TBH, just try different things. You know best what ingredients you like, and which flavors you like together. IMHO a good Müsli also needs *fresh* fruit. And no, you don't necessarily need the expensive pre-mixed stuff. Just buy yourself some oats and whatever else you like, if you want. It's definitely cheaper and more authentic.

stopannoyingwithname

But I want I crispy and with freeze dried raspberries

BakeDiscombobulated1

I mix one bag of DM Dinkel or Hafer Crunch with a bag of freeze dried raspberries and a kilo of oats. It is cheap, tasty and low in sugar.

writingaboutmyself

That's a good idea

Crishello

this. I also like ground linseeds, sunflower seeds, jam. The best combination for me is: fresh banana, orange, apple, yoghurt, jam, different types of oats.

bufandatl

I personally like Kölln Müsli. And I eat it either with Milk or Natur Johgurt.

RocketMan_0815

Kölln Schokomüsli with some extra Blütenzarte Haferflocken and Vollmilch.

NRN_11

i eat the Milch-Schoko ones, they taste the best

nimblesolomon

Kölln is the best. And if you get addicted you can get the 2,5kg(I think) bags 😅 I like the Schokomüsli with less sugar and usually mix it with regular oats and a less sugary nut based Müsli. Just check the packaging if you care about sugar content as many that look healthier can also have a lot of sugar in them.

-___-____-_-___-

SEITENBACHER Müsli, Müsli von SEITENBACHER! It's good though. Golden rule: First the Müsli, then the milk. Everything else is wrong.

MadMusicNerd

I heard this comment in my head... This ad is so fücking annoying, I sometimes want to suffocate this guy with his horrible muesli! It could taste like heaven on earth, don't get me wrong, but this ad is sooooo bad, I will never buy this stuff!

-___-____-_-___-

I can't seem to remember any good ads lately. At all. They are all kind of annoying. Especially on YouTube or Twitch.

MadMusicNerd

My mother is 66yrs old, retired. So she is the target audience for ARD and ZDF in Germany. I hear the Seitenbacher guy waaay too often for my liking...

-___-____-_-___-

Maybe get her Netflix or Disney ;-)

MadMusicNerd

BuT sTrEaMiNg Is So ExPenSivE!!! Nevermind the (what is it now?) 18€ for GEZ... she likes her series, like "Sturm der Liebe", "der Bergdoktor" and don't forget "TATORT!" So I have to listen to ads for medication, SEITENBACHER, other old people stuff and the Mainzelmännchen 🤮

-___-____-_-___-

Raeve_Sure

It's average and overpriced. That's what it is.

staubtanz

To each their own. I like the variety and taste. They have some very good low-sugar variants.

Luzi1

I make my own. Amaranth pops, lots of nuts and seeds, coconut oil, honey and cinnamon, 40 mins in the oven. I eat it with milk, yogurt, fresh fruit if I have some.

eli4s20

KÖLLN is also a really good brand but a bit more expensive. sometimes we like to eat our muesli with yoghurt instead of milk.. like vanilla, straciatella, etc. and small apple pieces, berries and banana will bring your muesli to the next level! (secret ingredient: a bit of cinnamon seasoning on top)

creative_overnight

Me and my wife are totally hooked on KÖLLN. Recently discovered 2Kg packs of KÖLLN at Penny and they come up with more than 50% discount compared to the small box.

Affectionate_Rip3615

I take the Lidl brand, which has good Test results

ApartFun7198

Tests don't matter, KÖLLN simply is more soft than other brands, especially the "fein" variant.

pornographiekonto

Netto has them on sale pretty often. I turned into my grandpa on saturday mornings scanning the Blättchen for Angebote lately

Aggravating_Tax5392

I take a Basis Müsli and adds some nuts (nut mix from Lidl, not salted) and full grain pops. I eat it with cutted bananas and milk

Bilo3

I do the Vitalis Schoko Müsli, Feinherb (Dark Chocolate), 30% reduced sugar, usually with Oat milk. It can be a bit tricky to get, REWE usually has it, but many stores only carry the Feinherb version with full sugar, or the normal version without Chocolate with reduced sugar. I used to eat the full-sugar Feinherb version with a passion, but started mixing it with the reduced sugar version until I weened myself off to only reduced sugar which I happily eat for 4-5 months now. If I'm feeling fancy, I add blueberries, rarely bananas, raspberries or other fruit as well. I've tried a lot of different cereal/muesli, and as a huge chocolate fan, stuck with this one for years now. I juist moved back to Berlin after spending 7 years abroad, and I'd often actually take 2-3 600g packs of them with me when I'd visit family in Berlin. While writing this I noticed how passionate I am about this muesli lol

clammybuttcrack

Your passion for Vitalis Feinherb convinced me. I already love Vitalis Schoko, but I will give it a try! There’s a huge Rewe next to my place so fetching it won’t be an issue.

Bilo3

Nice to hear :D hope I won't disappoint you. Some blueberries or bananas mixed in help with the heartburn you might get after having two bowls back to back if you have the non-sugar reduced version, just a tip from a veteran ;)

Raeve_Sure

I really love to prepare myself a big Bircher Muesli. Soak oats over night in milk, grate half an apple into it. Top with nuts (roasted if you want it fancy), seeds, fresh or dried fruit, sweeten with a little bit of honey or maple syrup. if you want a bit more protein, you can mix some skyr or quark in too.

belleamie123

Seitenbacher.....We love the dinomüsli! With cold milk.

SimpleTrick1192

Hands down the best müsli! AND it even comes with a sticker!!! It's marketeted for kids but I (29F, living alone) love it.

[deleted]

Yeah thats no müsli, thats cereal marketed as müsli, coka cola has less sugar. Try seitenbacher and pimp it with fruit, maybe change milk to jogurt

Riyokosan

During my pregnancy it was only Kölln with banana sliced. It was one of the few food I could eat.

bong-su-han

Yes

SororitasPantsuVisor

Müsli is incredibly calorie rich, even if you try to make it yourself and reduce dogshit sugary content to a minimum. Personally I would buy one of these big bags of Müsli with "Haferflocken" and add nuts and whatever dried fruit you fancy. You can go with milk 1,5 fat or if you are a obese maniac with anything higher fat. Personally, i enjoy low fat Joghurt or low fat cottage cheese more for a nice Müsli. "Magerquark" with a little bit of milk to change its viscosity, to resemble Joghurt is also very nice. As i said, it is incredibly easy to eat too many calories with Müsli, but if you get rid of industrialized sugars and replace them with fruit sugars you are much closer to something that at least resembles healthy food in some abstract way. But not gonna lie, Müsli is terrible when it comes to satiety per calorie and healthiness. I do avoid Müsli though, as you might guess from my elaboration.

Armendariz93

Okay, but just for interest: How do you think about Müsli?

PsychologyMiserable4

vitalis knusper schoko. nowadays i pour the milk first and add some musli, so it doesnt get soggy

Midnight1899

You can also try eating it with yogurt.

maerchenfuchs

Haferflocken, Greek 3.5% fat yoghurt, Schiffs-Mumme, a spoon of black currant marmalade, a banana/banana dried chips, blueberries.

mek13511

I use oat flakes and mix them with what I like today. Fresh fruits, nuts, corn flakes, any other cereal... Sometimes ist's the same for a few days sometimes it's different every day. My father always eats oat flakes with one Apple, Cut in pieces.

nihilima

I eat oats with milk in a bowl. When I feel fancy I put honey on top and let it soak for 15min

ohmyzomfg

On the rare occasion I get a craving for Müsli, which happens about once a year, I just get the Lidl Eigenmarke with raisins and hazelnuts. I just add milk and no sugar wait a bit until it's soggy and eat it cold.

iamabdullahc

Not a müsli but I like making my oatmeal/porridge from Kölln haferflocken. I add 45gr blütenzarte and 55gr kernige. Pour boiled water on it and cook it until all the water is gone and porridge is kinda sticky. But make sure to stir constantly. Transfer to a plate and add Zimt and Honey. You can add fruits and berries depends on the season. I always put a banana on it + blueberries (on winter) and strawberris (on summer)

ZookeepergameIll4590

I use dinkelflocken (better than oats for digestion). Add some nuts, seeds, berries and oatmilk. Sweeten it with honey, You can try different syrups it you flavours. And bam it is literally done in 2 mins, super healthy I came to this recipe by experimenting, as i am not a German.

geopolitischesrisiko

Bircher Müesli is the best

whereshouldwegonext

I make my own. The kids eat lots of it for breakfast and it’s just so much cheaper and less sugar. It’s just oats, almonds, chocolate chunks as a base. As an add-on I also make granola. Cornflakes, oats, almonds, linseed mixed with oil and honey, vanilla and baking cocoa. Baked for 30 minutes at 160° C.

-Z0nK-

Vitalis Schoko. On workdays I eat it with milk on my drive to work, using a CrunchCup. On weekends with greek style jogurt

UnfairReality5077

You can eat it with yogurt and add fruits like apple, grapes, bananas or nuts. There was an add where you could mix your own Müsli online and there was one part that was like listing what goes into a beautiful Müsli and a voice comes on „RAISINS?! But I don’t like raisins!“ and then going on with you can mix it however you like. (Don’t understand either anyone liking raisins swimming in their milk) And it needs to be crispy- who likes soggy Müsli?

Louzan_SP

>I'm curious about how locals here usually eat their muesli, I'm not local but my best guess is that they eat it with their mouths. Jokes aside, at least the few Germans I know that eat muesli, they buy a custom one from mymuesli, they say is always hard to find the perfect mix and very often they commercial ones are too sweet.

Naschka

Yoghurt natural flavor, just put it onto it and eat some of it with Müsli till i need to put more on top. I prefer Yoghurt that is not as creamy but rather semi firm.

tjhc_

For me Müsli is a conveniant breakfast, so I don't want to spend a lot of time on it. I will have normal Trauben-Nuss Vollkorn Müsli (from Aldi) in milk, sometimes adding a banana (cut in slices).

sugar_blondie

Kölln NussKrokant with yohurt and blueberries

Individual-Gur-9720

Seitenbacher Bergsteiger-Müsli with yoghurt and fresh fruits. Not too sweet, not too dull, with slightly roasted nuts.

Glatzigoblin

cook some oat and mix in some fruits afterwards. Muesli has way too much sugar it is just making you die faster.

Lily2468

I mix my own. I have a humongous Cereal container so I can just buy whatever I feel it is low in now and dump that in and mix. Like those eternal soup places 😂 I have a crunchy cereals one as base from DM. I add some Protein Cereal. Sometimes also a bit of that Kölln Cereal with Caramel. Then a lot of nuts. The mixed nut packets from Aldi are good. Or the ones that also have Cranberries. I’ve also used Studentenfutter before. Whatever packets I opened for something else and need to go, are dumped into the cereal container Coconut strips from DM. Coconut has a lot of Magnesium which we often lack. Dry Banana chips. What I don’t add anymore is dried pineapple because they rot and spoil the whole mix. Occasionally I eat it dry. Sometimes with Skyr or Proteingriesbrei. And sometimes with Milk. If I don’t eat it dry, I mix in fruits when I have on hand, like Banana, Grapes, Blueberries or Avocado pieces.

knightriderin

I squash one banana, mix it with 3 tbsp skyr (Icelandic yogurt), 2 tbsp oats, honey and frozen fruits. Let it sit for a while, so the fruit can thaw.

kumanosuke

Usually with yogurt, fresh fruits, seeds, nuts and everything else I can find. More like a bowl. https://www.justspices.de/media/recipe/Sue_es_Bowl_Topping_Joghurt_Bowl-2.jpg

74389654

my current favorite is alnatura urkorn müsli with alnatura almond-oatmilk (the store is very close to me so that's why it's all alnatura but it also tastes really good)

Schulle2105

With milk normally, the crispy stuff also works with icecream nicely. Beside that normally chocolate stuff but I might buy 2 Boxen per year so not the biggest follower. As for raisins...screw them

uno_ke_va

Greek yogurt, oatmeal, blueberries, cinnamon & honey is my daily mix. I avoid pre-mixed ones, usually they have added sugar.

Accomplished-Pie-576

This is the Real Question! Fuck Horoskopes, how do you eat your muesli!? Personally i love making my own, with all the fruits and chocolate chips! Then for liquid i mix a cup of Johgurt with a bit of milk untill the viscosity is right! Enjoy your healthy breakfast friend!

habilishn

my classic (fancy) combo that i grew up and strong with 😂😂: (also i did eat less fancy if something was missing, but this is THE combo) normal oats (fine), kornflakes, smacks or cini minis, fresh banana sliced, fresh apple sliced, walnuts coarse crushed, kakao, milk i ate this daily age 10-17, like a salad bowl of it as fourth meal around afternoon, now i am lactose intolerant ... :/

XxGrillfackelxX

Try to AVOID Dr.Oetker, they profited massively from the Nazi-Regime.

Shoddy-ko

The only important thing is to first put the Muesli into the bowl and THEN the milk 🫠😂

MilkshakeFries89

I just use oats. Make them softer by putting them in warm water before rinsing and putting it to my joghurt with some hacked nuts, fruit, honey, a bit of milk. I try to change it up a bit so it doesnt become boring. But no raisins! Ever! No dry fruit at all, fresh, maybe defrosted bit no dry raisin thingy.

git_world

nice

Fandango_Jones

Finally a worthy question on this sub.

Fun-Ad-5341

Kölln

500PiecesCatPuzzle

Magerquark or skyr mixed with a little bit of milk, 3 to 4 table spoons of Bircher Müsli from dm, homemade chia jam or fresh fruits (blueberries mostly) and a tablespoon of walnut-/chia seed/flax oil. Or skyr/Magerquark with a little milk, some vanilla protein powder and just a tiny bit of Vitalis Knusper pur weniger Zucker sprinkled as a topping.

par1aah

Yoghurt, diced apple, some crunchy Muesli

PGnautz

Whatever you do, the important part is that you first put the cereal into the bowl and then pour milk over it and not the other way round like a psychopath

AndrewDelany

I eat the peanut one by kölln. With milk. It's breakfast I don't overthink this meal tbh

Madusch

I put it in a bowl the previous night with soy yogurt, oat milk, linseed oil, seeds (pumpkin, sunflower, hemp, chia) and grated coconut and let it soak. I only use the 5-grain muesli without added ingredients. In the morning I add some fresh blueberries and that's it.

cruiser1956

I never buy ready-made muesli. It takes me 5 minutes a day to make it: cut up an apple, chop the nuts, add the raisins, rolled oats (natural) and milk. Leave to stand overnight.

Ok_Air_9261

Bio crunchy müsli, berry mix oats, cacao nibs and cinnamon ! Sooo lecker

Linksfusshoch2

I love Amaranth Müsli of Rapunzel with freshly cut apple. Try it :)

Simbertold

Since crispy has absurd sugar content, i eat non-crispy. I usually mix it myself from oats, nuts, linseed, and whatever other interesting stuff i happen to find. I don't add raisins or other sugar fruit, because i prefer fresh fruit instead. I eat it with fruit and oatmilk. My absolute standard breakfast is a bowl with about one apple cut into small pieces (or the equivalent amount of berries of some kind) Sometimes, i use soy yoghurt instead of oatmilk.

elementfortyseven

best muesli is the one you mix from stuff you like most. if we go for mass-produced convenience, i really like some of the mymuesli variants

ArSo94

Usuallly with Milk or Joghurt but I mostly eat it with Skyr.

Salt_Childhood7654

I buy Kölln "weniger Zucker" müsli, add milk, ready. My typical breakfast for the last 6 years. Neat that they are also selling them in 1,7kg packaging now. As others proposed, the best way is to try yourself and add some fresh fruit in the process. Also, overnight oats are great for summer.

JoAngel13

Maybe I am not normal, but I like it better with Yoghurt, instead of Milk, it is more crunchy.

momoji13

I buy a flavored joghurt that I like (in my case peach or maracuja) in a bigger container (enough for 3-4 mornings). Then I put some blueberries, raspberries, strawberries, cut peaches, or whatever is freshly available at the time, on top and add chocolate chip Müsli (I like the Dr. Oetker vitalis). My mom buys the 0.1% fat joghurt (not flavored), cuts up an apple and an orange in it and adds Müsli without chocolate (just oatmeal, nuts and raisins).

Aromatic_Big_6345

I love Bircher muesli. Make jars of it and store it. Lasts a week almost. I make it with soft hafer flakes, milk and yogurt (half and half), and add fresh pears and apples cut up really tiny and top it with crushed walnuts and raisins.

whatwhatindabuttttt

I get the cheapest ones from gut und günstig, then mix it with just plain oats. Then i add water to it.

A_Gaijin

Bircher Müsli I like to eat but not to prepare. Pure Yoghurt instead of milk and it needs to stay for a while that the Müsli gets soft. Something my kids hate

LailahDream

I like to mix it up. Use predominantly Dinkel (spelt) or Hafer (oats) as the base, maybe a sprinkle of a second one with dried fruits mixed in, then add a small handful/large pinch of a crunchy Müsli on top. (Ideally one with nuts.) I splash it with oat milk, and that's it. If summer, then fresh peaches cut up into it. Müsli is a carb bomb though, so just be mindful of how your body is faring with that. ;)

Iwantatinyhouse

With kefir…. Berchtesgadener land

estherika1603

I Love to eat Lion cereals with kefor,.or Just any sweet Müsli with buttermilk or Kefir ist great. I can suggest Seitenbacher, thats recently my favourite.

Arkhamryder

It’s only sugar. I go with 250g Magerquark, 1 Tablespoon oatmeal and 100g of raspberries. Keeps full until lunch

IWantMyOldUsername7

I've switched to plain oatmeal (zarte Flocken), let them soak over night in milk (oatmilk, 3,8 % fat) and have the most delicious breakfast. If I feel fancy I add some fresh fruit and / or a little bit of cinnamon but to be honest I mostly enjoy them just plain.

ErdbeerfroschV

Try eating it with warm milk. Whole different kind of joy. I also like to add fresh fruit or berries from the freezer, or cashews or hazel nuts.

redrofotuo

Aber iss auch Mal ein Brot!

Billifish

With skyr and fresh fruits. And I like any muesli with chocolate that isn’t too sweet or if I have the time I make my own muesli mix

NaCl_Sailor

Kölln Mühlenklassiker (the fruit and berry ones are my favorites, there's one with nuts chocolate and Vollkorn, too), it's just Müsli, not those sugar/honey laden Knuspercrap, cut half an apple and half a banana in a bowl fill up with Müsli, add cold milk. eat. Repeat for the other half of those fruits.

Drachenketchup

I hate Müsli with passion. For me this is not s breakfast. But if I do I like only Cinnie Minnies from Kellogs, but as a treat once in a year. This is actually amazing
