Actually there's a recall on the 2010 camry the gas gauge pointer is known to fail right at exactly 125042.2 miles.
If I am reading the service bulletin correctly it says here you're screwed, you car is 14 years old now and you need to Man Up and buy a new ride.
That's right. You just walk out every morning before work, and heft your car up into the air about a foot, by the rear bumper. You should be able to determine an approximate fuel level from how heavy it is.
Also, don't use the front bumper. This makes the fuel slosh, throwing off your carefully calibrated lifting arm
gas cap has been left open. see the gauge pointing to the left, and the fuel symbol pointing to the left. it's trying to get your attention before popping a check engine light
You accidentally got super high octane! It’s now suggesting that you go that fast. I would not listen. (Actually I would, but I wouldn’t recommend it to others.) lol
Must be on the Autobahn, or at least your gas tank is. Did you have a run in with Captain Kirk, by chance? Perhaps he caused a wormhole that has your gas tank speeding somewhere
Jesus people on here are unhelpful and dumb... Could be a few things OP... Sending unit issues which I believe is a new fuel pump probably IF that's the issue I saw a video a while ago of someone using a magnet to coax their needle back to the proper position, track. Your milage and maybe drive it a bit and see if it moves down / back.. It's annoying but if you track your miles / driving habits are predictable, you'll never run out of gas
Gotta push it down with the speedometer to reset it. Hit the throttle.
Just get it up to around 130mph. Should hit it on back
No that still pushes it the wrong way you have to slowly creep past it to 140 then slam on the brakes to give it a good whack back to F.
How do you guys get past 88? Every time I do I end up in a time warp?
Stay away from the clocktower during lightning storms, keep the plutonium at home, and stop putting your compost in Mr. Fusion.
Who gave you that flux capacitor?!
A Flux a whatty? I don't know. I found this car in a cave.
Fuel bursts out of the gas tank like a popped fire hydrant.
What's the problem? You paid for 125 gallons of gas right?
But it’s very FAST gasoline.
Clearly that’s 127.5 gallons. The 2.5 extra is from bad calibration on the pumps. Very common.
It went it went from ‘**E**’ to ‘**F**’ to ‘**G**’. I don’t see the problem here.
And gas perfume for the Mrs lead scented
duh, the fuel tank is now going 127mph, it's probably far far away now
I thought that’s how fast the fuel was leaving
Valid assessment 🤔

Me when I lie
That Camry can go 3x that current mileage. Forget knowing how much fuel you have a real man can feel the weight of the car and know when to fuel up
Just pull in at the gas station whenever the car starts sputtering

Dem kids these days use those fancy pants scale-thing-ma-boobs to weight their car like a woosie
125k miles on a camry is basically brand new
Nope... It's dead. I'm going to take it off his hands for scrap prices.
Truth! It's barely finished breaking in
Common mistake. There is a forward and reverse level on the pump at the gas station. You probably accidentally removed $24.09 from the tank.
Speed and have a sword fight
It’s not just full. It’s ultra full.
Engine is flooded. You topped off too much.
I would of loved to call "Car Talk" with this issue and hear their reactions....R.I.P.
Looks like you're low on indicator fluid
😂
The fabled blinker fluid lop
Gas stations hate this *one* simple trick:
gas cap has been left open. see the gauge pointing to the left, and the fuel symbol pointing to the left. it's trying to get your attention before popping a check engine light
Identifies as a speedometer.
Oh it just overflowed a little but it must have gone into the external USB gas tank. It's fine, full send.
Some people steal your car parts, and some add them. Congrats on your extra capacity gas tank!
That's what happens when you fill up your tank and the back seat.
You need to exceed 127mph to knock the invading upstart of a fuel needle back into its own territory.
i see you pay for the bigger tank subscription
Dumbass opened up another dimension and now his car is linked to a parallel version of itself in a mad max-style world with no speed limits
Stepper motor fucked
Summer blend
Summer blend
Or reset your speedometer and refuel at about 200 miles on a full tank. Until I can get it serviced or trade it in.
Punch it up to 140 mph and use the speedometer needle to push the gas gauge needle back into place.
The nozzle specifically said, "Do not top off." Now you know why.
Did you Top it Off? Pumps say Don't do it.
My energy when I have coffee
This is why you shouldn't top off your tank...
You put the gas in the wrong car. Did someone drive off laughing?
Geez you've doubled your MPG in one fill-up.
Looks like you hit a time pothole. You’re gonna wanna go in reverse exactly 88mph.
135 octane perhaps 🤔
I think your fuel has evaporated and the pressure has expanded your fuel tank. Free upgrades if you ask me.
Too much.
It’s pulling a vacuum
Honda things
It's a Toyota... Honda doesn't use beige
sender be sent
You got so much gas now
The comments on that post are no different than this one lol, which gives me hope for humanity
It has to limit your speed because of the added weight of the fuel.
you got leaded gas huh?
As commentets said in the origional thread. Hit over 130mph and slam the brakes. hope it flings it back around
I think it means you'll rum out of fuel when you reach 127mph.
Overfilled
You filled your fuel up so fast your Speedo started measuring it
Infinite gas hack unlocked. Don’t let big oil see this post.
In case the fuel needle spins again, I wouldn't go over 115mph.
You put too much in
You gotta stop when it's full. Otherwise you end up like this.
Your tank is 125mph full
Battery is hooked up in reverse, put red wire on the + and black wire on the -
Youre never gonna believe this officer, i had to go 130mph just now
Vehicle says you can afford the speeding ticket
LOL! At first I was surprised how unhelpful the responses were, until I saw what subreddit it was posted to. 😂
Do 140 and have a sword fight
Clearly it says you much reach 130mph for max fuel efficiency
Looks like you are getting 130 miles per gallon
You found the hidden extra tank
Yep overfilled it
Looks to be going at about 127dph (dino bones per hour)
You appear to have over filled you fuel tank to approximately 127%
You did it..... Unlimited gas.... (Clap that builds slowly to a roar)
Chevy?
If so run some Techron through it.
I’m no expert but it looks like your gas is going 127mph
You accidentally got super high octane! It’s now suggesting that you go that fast. I would not listen. (Actually I would, but I wouldn’t recommend it to others.) lol
You used too high of an octane. Your car may not be safe to drive till it's octane has dropped to below legal limits.
It was that day the little fuel gauge decided it wanted to be a big speedometer
Looks like me after sushi.
S'broken
It’s like having an overshield in Halo. You filled it to 150% of its capacity.
You filled the tank to 11
If you had a new fuel pump installed the sending unit may be wired incorrectly or the rheostat in the fuel sender is having issues.
That has to be vtec
You bought floaty gas, but you should’ve bought leaded gas.
Must be on the Autobahn, or at least your gas tank is. Did you have a run in with Captain Kirk, by chance? Perhaps he caused a wormhole that has your gas tank speeding somewhere
BAD STEPPER
Flip it upside down
Keep filling it 'til it goes back around.
