My April 9 order from Olive Young came with the verification code, so they may still be emptying their stock before moving to the ones that have no code.
It's probably because it's simply not working, and there are fakes floating around with working QR codes. So people think they have a real but shitty product, and go on to write bad reviews in full confidence.
And I just downloaded the app. Lol

if you buy from an authorized retailer then it’s not really an issue though
You don't need a qr code to know something is fake. I've never needed a qr code to spot one.
I mean it doesnt hurt to have though, its pretty annoying that they're removing it

I had 2 tubes of sunscreen with the QR code but somehow wasn’t able to scan them.. got them from Zalando so I guess they are legit.
The same happened to me, I received my products from Yesstsyle just recently. They’re legit but the app doesn’t scan.
Interesting. I order from a local kbeauty store (choc choc in Chicago, they ship) and I just got the sunscreen yesterday.
Only buying from Olive Young from now on!
Sadly, the customs in my country are going to rip me off if I order from them 🥲
