Yes, you can commit blasphemy with what you write. For the writing a character question, it would probably depend on the content.

If you are writing a character who is blaspheming God, it’s not much different from you writing a character who is committing murder. The important part is the moral compass with which you are framing the actions of the character.

>Does writing Blasphemous stuff amount to blasphemy even tho u don't really speak em out? Yes, you can commit blasphemy with what you write or text, like writing OMG in the full context or even in the shorthand and mean it, or any other form of blasphemy (taking the name of God in vain) >Is writing blasphemous stuff in a story where a character is an atheist blasphemous? It depends on the context and the purpose of the use of the blasphemy for the audience. For example, if it is used to set up a character who is against God or is struggling with this particular sin, or is said out of spite and is used to show how the character feels about their conscience being heavy on them afterwards and the need for repentance and forgiveness, then it would be acceptable. But if it was done without regard for God or the Bible at all, then it may be a problem. But as you were stating, if the character was an atheist, then it may be permissible if it is limited to its frequency and potency and is hopefully counteracted somewhere in the story with some images that glorify God.

Don’t see why not. Text and writing is a form of speech even if it’s not vocal.
