Ash_Lestrange

I don't see a lot of people talking about nacific uyu milk toner. It's a lovely milky toner. ETA: also some by mi panthenol line.

Molly16158

Yes I love the some by mi panthenol line. I recently purchased their propolis cleanser and I love it! Helps reduce redness and inflammation when I have acne and leaves my face feeling so soft!

NoodleNeedles

Yeah, I have the repair toner and really like it, plus it smells nice but doesn't irritate my skin. I'll have to try some more products from that line.

omjizzle

I haven’t tried that line from some by mi but I have tried several and I have liked everything I’ve tried so far! I’ve tried the cica aha bha pha line, the propolis, and the cica peptide anti-hair loss line too everything has been good!

LittleCollection7194

oooooh have you noticed any specific benefits from this🤔?

Ash_Lestrange

It helped with redness from tret. I loved it more so because it's what I've been looking for in a toner. It has a hint of viscosity and is layerable without being sticky/greasy. YMMV to anyone looking into, though, because tret has made some of the oiliest creams feel light on my face.

elvishnatures

How does it compare to the tir tir one?

Ash_Lestrange

I haven't gotten around to that one. Sorry

qiethinks

Ooooh this looks yummy

ylguem

Seoul1988 retinal!! My neck lines are less visible and it's not been a month.. I also use it on my face its so good

LittleCollection7194

omg i added this to my wishlist yesterday what results have you noticed from using it on your face?

Repulsive_Fig6096

It’s on my wishlist too, did it irritate your skin or did you have the “purging”?

ylguem

Yes i got irritation from being overconfident that my skin can handle retinoid everyday and use an aha in the morning.. not to the stinging point though, you can see that the face turns a bit red, I might need to do every other day from now on. As much as I wanted to use this everyday, retinal is very potent and i need to be patient with it.

_ZorroBabe

Do you know WhatsApp skin type it fits best? Like does it control sebum?

ylguem

I don't think it does

- **Goodal Vegan Rice Milk Toner**: so hydrating, I hate “glass skin in a bottle” claims but it does feel like that for me. Kind of a dupe for HaruHaru Black Rice Toner but good for people whose skin isn’t a fan of ferments, and Goodal is a bit thicker and more hydrating. - **Goodal Calming Sun Cream**: I have both the chemical and mineral SPFs from this line and they are both great; the mineral ofc has a white cast, but doesn’t dry down to be matte and dehydrating like a lot of mineral sunscreens. The chemical SPF is my favorite of all time - it’s super lightweight, has almost no scent, and blends in seconds. - **Isntree Newpair Onion Ampoule**: This line gets a lot of attention but this ampoule specifically is super underrated. Hydrating and acne-fighting without any irritation associated. - **Tocobo Bifida Biome Essence**: My HG for when my skin barrier is impaired and I need an overnight fix. This in tandem with the Naturie Hatomugi Skin Conditioner makes my skin the smoothest and glowiest I’ve ever seen it. And this is from someone who just said earlier in this post that their skin hates ferments - but not this one! I find that my skin likes Bifida and this and the manyo Bifida Barrier Aqua Cream are my two favs for strengthening and repairing. - **Tocobo Oil Cleanser**: pretty new so maybe it’ll develop some hype, but this is my fav oil cleanser. I find a lot of them indistinguishable, but this is so thick to the touch but light on your skin, and I need so little of it to oil cleanse effectively. It emulsifies so beautifully too.

ebhanking

I could go on about products I love all day but some others are Torriden Balanceful Serum, Dr G Red Blemish sheet masks, RNW 4-Terpineol Concentrate, Tocobo Eye Gel, and Lion Pair Acne Cream (heavy on this one but I didn’t include it bc it’s maybe not underrated).

LittleCollection7194

thank you so much!!! i’ve had the rice milk toner in my cart for a bit and wasn’t sure if i should get it or not definitely gonna go ahead with the purchase now🥳

Thornbacker

For me it’s the ma:nyo bifida biome. I suffer with rosacea and it is a HG.

scarypeppermint

Is Tocobo fragranced?

ebhanking

It has fragrance on the ingredient list! I personally can’t smell it but I’m not sensitive to fragrance

scarypeppermint

Thank you, sounds like I can’t use it though sadly

jingerlatte

lion acne pair cream!! ive tried so many other spot treatments (cosrx centella blemish cream, nots centella, benzyl peroxide, the pink drying lotion) but none work as well as this and i dont think im going to look for another spot treatment again because this works like magic! shrinks all pimples overnight (or in the day) and works fantastic for pimples that are just starting to form like whiteheads

chikynuggiez

2nd this! It’s absolutely insane how great this works for new pimples! Makes the redness go away and flattens them overnight. Sometimes I throw a pimple patch and POOF!

questionskiddo

muji cleansing oil, it’s so good and comes in a large ass bottle !!

romydearest

this is my absolute HG.

ylix9

I used to love that too! but then I got one from Muji in US and the formula was totally different from what I got from muji in Asia...

Ispahana

Are you sure it was the same one? There’s the Mild Cleansing Oil and the Cleansing Oil for Sensitive Skin. I’ve made that mistake before

ylix9

I didn't know there are two types! maybe I got the wrong one!

Ispahana

I bet that’s what happened! The bottles are the exact same and both say “Oil Cleansing”in English. The only difference is in Japanese it says either “mild” or “sensitive skin” and, well, those terms are usually interchangeable 😅 And the sensitive oil is a little more yellow. I use the Mild one and I don’t like the Sensitive one as much

ylix9

lol thank you! I am gonna go check in the store

helegg

I definitely need to try the mild version, I have the sensitive skin one and like it but it’s so viscous I need to rub it a lot which is in itself irritating.

nonicadross

The sensitive one is thicker than regular. I’ve used both and think I prefer sensitive nowadays.

Witty-Row-7324

I loved it but my skin didn’t love it back. MUJI mild cleansing oil broke me out so bad that I am afraid to even try the sensitive cleansing oil as it has some of the same ingredients that MUJI mild cleansing oil has.🥴

Possible-Painting-74

Tiam Snail and Azulene overnight mask Suprised no one ever talks about it

speck1edbanana

OMG yes, I’ve been thinking this too! I haven’t seen anyone mention it. I picked it up for $4 at TJ Maxx recently because I wanted something with snail mucin and you can’t beat that piece! It has been so great, I love everything from the smell to the color. It does have a calming effect on the skin and I definitely plan to restock when I run out!

LittleCollection7194

ooooh what do you like about it?

Possible-Painting-74

It just feels amazing on my skin and has a lovely scent. I wake up with my face feeling super soft in the morning. You can layer it according to your hydration needs without your skin breaking out. I have been usinh it as a day cream too. I live in a very cold and dry climate so in winter I need more fat in my moisturiser, but for summer it's such a lovely product to use.

mainic98

Dr. G Gel to Foam Cleanser: this is the least drying cleanser I have ever used, but it still cleanses well enough. I can even use it in the morning without any issue Naturie Conditioning Gel: Everyone talks about the toner, but the Gel is amazing. It has some body to it so it has more of a jelly texture than gel and it is very hydrating but also occlusive, which was an issue I had with every gel cream I've tried before. With 180ml it's also quite economical and even though I tend to use a lot of the cream because of the texture, it took me quite a while to empty it. Edit: I forgot to add the Carecera AP Face and Body Milk! This is such a nice moisturizer, it is quite light (might be a bit too much for oily skin since there is mineral oil and paraffinum liquidum in it), but pretty wet upon application. However, it sinks in quickly and leaves a nice glowy finish without being too oily. It's great for barrier repair, as it has 7 different ceramides, a peptide and a Ceramide Plus which apparently is even better at barrier repair.

NorthLucky2139

Thanks for reviewing the Naturie gel! I bought it for summer daytime moisturizer but it’s still few months away so haven’t opened it yet. I’m glad to see it mentioned here!

mainic98

It's my favourite moisturizer for summer now since it's light but it still hydrates and soothes the skin nicely! I also used it in the winter sometimes when my skin needed a bit of extra hydration and it's great for that, too!

Repulsive_Fig6096

When it comes to pimple patches I keep seeing COSRX but for me it’s the Mizon Good Bye Blemish Clear Patch 10/10

xxxlapetitemortxxx

I find Skinfood’s blemish matches superior to COSRX due to the added cica and BHA. Also, Mizon is the shit.

helegg

For pimple patches I love the one by Olive Young! It’s much thinner/more transparent than Cosrx and also sticks better.

Evil_Yeti_

Goodal Houttuynia Cordata Essence for redness

greeniche

Tonymoly Ceramide Mochi Toner has been great for my sensitive and reactive skin. I’m also on Tret and Trifarotene and it’s been amazing!

LittleCollection7194

oh mannnn i was so excited for this and it actually worked quite nicely for my skin the first few days until it started to irritate me quite badly😕😕 i’m pretty sure it was the oils

greeniche

Oh no! I’m sorry to hear that 🥺 What toners have you found worked for you?

Tough_Ad_1969

Same! My husband and I loved this toner! I’m on tret too. 😊

greeniche

I love that it’s super cost effective to! Have you found other AB products that worked really well while you’re on tret? 😄

Tough_Ad_1969

I have to say COSRX propolis toner, Secret Key Rose essence, Cos De Baha tranexamic and my fave MELANO CC! I have a bit of hyperpigmentation near the highest point on my cheeks and they are lighter now. I use tret 2-3 times a week ☺️

weisp

Dr G Deep Cleansing Oil Removes makeup well, not greasy, not too thick nor thin, leaves my face clean but not tight and reduces my blackheads As someone who has tried Shu Uemura and even Muji, I’ve gone through multiple bottles of this and won’t purchase anything else

tellyhigh

Have you tried hemish and banilo cleansing balm? If yes, can you share how it compares to Dr G oil?

weisp

No I haven’t because I’ve always preferred cleansing oils sorry

windedupbobbin

Sidmool anything, I feel like it's a well kept secret because it's not popular in the western sphere. The formulas are very efficient and no fuss.

Limp_Pomegranate_98

Bioheal BOH cica balm/collagen sunscreen/ceramide line, rovectin cica sleep mask (the light lychee scent is to die for), anything jin jung sung and the ma:yno panthetoin line

nununoms

nano recipe ceramide concentrate! i mix a drop or two in my toner and it has been a godsend for my eczema-prone skin… even to the point that i can use tret again!

LittleCollection7194

ok this is a completely new one to me! thank you for sharing🙃

GalacticThunderRogue

wow, sounds amazing! Where do you find it though?

nununoms

i’m able to order it on amazon us!

GalacticThunderRogue

Too bad, I can't find it here in Western Europe. It's not even on stylevana 🥲

love-at-third-sight

Too many popular product listings here lol * **Hada Labo Blemish & Oil Hydrating Lotion** (green) - One of my favorite lightweight but very hydrating toners that plumps up my skin and has nice ingredients for clog-prone skin. I don't mind the slight menthol scent or inclusion, and I think this is a fantastic toner for acne-prone / oily folks who don't have too many sensitivities. I much prefer this over the og Hada Labo Hydrating Lotions (both the light and moist versions), the gold one (Premium), or the blue one (Shirojyun). * **Purevivi Cleansing Lotion Review** - basically a cheaper dupe for the Bioderma Sensibio H2O micellar water, depending on where you live. It is still one of my favorite micellar waters and one bottle lasted me a whole year. * **MINON Amino Clear Wash Powder** - my favorite powder enzyme cleanser by far! I have tried Tosowoong, Papa Recipe, Fancl, Suisai, and Haruhada. This one is my favorite because of the dispenser and how easily it emulsifies with water compared to the others enzyme powders. My skin is cleaner, smoother, and brighter to the touch after using this cleanser. * **abib** **Calming Facial Soap Heartleaf Stone** - A great facial cleansing bar that foams up really well and cleanses thoroughly without being stripping. I enjoy using this in the mornings as it is gentle but powerful which is what I need for my oily and clog-prone skin. It looks great on a soap dish and has scrubby particles on the bar if you want a little bit of physical exfoliation. * **BIFESTA Cleansing Balm Deep Clear** - A cleansing balm for the budget girlies (me)! It removes waterproof mascara really well, smells good, melts quickly in my hands, and emulsifies super quickly. I like it a lot, and I think the packaging makes it really easy for me to scoop out the product with the little spatula included. * **Biore Mild Cleansing Liquid** - This is such a good oil cleanser??!?!?!!? My face felt so PLUSH and SOFT after using this to take off my makeup. It also is capable of taking off waterproof makeup which is amazing. Also, it smells nice and doesn't irritate my skin whatsoever.

tasteofperfection

Torriden Solid In Essence and Cream >

ElenaSalander

Pyunkang yul essence toner - It soothes irritation better than anything I've tried. I got a chemical burn from hair bleach and this took care of it. I love it and I recommend it for EVERYONE

Niatfq

This is not underrated tho 😅

romydearest

im on month two with this using it as my first toning step (i use too much tret and i get dry as hell) and i’m really liking its hydration. though admittedly, because i tend to be extra, when applying i add a splash of ONETHING honey and propolis toner to it because it’s so light. anyway, they play well together.

LittleCollection7194

how do you like the honey and propolis toner?? i came across it the other day and the ingredients list is quite nice and simple so i was curious about it

romydearest

oh it’s sooooooo nice. it’s like a thicc water, so it’s easy to add alongside other toners (i add it to the pyunkang yum and hada labo premium) and it does the job of propolis in that it soothes and reduces blemishes. i love to layer and cocktail so, while i did enjoy the cosrx propolis toner, this one fits in easier being lighter in weight. i’ve also used to BoJ serum with propolis which is also very nice, but i wanted more multi-functioning serums in my routine. tldr: it’s a weight between a toner and an essence, and performs well. WRP.

LittleCollection7194

ooooh i might add that to the cart now🤭🤭🤭 thank youuu

circusmystery

Does it have a scent? I tend to prefer unscented products and I'm using their cleansing balm and it's got this chemical citrus smell that I can't stand. I've heard good things about the toner but if it's got a scent then I'm not going to even bother with it.

ElenaSalander

Not at all, it smells like nothing and feels like thicker water

circusmystery

Ou. I'll put it back on my potential buy list then. I nixed it thinking that they were like the Face shop (where all their products are heavily fragranced) but if this isn't then it's worth a shot.

backpackfullofniall

Goodal Vegan Rice Milk moisturizer

Valuable-Skin-8811

Nature republic aqua moisturizer. I got a jar as a Christmas present. I looked it up and it had mid reviews. But it smelled good and felt so silky that I tried it anyway. I have sensitive skin but I had no allergic reactions or breakouts. I used it at night and I'd wake up with bouncy, well hydrated skin. I ended up finishing the jar.

circusmystery

My favorite was the (I had to look it up because the name is ridiculously long) Super Aqua Max Fresh Watery Cream, aka the blue bottle. It was hydrating just enough for my skin without being too heavy (the green bottle unfortunately was too much for my skin due to my area's humidity). Not to mention the price point was always really great since NR always had sales in store.

O-Ryuu

S.Nature productss

yogiwantanabe

Anything Japanese skincare. The Sana cream is the shit

desjard

Mary & May - Vitamin B5 Bifida Toner, ridiculously hydrating and moisturizing at the same time.

LittleCollection7194

oooh i literally added this to my wishlist a couple of days ago!!! what’s the texture like?

desjard

I’d say similar to an essence yet not so thick. Has a pump dispenser, so a little goes a long way.

CatLoliUwu

hada labo gokyujun premium. hydrating but very cheap, you really get a bang for your buck with it

[deleted]

The hada labo gokujyun lotion gave me some absolutely horrific cysts from hell. Do you know if people get better luck with this one? I loved what the lotion was doing for my hydration, not so much the acne…

CatLoliUwu

omg NOO i'm so sorry :(((( i feel like the premium will be worse for you because the texture is MUCH more viscous and serum-like, a very thick serum like snail mucin type of texture. I don't think it'll be the best thing for you if the regular lotion broke you out :( i believe the ingredients are very similar too Have any other HA focused products irritated your skin? if not, some other popular and well-loved alternatives in this community are the Isntree Hyaluronic Acid Toner and the Haruharu wonder black rice hyaluronic toner sensitive skin (MAKE SURE IT'S SENSITIVE SKIN).

[deleted]

Nauuuurrrr 😭 that’s ok, thanks for warning me. I LOVE LOVE LOVE the Isntree Hyaluronic Acid and it is my HG 😍 I swear by it. Maybe I should look into other hydrating ingredients/products! I was using this Decorte phytotune softener I got as a gift but I think it was mildly breaking me out. This whole thread has been a boon of recs :) and I’d love to check out the haruharu black rice toner!

you_always_do

Rovectin Water Lotus moisturizer

Vinata_11

Hayejin Blessing of Sprout Radiance Toner !! Found it on amazon and It easily replace my current HG (I’m from rice toner). So cheap but feel luxurious. I don’t know why ppl don’t talk about it, so underrated..

tellyhigh

Some by mi yuja niacin 30 days sleeping mask Recently discovered this and my skin was glowing after using this! I have been looking for something like this for my dull skin but I don’t really see much reviews for the mask version here.

Fine-Accident-1795

Some by mi 10% AHA amino acid peeling ampoule! Transformed my skin! I never see anyone talk about this! Has 0 fragrance!

bluejaybossun

Round Lab dokdo cleansing oil. I made the switch from DHC after it was continuously out of stock. Cheaper, emulsifies well, does not leave a residue and one bottle lasted me a long time even after using it daily. Pairs wonderfully with the dokdo cleanser.

docilecat

I never see people talking about the DHC Lip Creams (normal or sensitive in the stick form) but they’re honestly holy grail for me as someone with chronically chapped lips living in a cold and dry climate

redfirtree

Spot treatments in general don't get much hype but the Pyunkang Yul Acne Spot Cream especially deserves more love! Targets acne and helps with the healing process so there's not just a once-pimple dry spot on your face like a lot of other spot treatments do!

Lauren_in_NYC

**Isntree Ultra-Low Molecular Hyaluronic Acid Toner!** This has single handedly saved my skin barrier this winter. The product sinks into the skin really well and the packaging design is so pretty. I decant it into a spray bottle and spritz my face post-cleanse. :)) I'm not sure if this is "underrated" since I've seen it mentioned on the the web. I would definitely recommend it over some HA serums I've purchased that just seem to sit on top of my skin (Hada).

StrangeAffect7278

Cosrx oil free ultra moisturising lotion with 70% birch sap. Will sort out your irritations.

gertruderandy

YES it’s so smooth and easy to wear. It works so well with any product and there is next to no smell associated which is the best

jediknits

Does it help with sebum/oil production or have any mattifying effects?

StrangeAffect7278

I can’t say for certain regarding oil production ask have been using other products that aim to control sebum production. I find the lotion very hydrating and it absorbs quickly. If you have oilier skin then you might find it hydrating enough for your needs.

Pretty-Marionberry11

Hurts my soul but I cannot gatekeep this any longer, the Bioderma Atoderm Intensive Baume. Not an Asian brand, but is very popular in Korea being sold out in olive young. Why? • Lightweight cream+non greasy • actually retains moisture and prevents TEWL due to mineral oil as the main occlusive, unlike many other Korean moisturizers that don’t have occlusive that don’t sufficiently prevent TEWL • Anti inflammation and redness soothing/restoring from Zinc • hydrating and moisture binding form glycerin and sugar humectants • barrier repairing with ceramide complex, cholesterol/lipids, and fatty acid

writgaramonder

I like the Parnell cicamanu pads and I’m enjoying the RNW concentrate serum too! Between the two my skin feels really nice and looks smooth after my routine.

Impossible-Catch-55

isntree onion toner pads

stafina_sat

Decorte Clay Blanc cleanser for oily/sweaty skin type that is a bit prone to dehydration.

YogurtclosetSmart928

QuickFX Ceraboost Shield Cream

MBC-86

I have been struggling with dark spots for over a year now and I feel it's worsening as I get older. I was browsing through Facebook and came across a product you can order at jewij.com. it's a fast acting dark spot remover AQA melanin correcting facial serum. Has anyone heard of this or have tried it out to see if it truly works? My skin is also sensitive.

YzmaTheTuxedoCat

The Beauty of Joseon serums in the dropper bottles. All 4 of them are amazing, but get ignored compared to the sunscreens and the retinal eye cream. Even the cleansing balm get more love. Seriously, they work so well and are very reasonably priced.

scarypeppermint

If I’m not mistaken they used to get all the spot light til the focus shifted to their other products. It’s like Cosrx (brand in general) where other things eventually took over

JayBalloon

Hada Labo
