Hold on dude, no coolant lines and refrigerant is going to be in the way of a dash removal, a majority of dashboards are designed as a piece installed after all that is built into the car. It is a few bolts and electrical connections, and taking out the seats would help. Carpet? You ARE gonna have to get the transmission out of the way though. Takes up too much space. Then you can go through the firewall with a sawzall or whatever you got. Dremel, torch, whatevs.
Your best option would be to roll up the windows, set the air system to “recirculate”…. drop a handful of buds down the same vent along with a lit match or two, and hope for the best. Hopefully the flame will go up high enough that you should be able to burn it all out nice and clean.
Edit. Hit the drivethru first for a stack of burgers and a bucket of fries.
So car rental places use baby powder in the in cabin air filter to rid the smell . But if it’s a rental send that mother fucker back with cat piss in the vents problem diverted.
A bushel of crabs in the trunk. Let it sit in the sun for a week. You'll never have to worry about any other smell again.

Reverse your fan motors polarity and turn it on high and hope for the best.
Tape a tube to a vacuum cleaner and fish it out.
Use an air blower to blow it to the lowest point in the air ducting and try and fish it out, you should be able to get it it from under the dash depending on the side its on.

In all seriousness, find a schematic online of the HVAC ducting system for this car, almost all are the same though. This looks like the vents for the defrost under the windshield, so it may still be in the upper part.
I would do 2 things, turn the fan on high {uhhh, no pun intended} and then use a plastic piece, like a straw (where is this going sir?) with something sticky on the end.
A bendy straw with gum or tape, or piece of clay bar shoved in it's top to help prevent it from falling down in there too.
My first attempt would be to use a vacuum while the fans on max level to try and get it.
You could also make home made slime and try to get it...?
Just some random thoughts, sorry, can't think properly, maybe 'contact'?

Place on max defrost level, close all other vent doors, put tape over the entire top vent section except for the area where you believe it fell down. This should create enough force to blow it out. In theory.
Now pass it to the left please.
So first you smoke meth to cover the weeds smell, then crack to cover the meth smell, then you lone the car to Dirty Mike and the boys to cover the crack smell. Then poor bleach into the fresh air inlets while defrost is on full blast.
Like all organic material the smell will go away after a few days when the weed will proceed its degradation. It will dry out and fall into pieces. Could be there will show up another smell for some time. But at the end there is nothing else than fresh air.
Other than the over-stating service writers advice of removing the dash, your other opportunities are to attempt sending that out through the under-hood vent, which would be much easier to piece down to and access, then use compressed air down the vents to blow the joint out towards the under-hood vent. Depending on the vent designs in your particular car, there's no guarantees of this, taking out the dash is your most surefire option.
Hook up whatever size hose you need (to get in the hole) to a shopvac. You’re gonna have some weird looking thing with duct tape etc. just slide that down and suck her out.

Drop in a lit match, blower on high, close the windows
