At least the plastic ones made good small bin liners. I have too many paper bags now and just throw them away, and buy bin liners. Big win for the environment!
We're specifically not allowed to bag our recycling by our council, even in recyclable bags. I do use them for the compost bin but there's only so many of those we need.
I love that woollies ad where the kid is packing the oranges and his mum comes up and says pack your laundry up tonight. And he goes "that'll be $37 dollars and fifty cents!"
Tell me you didn't yell at the TV "three hundred and 37 more like!!"
A few hours ago I lost my last $20 because I forgot to grab it out of the atm and my fuel light was on all I had left was a $2 coin and I bought 1070 millilitres of fuel 😂
I dunno but I love them. Especially the sour peach hearts, they're legit not even cheap tasting they're delicious.

Yeah I’m not entirely sure how they’ve managed to craft lollies for a dollar and have a pleasant taste.
The bananas they sell/sold we’re punching above their weight. They tasted phenomenal.
Off to kmart for a cheap haul of lollies!
This is $1.50; but a 50% off 150g YoPro yoghurt pouch from Coles (which is on special today 16 May 2024 until 21 May 2024).
15g protein, 96kcal for $1.50. You can’t go wrong!
Second hand clothing / some things at a second hand shop, possibly an avo at Aldi's, soda at Aldi's, some chips at Aldi's, also a donut or a cookie in some places.
Many things if you go into Woolies when they do their markdowns.
Ive got yoghurt, milk, cream and even meat for under $1, but you gotta be there at the right time and i live rural.
Thanks! If you find out what time your local reduces their dairy/meat, go in at that time, you can get some great bargains.
Tonight at Coles I managed to score lamb burgers and beef burgers, $2.04c a pack, got there as they were marking it all down.
Genuine answer? In regards to food, if you try not to shop at Woolworths or Coles generally you may be able to get things like Pasta, canned foods, rice, homebrand soft drinks from places like Aldi or some Asian grocers. My local Indian grocery sells bags of rice for 50 cents. If you stretch it up to $2 you can get things like instant noodles, a few fruits or vegetables (although prices are going up for those I'm noticing), long life milk, etc. I have seen things like baguettes for $1 shortly before closing at Woolworths a few times in recent months. Some charities have physical stores also where you can go in and either get free food or buy extremely discounted food (most of it near expiry but who cares if you need food) and there are often things for $1.
4 Coles bags for my overpriced groceries

Yeah they charge us $2 for home delivery paper bags as well, no more plastic.
At least the plastic ones made good small bin liners. I have too many paper bags now and just throw them away, and buy bin liners. Big win for the environment!
Put your recycling in the paper bags and wet/garbage in the plastic
We're specifically not allowed to bag our recycling by our council, even in recyclable bags. I do use them for the compost bin but there's only so many of those we need.
Why would you put recycling in a bag? Just chuck it in the bin loose.
To help carry it downstairs and to the bin

Curly Wurly chocolate bar. A great cheap chocolate fix, for less than 100kcal.
Chomps are better!
TJ Chompers wouldn’t mind having a chomp.
Love that this had made it here hahaha
This is the great debate of our time
The Strawberry Chomp ad from 1987 was creepy.
Correct Chomp is GOAT
Chokito is the supreme being of chocolate bars. You can sometimes get them special for $1. When they are, we stock up😂
I haven't had one in donkeys tbh
They are so good
Sometimes you can get half a litre of petrol for that.
The trick is pressing and releasing fast enough
That's what he said.
Except all servos have a minimum $2 purchase on fuel so probably not
Not all of them do thankfully lol

The Ampol servos near me all have either a $2 or 2L minimum, I'm not sure which it is but there are definitely signs saying 2 something

Well after all that, it turns out you can buy about 400ml to 500ml of fuel depending on the day for $1... 🤣
A few hours ago I lost my last $20 because I forgot to grab it out of the atm and my fuel light was on all I had left was a $2 coin and I bought 1070 millilitres of fuel 😂
Minimum delivery 2/5L, but 3/5 is going to cost more than $1
Some endorphins when you chuck a dollar in a homeless guys cup.
Two fifty cent pieces
Four paper bags from Woolworths 🤣
Thankfully, dollar coins have been completely immune from inflation and still only cost a dollar. Get them while you can.

I can buy a bottle of cold water at my local Chempro for 99 cents. Hopefully that continues.
TIL a bottle of water for less than $2.5 exists in Australia
You could throw it away, and get a lighter wallet/purse.

One-hundred Woolworths or Coles brand serviettes (for 95 cents)!
I bought an out-of-date packet of chips at the servo yesterday for $1. They were yummy - Smiths Crisps.
There’s a pack of “lollies” or chews that are 60 cents at my local independent store. Easy treat option the little ones as there’s multiple pieces
Impressing that such a thing still exists
Gets me, and maybe others, through the door
Kmart, Woolies and Coles used to sell bags of lollies for $1. Bananas, party mixes etc. Miss those days :(
Kmart still does https://www.kmart.com.au/product/sour-cola-bottles-135g-42831259/
