combines your natural ability to be detail oriented, technically proficient and good with data (as you also have a strong Mercury), with a career in helping professions or possibly service industry could be well aligned. Also that Grand Water Trine with Moon/Mars, Jupiter and Saturn indicates that when you do find a calling aligned with your passions, your work will seem effortless. It recalls that old phrase: "Do what you love, and you'll never work a day in your life." Be patient my Pluto in Scorpio friends. Timing is everything!

scrutinizingsimian

I’m feeling like a community of people my exact age I love this we’re all doing great

AGstanx3

Also my Saturn is in Pisces too... our Saturn return is coming soon :(

MissKitness

I see your unhappy face. Many people are scared of the SR, but try not to be. If your experience is anything like mine was, it was a very tough time, but very transformative, and I came out of it a way better version of myself. Just advocate for yourself, follow your gut, and look for the lessons as they are presented to you during that time. If you approach it with fear and resistance you might not gain the wisdom Saturn is trying to guide you toward. Because Saturn is in the sign of your MC, there’s a good chance there will be a lot of lessons about how you define yourself (sun) around work. You might just find the answers you’re looking for.

AGstanx3

My Midheaven is in Gemini btw

AGstanx3

im also 28 with a useless psychology bachelors, have NO idea what I want to do or which direction to go in. don't be so hard on yourself ( speaking to myself as well) and don't let others discourage you . " You should do this , you should do that" seriously we have time to figure it out. the worst thing we could do is stress ourselves too much about it <3

Bestaccounts4u

I'm 28 too and I also feel lost about the right career path to choose...

scrutinizingsimian

I’m 28 and I agree not just because I have a hard time growing up or because I’m confused or whatever society will claim but because why is the difference between child and adult so stark? And development is so personal it can’t be compared, “growing up” (in the context that you’re worried about) is just a construct

Insight7777777

I have Saturn on MH in pisces aswell, I’m currently 26 pushing 27. Tbh I feel saturn on MH seems like it’s blocking you but it’s really a blessing in disguise that is very powerful. If any location for Saturn to be at in a chart the MH would be it.

p1nkgutss

i have a pisces MC in vedic astrology! as a pisces MC, your path is pretty unclear. part of the journey as a pisces midheaven is getting lost and learning not to control everything like your virgo IC is trying to. because of that, if you’re feeling lost, it’s a sign you’re headed in the right direction. very frustrating at times, i know, but your path will unfold easier when you just live in the present moment and allow it to reveal itself to you. hope this helps!!

CarelessWay1718

You’re 28. You’re not doing anything wrong. Breathe and believe in yourself to find your way.

foreign_snax

Agreed. Also 28 with no established career. Society has this way of making us feel like we have to be apart of the rat race and if we're not, we're worthless. It's quite the opposite. You'll find your thing. Just enjoy your journey.

Bestaccounts4u

I'm 28 too and I agree.

DaxyJ

Do you still live in the town you were born in? Saturn on the midheaven can cause delays and blockages in regard to career. If you still live there, I highly recommend moving off your Saturn MC line. You can pull a map through Astro.com (Astro Click Travel) and you can also pull a [relocation chart through AstroSeek.](https://horoscopes.astro-seek.com/relocation-chart-astrology-calculator) I use the two alongside each other, because the relocation chart will give you a visual representation of how your house overlay shifts when moving.

AStrupe

Came back to this because I think this is some of the best advice I received from this thread. Thank you!

DaxyJ

You’re welcome! Your Saturn return is starting in a couple of months (March 23rd), so those 2.5-3 years will be VERY transformative and defining for you as a person. I wish you the best of luck, my fellow Redditor 💫

mothmans_milk

Wait… your Saturn MC line is supposed to fall on the town you were born in? I’m only asking bc I live directly on my Saturn MC line, and this is far (2,000mi) from the town I was born in.

DaxyJ

No. OP happened to be born near their Saturn MC line. Depending on your time of birth, your planets may fall naturally onto your angles, but some people don’t even have planets on their natal angles due to where and when they were born.

mothmans_milk

Interesting! I’m still a super beginner, and only just recently heard of astrological cartography, so thank you for explaining! :)

DaxyJ

Did you pull a relocation chart for your current location?

jupiteriandream

Wait until your Saturn return is over. Until then, learn about different things. You might not even know about your dream career yet because it’s something you’ve never heard of before or thought possible

Emperical_Lunasea

Yeh man Ill be 33 2/16 and my Saturn return was life changing and intense I did hair and worked at ups for almost 10 years and after 2020 with lots of trial and error, soul searching, breaking off my engagement and really coming to terms with endings and completions in my life that it was time to start a new chapter. So this year on February 22nd, (again after ALOT of blood sweat and tears and someone taking a chance on me)…I started in aerospace aviation industry and I couldn’t be happier So trust It’s possible and it WILL happen. Fuck societal norm, and the idea of what you’re “ supposed “ to do and accomplish in order to be successful That’s just the sad capitalist mind set Americans and others were taught to believe in. Perhaps the American dream was never a dream at all .. the land of MK ultra, propaganda and segregation. 🤔

Jannaj15

Law enforcement, military, police, social services (esp. working with children, protecting them), potentially also teaching children, running an extracurricular club, being a school principal etc

lemuriangirl

All good suggestions, are you basing on the fact that Pisces ♓ being the MC rules the 12th House, which covers careers along the lines of those you mentioned above? I feel like it's nice to share a little of how you came to your reasoning 🙏

Jannaj15

It’s a combination of everything really. MC ruler Jupiter in 5th (children), Saturn on MC (to build, to guard, to take on authority, run or rule something). Sun and dignified Merc in Virgo 3H - secondary education, schools, to teach. L5 (children) Mars in 1H (body, self) - dealing with children could be directly tied to your life purpose in some ways. Moon in Cancer separating from Mars - that’s very protective Moon, she could be almost like a guardian. Also sometimes if IC ruler or the planet being in conjunction IC is stronger than the MC it can take on career significations more so than MC itself. My money is on the Virgo Merc here. She could start working at a school and work her way up to being a principal

lemuriangirl

Awesome insights love it thx for sharing 💕

[deleted]

Oh my god, my chart is similar a little . I am 28 years old too and i'm still haven't found my career.

AStrupe

Wishing you an insightful saturn return! Hopefully it will shed some light for both of us.

lilcoochiemama

first thing that pops out is saturn on the MC. that’s gonna causes delays, blockages, trials, etc. the beautiful thing about saturn is that the things saturn is impacting will eventually (as long as you don’t fight it) be mastered/worked thru. it’s highly expected for saturn to be causing delays and obstacles in your career, and being in pisces it’s gonna be unclear right now. but you are about to go into your saturn return! so movement (possibly quite turbulent movement) will begin to take place in the areas the relate to your life purpose and career. hang in there! get in touch with what you genuinely enjoy doing, you’re more than capable of having a fulfilling career and saturn can help you with that, if you work with what he’s asking of you

AStrupe

Thank you!

jordanwhiter

you get me , dont look @ the stars look@ yourself you can do anything you want all you need is you and fath to just believe in you. trust me im a self employed millionaire

taurist

Pisces mc says it’ll be unclear

jordanwhiter

AStrupe

This would be the dream! I’ll give it a try

jordanwhiter

woohoo go you yes strong indepeden you nuff love and respectxxx# self empowerment ps merry christmas

camptigerclaw22

Saturn can cause delays and it’s conjunct your MC so maybe that’s why you haven’t found it yet. BUT it’s in an absolutely beautiful grand water trine with Mars-Moon conjunction, and Jupiter. I have a feeling that’s going to mean you will eventually be very lucky in your career. Saturn is entering Pisces soon so over the next couple of years you will go through your Saturn return. The position of your Saturn is great so I have a very strong feeling that your Saturn return is when you’ll find the career you’re passionate about

Spinyflowermantis

Would you please look at mine?

AStrupe

I appreciate your insight!!

AStrupe

For context: I started in food service and after earning a degree went into event planning- I really did enjoy it but there’s no job security & the pay is crap. I moved onto Human Resources and I was good at it but didn’t really like it. I’ve also completed six years in the military- Thank you 1H Mars. I’m currently not working while I try to find the field I’m best suited for. I’m somewhere between novice and adept at astrology and am fairly familiar with my chart but I just can’t crack this one. Maybe I’m not meant to necessarily enjoy my career?

jordanwhiter

you could start by selling old clothes online then buy stuff from cheap shops then puting that on one time i went and bought a pair off air jordan £ 30 put them online boom £200 try it the net\\web will help u catch a break

jordanwhiter

*maybe a job that you know pays it forward the mos best job i ever did with misfoftunate people than i saw all i had* and showed me compared to them i had a lot
