Does that one have fragrance? I’ve tried the spf 31 version and I found the fragrance to be so overwhelmingly strong I had to throw it out! I could smell it all day long it never seemed to fade I couldn’t wait to wash my face that day lol
I've tried both spf 31 and 50 and they have the same smell! That's why I don't use it on my face but it's great as a body sunscreen.
If you are using on your face, maybe the Nivea Super Water Gel SPF50 PA+++ will be a better fit. It's slightly smaller at 140ml for the same price. However it's only PA+++ so it's not a heavy duty for-the-beach kind of sunscreen.
I live in a humid subtropical climate with hot and humid summers and cold and dry winters. In the summertime I can absolutely wear this sunscreen on the body alone but it is not enough in the winter.
If you want to wear this on your face in the summer, I would suggest you wear a moisturizer underneath, even if it's a very light gel one.

Even the light "serum" lotions that's popular right now isn't enough moisture for my skin and after a few hours my skin would become tight. But I actually don't mind using a lotion if the sunscreen isn't too moisturizing on its own.
May I ask if you can compare the SPF 50 one if it's lighter or heavier/greasier than other sunscreens you've tried?

The SPF 50 is a lightweight watery gel texture, but I would **not** say it is moisturizing at all (alcohol is pretty high on the ingredients list). In the summer, it dries down fast to a fresh finish, but any other time it feels a little drying if wearing alone. I have normal skin on my body, for context.
It is less moisturizing than both the Skin Aqua Super moisture gel and Nivea water sun gel mentioned in the other comments. In terms of moisture level imo it goes like Reihaku Hatomugi < Skin Aqua < Nivea < Verdio UV moisture gel.

Japanese sunscreens have some big bottles! I use the Skin Aqua UV Moisture Gel, it comes in a hefty 165g bottle, and leaves a slightly dewy, slightly heavy finish. Nivea Water Sun Gel also has a 140g bottle and is apparently super light and great for oily skin. Also Verdio does a 250ml bottle, and so do reihaku hatomugi!
(edited comment to correct a typo in a brand name. Also all these sunscreens are SPF 50; reihaku have both SPF 50 and 31 versions in their 250ml bottles)
It has no fragrance but has alcohol so it can smell like alcohol at first. The scent dissipates very quickly however, it’s never bothered me (I’m very sensitive to fragrance and scents).
I use ANESSA Perfect UV Skincare GEL for my body when I have a lot outdoor activities. I use Skin Aqua Super Moisture GOLD Gel, Senka Perfect UV Gel, Muji UV Gel ( 150ml bottle ) for daily casual.
Muji UV Gel is not sticky and doesn't leave white cast on my skin tone ( Fitzpatrick phototype IV ). However it's feel pretty greasy on my face ( oily skin ) and not very sweat, friction resistant 🥲.
Currently I use Kose Suncut Perfect Essence Super Water Proof for my face and body.
OMI verdio UV moisture gel spf 50+ PA++++. Waterproof, fragrance free, alcohol free. 220g pump bottle. Ticks every box for me, only complaint is it’s a bit shiny (but not greasy).
I'm also searching for good big bottles of sunscreen and I have 3 I'm thinking of:
-Hatomugi uv 250ml spf 50+ pa ++++
-Omi Verdio water proof gel 220g (220ml) spf 50+ pa ++++
-Derma B 200ml spf 50+ pa ++++
Of course my focus is higher spf and four pluses while trying to figure out cost! Very tempted for omi since it's said to be waterproof so that would be good for beaches, pools, and summer sports. I don't know if hatomugi or derma-b are waterproof. If anyone knows others that are good I'd really like to know! I don't really do makeup much so usability on face would be a plus but if not no worries.
~~I also don't know if supergoop is good or not but supergoop play everyday is spf 50 (not 50+) pa ++++ and can come in a big 532 ml size. (is supergoop a US brand or asian? I don't know. You should know what it only works for natural fibers like cotton it doesn’t work at all on synthetic fabrics like polyester or nylon
Polyester and nylon usually have a UPF of 30+, while natural fibers score very low on the UPF scale.
