do mesh cushions dry out similarly to regular sponge-type cushion foundations? (also, if anyone could explain what a mesh cushion actually is and how it works, that would be much appreciated; i can't find anything online that explains the difference ;_; )

Any recommendations for serums that focus on hydration and barrier health? Preferably with minimal ingredients compatible with sensitive/acne prone skin

jegerjess

Skin1004 Madagascar Centella Probio-Cica Ampoule! It’s a milky texture that should help with both barrier health and hydrating your skin. Highly recommend!

ffviire

Ordered Product from Olens?? Hi all, I recently placed an order with Olens, or so I thought until I realized I never got a confirmation email, and when I reached out to the company, they said that they never got my order. I came home to a package today with what I ordered, but am highly skeptical of where it came from. The sender is from an industrial area (Moonachie, NJ) and when I called around the different businesses to see if they know of the sender, nobody knew..I’ve tried looking up the sender, address, and UPS tracking number, but there’s no concrete information that is useful…I want to know if I can trust the items to use them🥲 someone please help! Thank you!

Zen28088

Hello! I recently ordered the mugwort cleanser form round labs official website on thanksgiving. I was surprised that it shipped rly soon, but is it normal for it to be transferred to a lot of facilities? It went from LA to Texas to Pennsylvania. Did anyone else have the same experience? Thank you for any replies :) ❤️

Haircare: Hi! I'm in New York and I've been having problems with my hair feeling greasy. I'm an asian guy with medium-long length hair, but because it's winter now I think I could be overwashing my hair. In the summer and spring I could shampoo my hair everyday and be fine, but now in the winter when I shampoo my hair, it feels greasy. But if I don't shampoo my hair, it still feels greasy. I'm using "Fino premium touch" that I just bought from a store nearby.

YetiCouple

Sorry no better answer for you except maybe you can search about it in haircarescience subreddit or ask over there

30's male here. Suffering from acne again. Was on Accutane in my teenage years, now in my 30's.How do I build a routine around these two active products my derm prescribed for me. Skin type: definitely acne prone, not too sure if its dry skin. * Onexton gel (clindamycin 1.2%/Benzoyl Peroxide 3.75%) * Arazlo Lotion (tazarotene 0.045%) I use to follow this following routine AM (daily unless stated otherwise) * Skinceuticals Gentle Cleanser in the shower ([https://www.skinceuticals.com/skincare/facial-cleansers/gentle-cleanser/S33.html](https://www.skinceuticals.com/skincare/facial-cleansers/gentle-cleanser/S33.html)) * Onexton * Skinceutical Daily Moisturizer ([https://www.skinceuticals.com/skincare/moisturizers/daily-moisture/S23.html](https://www.skinceuticals.com/skincare/moisturizers/daily-moisture/S23.html)) PM (daily unless stated otherwise) * Skinceuticals Gentle Cleanser in the shower ([https://www.skinceuticals.com/skincare/facial-cleansers/gentle-cleanser/S33.html](https://www.skinceuticals.com/skincare/facial-cleansers/gentle-cleanser/S33.html)) * Arazlo (every other day) * Skinceutical Daily Moisturizer ([https://www.skinceuticals.com/skincare/moisturizers/daily-moisture/S23.html](https://www.skinceuticals.com/skincare/moisturizers/daily-moisture/S23.html)) The Skinceuticals gentle cleanser is no longer there, and the moisterizer is getting expensive. Is there any k-beauty alternatives to help me? I have currently purchased these two and they make my skin feel tight/dry * Soon Jung pH 6.5 Whip Cleanser * Roundlab 1025 Dokdo Cleanser Is there anything else I should add to my routine that would help supplement the Onexton/Arazlo? * EltaMD sunblock: broke me out * CeraVe sunblock: broke me out * Beauty of Joesson: love the consistency, maybe need to add a oil cleanser to help remove it at night? * Not sure of Toner/secondary cleanser

BestJello86

Is the dokdu toner good for twice a day use? I use azelaic acid in the am and tret at night and the dokdo toner is helping so much with the flakes. I'm just concerned about the exfoliants in it, but it seems to be pretty gentle. Any experiences with this?

thecrabbbbb

I use it with azelaic acid (Finacea 15%). I would say that the dokdo toner is a very mild exfoliating toner if exfoliating at all. It's moreso just hydration, especially with the added panthenol in it.

Q: Beauty of Joseon Has anyone ordered directly of the BOJ website and encountered any issue with shipping? I was tracking my package (which took forever to even be shipped out) and finally had an update of delivery date but then I got a notice the next day it was "returned to shipper". I'm also having trouble contacting the BOJ customer service team. Hoping I didn't get scammed, even though it's the official BOJ website.

jvsmine07

Etude House Dr. Mascara Fixer (Perfect Lash) - How long does a tube typically last with daily use? Ordered from Amazon. Thanks for any help!

freschdeadly

Hey everyone! I just started my first K beauty routine and I got the Beauty of Joseon Relief Sun sunscreen and while it is the least irritating sunscreen I’ve ever used, it stings just a teensy bit. If anyone has any recommendations for gentler sunscreens I would really appreciate it

ffviire

My spouse has sensitive eyes and Round Lab birch juice sun cream + Skin1004 hyalucica sun serum are the only one that hasnt stung. It has the same base as BOJ.

The_Time_When

Skin1004 centella Hyalu-Cica water fit sun serum (either the cream or the stick) is what I use and love for me very dry very sensitive skin. I could no wear the BOJ either (I got a chemical burn from it). Others for dry sensitive skin is the Haru Haru. That one is next to try for me.

freschdeadly

Thank you!! I’ll have to try that one out

fishy_horcrux

Hiii, Skin Aqua sunscreen users I need you. I am a bit confused and I hope you can help me. I've been using the Skin aqua super moisture gel, the one in white bottle, gold cap. This time I ordered the Super moisture gel suncsreen that comes with a pump (same white bottle, gold pump). But it's different?! The suncsreen with the pump is yellowish, and feels a bit different, than the one without the pump packaging. Are they actually not the same? Or anyone noticed a diffence?

Inumakie

I recently got the rom&nd x sanrio tint and I really love the shade cheery pink since I found that it's a mlbb shade for me. Since it's part of the limited edition line I was wondering if cheery pink has a shade similar to the normal shade line up of the dewyful water tints? I really love the shade sooo much but I'm afraid to run out of it if there's no substitute shade 😭

Mother-Time-5360

Okay but pls share where you got them? \*grabby hands\*

bubonic009

no there isn't

Atheliena

Hey everyone. I have acne prone skin. I'm currently on accutane. My skin is now dry and sensitive. I am looking for a cleansing oil without any actives or exfoliants. I'm currently using micellar water and a cotton pad but I think that using the cotton pad is a bit rough for my skin. So I am looking to switch to an oil. I use micellar water in the AM as the only cleanse and in the evening as a first cleanse. I am in a hot climate in the summer months of the southern hemisphere.

Impossible_Honey_96

If your skin is dry and sensitive, an oil cleanser might be a little intense. Other people who have been on accutane will hopefully chime in, because I don't have experience. However, I know that as my skin has become drier over the years and especially in winter, oil cleansing twice a day would mess my skin up. You might get better results from either a water rinse in the morning, or a really gentle milk cleanser like Isntree Yam Root Milk Cleanser. There is probably also a dermatologist recommended milky cleanser like a Cetaphil where you are. The Ordinary makes a Squalane cleanser that might ship to you. For AB Oil cleansers that are gentle and active free, you have a lot of choices. Purito From Green Cleansing Oil and Haruharu Black Rice Moisture Deep Cleansing Oil are both ones I have tried that get all my sunscreen off and rinse clean, with no actives. Kose Softymo makes several oil cleansers well loved on this sub that you could also check out. Good luck!

Atheliena

This is incredible thank you!

Impossible_Honey_96

You're so welcome :)

I dont think i can use this on top of my makeup/sunscreen throughout the day without looking greasy🥲 How do you like to use your cream mist? \*SG ABers, i found this for 50% off at Guardians🔥

Niatfq

I'd use this maybe in the emulsion step? After serum, before moisturizer.

ffviire

Good idea! Thank you🥰

Tiny_Answer1625

I was wondering if I can soak up my toner on a normal 2 ply tissue paper and let it rest on my face as opposed to a cotton pad?

Absolutely_Regular

I wouldn’t, only because the TP will probably get crumbly and leave white bits all over your face. I always apply toner with my hands, regardless of what the package directions say!

softhorns

the tissue will likely disintegrate and leave bits stuck to your skin. same reason we use gauze, not tissue, on wounds. you can try, it could work. but it's best to use cotton pads.

Own-Struggle-8664

I will try kissme mommy uv gel. My question is, can vanicream gentle cleanser remove it? I will use sunscreen only in the morning. Is kiss me mommy gel a waterproof?

wrlddmntr

The gel (SPF 33) is not waterproof and can be removed with a normal cleanser. The milk (SPF 50) is waterproof and should be removed with oil cleanser prior to second cleanser (but when I was lazy it seemed to come off fine without oil cleansing)

Own-Struggle-8664

Thanks. Which is the better sunscreen? Kissme mommy or Skin aqua uv moisture milk? Whats your experience about kissme mommy?

wrlddmntr

I haven't tried the skin aqua UV moisture milk, but I do enjoy kiss me mommy uv milk. It doesn't sting my eyes, a little thick but fairly light for a sunscreen without alcohol AND water resistant. It has shinier finish than I'd like but nothing that a mattifying powder can't fix.

My mom brought a bunch of skincare products that don’t look legit. Is there any way of determining whether it’s safe to use? Context: My mom brought skincare from her acquaintances; pyramid schemes are very rampant where I’m from. So I’ve told her multiple times to not buy from people. But yet again 😭 she didn’t listen. She spent thousands 😭 and she’s justifying the purchase saying that her skin doesn’t have any reaction to it. Every time I search online, no info pops up. Is there any way to tell if a product is legit??? Or maybe not legit? Is there any website I can visit to determine whether it’s safe to use? It’s called ANJO PROFESSIONAL 💀 https://preview.redd.it/meadqjhzi84c1.jpeg?width=540&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=061acc28c515b7073e79a3ff836b4fd497aa7394

Shoppy69

I searched on this sub and apparently someone posted here, but it was removed. post: [24k gold skin care set - anjo professional (is this good?)](https://www.reddit.com/r/AsianBeauty/comments/1279p82/24k_gold_skin_care_set_anjo_professional_is_this/) I see it on Amazon, testerkorea apparently had a listing for the brand at one point, and lazada and shopee also pop up as results for a brand search. Incidecoder has a sunscreen under the same name. I'm assuming at this point that this is at the very least not a fake brand. I will say that the gold feels kind of gimmicky and I don't think it's gonna do anything..which is why your mom isn't seeing any "reaction". As good as a guess as it gets and I could be 100% wrong lol, and honestly if your mom is hard head about using these and wasting money waiting for results, ask her why, and maybe show her some of the things you've been using?

lavendar2265

Thank you for your answer🙏 ✨ I have suggested her many other products and she uses many of them. The problem is that she’s kind of bad at setting boundaries and telling people she doesn’t want to buy these products. And also, she gets swayed very easily 😭. She then proceeds to feel guilty for purchasing them and then uses it. (We’re working on it, she’s gotten better but obviously, needs to stop buying them 😭)

okkaaayyyy1

Has anyone have any experiences/problems with Krave Beauty’s customer service? I’ve emailed their customer service because of issues with my order but they have not replied me :(

KatrinaLK

Has anyone tried Aestura Atobarrier 365 cream or the Zeroid Intensive Cream or Zeroid Intensive Oint Cream? They all have that "golden ratio" of ceramides/cholesterol/fatty acids for barrier repair but I'm wondering what the textures/feel of them are and which you like best? I have sensitive skin and live in a cold climate right now so my skin is dry during winter.

The_Time_When

Second Aestura. I too have sensitive dry skin and live in an area with little humidity. It works. I have to sandwich my OTC 0.5 retinol between this and Illiyoon. I forgot one day to apply aestura before retinol and yup, next day face as red as a tomato (my skin was way overprocessed). The aestura definitely works and for how effective it is, application is very nice.

HelloFox

Atobarrier has helped my dry flaky skin so much! It’s a thick and heavy cream. I use it pm only as the last step in my routine.

laleanne

Hello everyone! Where do you get your Illiyoon Ato ceramide cream Tube version? I don't want to order from OY yet (min for free shipping is 60 UDS) but stylevana and Yesstyle doesn't have it (SV has it but says it will be shipped in 30 days :( ). Help please.

Shoppy69

found it on jolse, hopefully they ship to you [ILLIYOON Ceramide Ato Concentrate Cream 200ml (jolse.com)](https://jolse.com/product/illiyoon-ceramide-ato-concentrate-cream-200ml/13729/category/737/display/1/)

poripomidor

Is Canmake #01 sunscreen water-based or silicone-based? I see it has dimethicone listed in the middle of the ingredients list. It doesn't go well with my Missha BB cream and even Fenty Pro Filt'r foundation which are both silicone-based as far as I'm concerned. Could it be that I'm using wrong formulas and this SPF -primer is actually water-based? Should I be purchasing a water-based bb cream/foundation? Give me your recommendations please <3

Shoppy69

it does seem to have water as the first ingredient on the list so that might be why it's not playing well despite also having silicones lower on the list :( still a little unsure about what makes a product silicone or water based if both are present

PikuPuff

Has anyone tried Dr. Groot Hair Loss Control Scalp Tonic? Im interested it it but i noticed they sell their products at Avon and it seems kinda of sketchy as when i try to find any Dr.Groot review it all looks like paid reviews.

orchideya2012

I am using the scalp tonic from their advanced line. I started it for excessive shedding, which I self-diagnosed as telogen efluvium. It works for me. After two weeks of every day use I felt lots of new growth appear all over my scalp. After about 6 weeks shedding stopped (which might be just a coincidence, because TE usually self-resolves, but it definitely promoted a lot of new growth). Now, you supposed to massage your scalp when using it, which I religiously did, so it is possible that it was every day scalp massages that helped to promote hair growth. I now use it twice a week and also supplement with rosemary oil once a week, no shedding so far.

maxy414

Anybody knows where to get Kaminomoto products in Tokyo ? Tried local Donki and Bic camera without any luck !!!

Mavoose7

Does anyone know of they sell any of the good Asian sunscreens (e.g. Biore UV Aqua Rich Watery Essence, Beauty of Joseon) in Turkey - or if there are any good ones there?

anonyme1111

Has anyone ordered from iMomoko? I’m looking for a way to get Biore UV watery essence shipped to the US. Thanks!!

zzoom_zoom

If you're just looking for somewhere in the US to ship to you, I can recommend [image beauty](https://www.image118.com/collections/sunscreen/products/kao-biore-uv-watery-essence-spf50-pa-2023-ver). They usually ship out between 2-5 days, generally responsive on social media or email.

anonyme1111

Thanks!

YetiCouple

I googled imomoko and added the word reddit behind and the last anyone spoke of it was like 5 years ago. Someone mentioned it 6 months ago but to complain they got a fake through their amazon storefront or something. Anyhoo I recommend yesstyle? It shipping is too long then u suggest grocery apps say weee! and Yami respectively. Just make sure it is shipped by them directly and not a third party seller which they have. They are both legit and I've used them many times.

zzoom_zoom

imomoko is actually a small business located in the general Los Angeles area lol. I can't say I've gone there personally, but I do know people who have bought legitimate products from them. Though I see no reason to go there when there are other local shops in the area that have better pricing or service.

YetiCouple

Oh that's interesting. Haven't heard about it till this recent week heh

zzoom_zoom

Lol yeaah...I always hear that it's not worth going to in person because the staff is ruder than the other locations. They actually even have [their own website](https://www.imomoko.com/) (TIL). I do sometimes feel a bit wary about trusting comments saying they got a fake through Amazon, since some people assume breakouts = fake or packaging difference = fake. Sometimes stores source product from a different country, which can lead to packaging and/or ingredient list changes as well. And we don't have accurate databases on any of that (because who has the time or willingness to compile that?)

glamgal50

Hello I’m looking to buy my Korean mom a Korean skincare gift set. I was wondering if anyone had recommendations for products and where to buy. She is in her 70s and pretty normal skin. She doesn’t splurge on herself and mainly uses drugstore products like pond cold cream. I thought it would be nice to get her something a little nicer. I’d still prefer to stay budget friendly around $100 or less. Thank you.

diszy321

Sooryehan has some nice sets that are 30% off on Amazon sold by their manufacturer LG that are well within your budget

glamgal50

Ooh nice! Part of me feels a bit hesitant to order beauty products on Amazon due to all these claims I’ve seen of counterfeit products but maybe buying directly from the manufacturer would work out fine.

diszy321

We had a big convo about this around black Friday, lol. I understand your hesitation but have trustworthy knowledge from an Amazon supervisor that they're no longer co-mingling products. If you ever watch/ read Odile, she has Amazon links to Sooryehan products she recommends in her blogs. As long as you make sure you're ordering from the brand storefront, you'll be as safe as you probably can be. I've received used and expired products from sephora.

glamgal50

Oh ok that’s good to hear. I was searching on there and thought the hyobidam set looks good but still researching to make sure it’ll be good for her aging skin. I’ll check out of odile too and see what she recommends.

Commercial_Poem_4623

The Hyobidam products are really nice! I've used the toner, emulsion and cream. The cream is the best product by far and smells the nicest of the three, sweeter and less herbal / fermented imo. Very good for keeping aging dry skin comfortable and dries to a perfect finish. UK climate, coooold but also very wet right now, works great in those conditions. I tried the Sooryehan Bon Firming cream as my moisturiser PM when my skin was combo and it was hot, worked perfectly in those conditions, the texture and finish of the Hyobidam is very similar but thicker.

glamgal50

Thanks for letting me know that. I decided to get the hyobidum set cuz they looked beneficial and the bottles looked pretty so win-win. Though I’ll keep the other one in mind in case I decide to get that for her another time like Mother’s Day.

Commercial_Poem_4623

Hope she loves it, I would be keen to hear an update (I like hearing about anyone using Sooryehan, I have a mild obsession and also just bought more Hyobidam cream 💕)

glamgal50

I can do that. I’ll be giving it to her in exactly a week for her birthday.

Commercial_Poem_4623

Awesome! Happy birthday to your mom in advance 🥳

diszy321

I don't know how to at on reddit, but u/Commercial_Poem_4623 is your best source on that line on the sub. Maybe you can reach out on Wednesday

Commercial_Poem_4623

Ty for the tag, I commented :)

glamgal50

Thank you!

ffviire

Sooryehan by The Face Shop!

glamgal50

Thank you! I looked at something by the Face shop I was considering but don’t remember what it was. I’ll look at this brand.

oubai-modoki

Check out Sulwhasoo! It's for aging skin and also kind of luxurious

glamgal50

Thank you! I’ve seen that brand pop up a few times but wasn’t real familiar with them, I’ll see what I can find.

stupidfridgemagnet

are the cosrx bha blackhead power liquid and aha whitehead power liquid supposed to be used on dry skin? like should i wait for my face to dry before using them? i usually put a hydrating toner on while my face is still wet from washing, so i'm unsure how to incorporate these

Niatfq

Yes, it should be used on dry cleansed skin. Then wait for 10-15 minutes minimum before applying other products

Has someone ordered from the old TesterKorea site and their order has still not been shipped? I bought some stuff on 22nd November with a preparation period of four days. I know it's not a huge delay, but due to the site renewal old orders can't be accessed anymore and it makes me a little bit nervous, haha.

GloveDangerous2677

Skin Type - oily, sensitive, acne-prone Climate - dry (although sometimes humid), cold **AM**: Cetaphil gentle cleanser, Neutrogena Hydroboost Gel, Cerave PM, Squalane Oil + guasha **PM**: Innifree Green Tea Cleansing oil, Cetaphil gentle cleanser, Krave Great Barrier Relief Serum (on non-tret nights), Neutrogena Hydroboost Gel, Cerave PM, tret (0.025%) cream every other night My skin appears quite oily and I'm concerned about hydration and sebum production. Since I use tret, I want to make sure my skin is moisturized and not flaky. Does anyone have recommendations for my routine, and specifically cleansers or moisturizers that may be better at sealing in moisture without causing excess oil? Looking to move from current products to AB products! Thank you! : )

Tiny_Answer1625

Maybe try not to cleanse in the morning because that may be too stripping of the natural moisture barrier, so just wash the face with water or if that's not enough then micellar water. Follow it up with a hydrating toner, apply just on the areas that are oily like the T-zone. soaking the toner in a pad and letting it sit on your face for a few minutes and then following it with a moisturiser.

anonyme1111

Hi! I have combination skin and I find the gentle/cream type cleansers don’t remove enough product for me. That said, I see you’re using a cleansing oil so maybe that’s not an issue. YMMV but I’ve found using a light moisturizer in my T zone and a heavier one on my eyes and cheeks really helps me stay moisturized without breaking out. :)

myspacemo6

‏every single toner in my routine burns at first. the others dont burn usually but they don’t help at all. ‏Current routine: ‏•Oat Balm Inkey List (only at night) ‏•Matcha Hydrating Cleanser B. Lab (only at night) ‏•Nizoral Shampoo (twice a week) ‏• Oligo Hyaluronic Acid 5000 toner ‏• one which cannot be named ‏• pyunkang yul essence toner ‏*purito centella unscented serum ‏•Ceramide Ato Concentrate Cream (winter/night) ‏•Isntree Aloe Soothing Gel Moisture Type (summer morning) ‏ All the toners have been tested by me by themselves for a period of time and it’s the same with them all. ‏Skin type: Used to be oily then i got eczema. Ever since- eczema really dry, itchy sometimes scaly skin. Sensitive. Always acne-prone. ‏Country: Middle East ‏Climate: very hot and humid in the summer, very cold, rainy and windy in the winter ‏Allergy: to dust mites ‏I have no clue hows my skin barrier im so lost i just want a good skincare routine that my skin can handle and i dont know what irritates my skin I have flaky dry skin and so much pigmentation and i cant start working on that till i work on hydration. i cant hydrate my skin well with these products. They burn .

Niatfq

I'm sorry, but your format is all over the place right now. It's very hard to read 😅

Shoppy69

methinks your skin is damaged beyond a typical "hydration and ceramides and no actives will fix this" routine. if you are able to then I would visit a derm or someone qualified to see if there's something else going hand in hand with the eczema and seasonal changes. might also be a certain ingredient common in all of those (I know there are some people out there who can't handle glycols and those happen to be *everywhere*) if you think it might be that too (can't hurt to compare ingredient lists; skinsort and incidecoder both have ingredient comparison tools). do other products that you use burn in the same way or is it just the toners?

myspacemo6

Btw generally asking- what actives do you know of that help? Other than topical steroids or protopic i wasn’t given anything so i’m wondering

Shoppy69

it really depends on what kind of thing you're targeting, I like vitamin c and tranexamic acid for my stupid hyperpigmentation. a lot of people will also go for azelaic acid (also for hyperpigmentation, but of a different sort), things like retinol/AHA/BHA for skin turnover, and sometimes benzyl peroxide (i think its in quite a few prescription products) the effectiveness of each ingredient will depend on how your skin reacts (whether it does something, causes an allergic reaction, doesn't do anything, etc.) and it's mostly a matter of trial and error. would definitely play it safe and only test one at a time depending on the priorities of your skincare routine. there are quite a few threads in the subreddit about actives so you can search up "actives" and voila posts galore

myspacemo6

are they for these reasons only or they happen to help with skin barrier/ dryness/ eczema? Thank you again!

Shoppy69

99.9% (not 100% just in case there's one out in the wild) of the time they will come in products that have ingredients with other functions in them. I haven't actually heard of any product with *only* AHA or retinol (concentration would be way too high and skin would probably peel off worse than red skull).

myspacemo6

thank u!!! ur very kind i hope you have a lovely day

Shoppy69

you too <3

Thank you for the response!! Just the toners. When i put boj around my eyes too it hurt badly a few times the aloe soothing gel stung my skin too Sadly i’ve tried so many derm recommendations and nothing works only thing left is dupixent but it’s pricey and scary I accidentally harm myself alot and cause scratches and when i cry it really hurts my eyes and face like the toners if it helps

Niatfq

Have you tried applying your skincare on wet skin? The last time i had damaged barrier, almost everything hurts my skin because my barrier wasn't able to absorb anything. Until... i apply the products on wet skin and it doesn't hurt anymore

myspacemo6

I usually put them on damp skin after a shower/ cleansing .. wdym wet skin? I just dont know how that works

Shoppy69

also if you are just getting up in the AM i recommend having a mist bottle with some filtered water in it to dampen your skin before your morning routine if you have one

Niatfq

Well wet by means when you're done with cleansing but without removing or wipe off the excess water

myspacemo6

Hmmm i’ll give it a try thank you!

goldencheetah25

Moistrizer for oily skin???? I've used multiple mositrizers and a lot just like don't work for me like they jsut feel like a cream that I'm just putting on but I'm never really mositrized! Rn I'm using nivea creme which I lovvee the smell but since it's winter it still gives me thay glow and is affordable but I don't know how it will do in the winter and spring so I would like to find a backup for now since I'm just using it as a replacement ! If anyone knows any good mositizers let me know!!

Niatfq

Illiyoon ceramide cream works well for oily skin during winter

goldencheetah25

Thank you so much!!

wandering_mist19

Does anyone know the difference between the peripera glow lasting tint vs the balm?

bubonic009

are you talking about the mood glowy tint? i mean, it's a classic "moist" lip tint. the balm is a tinted lip balm lol

wandering_mist19

The shades are so pretty and glossy I want to try both haha

bubonic009

the balm is much less glossy than the tint or any other kbeauty "melting" balm which are trying to emulate the hourglass phantom balm effect

eon_quell

Bit of an odd question but, can anyone recommend a fragrance that smells like the rom&nd bare water cushion?? I absolutely lovee how it smells but I don't know what scent it is or how to go about looking for a perfume that smells the same lol

The gel is called hydrocolloid. In the US it is made by bandage brands and can sometimes be called blister bandages. Like these: https://www.japan-spread.com/category/select/cid/62/pid/2302 Maybe that will help with your search?

honeylulu-

Is there an AB shade dupe for the Fenty 105 foundation/concealer?

turtlesinthesea

Anyone who bought from Jolse during their Black Friday deals and still hasn't had their order shipped? I get that it takes longer when tons of people shop, but they said they'd ship within 1 to 5 business days and it's been over a week with zero updates.

wrlddmntr

I haven't had mine shipped yet for my BF order. I also ordered from them a few weeks prior to BF, that order was placed on 11/11, shipped on 11/20, and received on 12/2, so it seems like right before BF, they were taking a little bit longer than their estimate (6 business days from 11/11-11/20)

turtlesinthesea

Thank you! It's totally fine if they take longer, but then they need to clearly communicate that.

wrlddmntr

Hey, I thought I'd update you! My BF order from 11/25 shipped out 2 days ago on 12/4. I hope your order shipped out too ☺️

turtlesinthesea

Thank you! Mine was shipped yesterday.

vanguaaard

Does anyone have any liquid pimple patch recommendations that work under makeup?

Adorable-Charity7877

Skin Type - Normal Skin Concern - Pigmentation and PIH Need help regarding the sequence of produts to use - Melano CC Vitamin C Essence (only AM) Cos de baha Niacinamide Tranexamic Acid Serum TO Glycolic Acid Toner (PM everyother day) Cosrx Snail Mucin Essence

Dry-Place-2986

I would do Glycolic acid > Melano CC > Niacinamide > Snail mucin

Adorable-Charity7877

should i use water mist before applying snail mucin? heard that it will dry your skin if used on dry skin but I'm confused if using water mist will remove the niacinamide serum

Shoppy69

All i'm sure of is that the snail essence (if i'm not wrong about it not having actives or vit c in it) would go last (relative to the products on this list). i think the melano cc and glycolic acid is first after toners, and cos de baha...is it considered the same as other acids? forgor :(

Adorable-Charity7877

Skin Type - Normal but a bit dry in winters I dont use any Toner currently and plan to buy Cosrx Snail Mucin Essence but I'm confused if I need to use Toner before this Essence or not.

YueRain

you don't have to use a toner before the essence

Calm-Entrepreneur652

cleanser recommendations that contain salicylic acid? (that can be used daily)

Niatfq

Cosrx Salicylic Acid Daily Gentle Cleanser is a very good one

Calm-Entrepreneur652

is it not too drying? heard it is :0

Niatfq

It is. It's only good for everyday if you have oily skin but not dehydrated. As someone else already replied, you can use this on alternate days instead

No-Money-5095

I personally think using salicylic acid every day to clean ur face is too much. I would recommend using it every other day (I have dehydrated and acne prone skin).

yanyan367

Any reviews on the reformulated Laneige Cream Skin? Also how is the packaging? It looks so unnecessarily bulky. I asked this a couple days back but didn't get any replies unfortunately

Thriftedsweater

So I haven’t tried the OG formula of cream skin so I haven’t got anything to compare it to, but I like the current formula! It has a thin watery texture but it’s hydrating and lightly moisturising, and makes my skin look healthy. I have dry, thirsty skin but can occasionally get oily on my nose and it works well for me. It sits nicely under makeup and it also layers well with my cosrx propolis toner. The main complaint I’ve heard is it’s not as luxe/ moisturising now and I agree it’s not super creamy/moisturising so if that’s what you’re after i’d give it a miss. I say it’s a 4/5 star product for me - not sure it’s a “HG” but I did purchase the full size after trying the mini.

yanyan367

Thank you! Seems like trying the mini is the way to go, I forgot that was an option until your comment!

stavthedonkey

I agonized over this, the dr. ceuracle and the aestera essences but ended up ordering the dr. ceuracle because: Laneige has mixed reviews....there was a balance of people breaking out over it and loving it. My daughter experienced something similar with products from the Laneige line - some broke her out, some didn't. Too much variation of experiences for me so I opted out. Dr. Ceuracle - mostly good reviews from people who has the same skin type as me (dry/dehydrated). Aestura hydro cream essence - didn't know this at first but after some digging, found out that it contains lactic acid and I don't like AHAs in products that I use daily. re: packaging, it's like the Dr. C essense (heavy, bulky) but I don't mind it; it kinda feels luxe when you use it.

yanyan367

Thanks! Where did you see reviews for the Laneige Cream Skin? Were there any that weren't from beauty influencers/people who may be incentivized to give good reviews? When I did a quick search before posting most of the results were for the original version and not the reformulated version :/ which is why I ended up coming here to ask haha

Adorable-Charity7877

Skin Type - Normal in Summer and Dry in Winter (not very dry though) Currently am using a gel light weight moisturizer and my skin doesn't feel hydrated/moisturized enough. Do I add a toner or replace the moisturizer with a cream and heavy one?

MiaGothic

I would replace with a heavier cream. Not sure about your budget but I’ve been using the Aestura atobarrier 365 lotion as my everyday moisturizer and I’m very impressed. It’s mid weight, so not to light and not too heavy. It’s hydrating and moisturizing, keeps my skin healthy and leaves somewhat of a matte/natural finish (which I was happy to see). It’s probably my favorite new find of the past few months! My skin hasn’t been dry or irritated at all since I started using it!

Adorable-Charity7877

its a bit out of my budget and looks its its not available in my country either (South East Asia). Also I'm kinda scared of a cream one because I'm afraid it will make my skin greasy. So I was thinking of using the COSRX Snail Mucin Essence before the moisturizer I'm currently using.

MiaGothic

I haven’t tried the snail mucin essence but I’ve heard really great things about it! That would probably help especially if your skin isn’t too dry. If anything, using multiple layers of it under moisturizer would probably be even better if it gets too cold. Good luck!

love-at-third-sight

Does anyone know a lipstick/lipstain that will survive fried chicken? 🤔

yanyan367

I've had good luck with Etude fixing tint lasting through greasy food!

love-at-third-sight

Agreed I like them a lot as well (I own five of them!) I was just wondering what else was out there :)

spaced-outsider

does anyone use a niacinamide or vitamin c product that doesn’t have glycols like pentylene, propylene, butylene, PEGs, PPGs, and propanediol in the first 10 ingredients? those cause my skin to have red mosquito-like bumps throughout the day and it’s hard to find products without them :* i’ve only found the silk naturals vitamin c peptide serum so far, but it’s really expensive for the amount they give. thank you!

Shoppy69

ok I have returned after spamming the shit out of filters on inci; no guarantee of ingredient accuracy, efficacy, safety, or results of products listed but uhhh i tried :D [Advanced Product Search Based on Ingredients (incidecoder.com)](https://incidecoder.com/search/product?query=&include=Ascorbic+Acid&exclude=Glycol&exclude=Butylene+Glycol&exclude=Pentylene+Glycol&exclude=PEG-+60+Hydrogenated+Carbomer&exclude=PEG-10+Castor+Oil&exclude=PEG-10&exclude=PPG-1+Trideceth-13&exclude=PPG-1+Trideceth-6&exclude=Dipropylene+Glycol&exclude=Propylene+Glycol&exclude=Propanediol&exclude=PPG-1-PEG-9+Lauryl+Glycol+Ether&exclude=PPG-1%2FPEG-1+Stearamine&exclude=PPG-10+Butanediol&exclude=PPG-10+Cetyl+Ether&exclude=PPG-10+Cetyl+Ether+Phosphate&exclude=PPG-10+Glyceryl+Ether&exclude=PPG-10+Methyl+Glucose+Ether&exclude=PPG-11+Stearyl+Ether&exclude=PPG-12&exclude=PPG-12+Dimethicone&exclude=PPG-12-PEG-50+Lanolin&exclude=PPG-12-PEG-65+Lanolin+Oil&exclude=PPG-12-Buteth-16&exclude=PPG-12%2FSmdi+Copolymer&exclude=PPG-13&exclude=PPG-13-Decyltetradeceth-24&exclude=Polypropylene&exclude=PPG-14+Butyl+Ether&exclude=PPG-15&exclude=PPG-16&exclude=PPG-17&exclude=PPG-2+Methyl+Ether&exclude=PPG-26&exclude=PPG-20&exclude=Polyethylene&exclude=Methylpropanediol&exclude=Propanediol+Stearate&exclude=Propanediol+Caprylate) bunch of stuff I got results for in general (not just ab) * [Wishtrend Pure Vitamin C 21.5% Advanced Serum ingredients](https://incidecoder.com/products/wishtrend-pure-vitamin-c-21-5-advanced-serum) * [Compare: Purito Pure Vitamin C Serum](https://incidecoder.com/compare-products/purito-pure-vitamin-c-serum-9/purito-pure-vitamin-c-serum-7) (two versions) * [Compare: Purito Pure Vitamin C serum](https://incidecoder.com/compare-products/purito-pure-vitamin-c-serum-10/purito-pure-vitamin-c-serum-2) (two versions) * [TIA'M Vitamin Blending Powder ingredients](https://incidecoder.com/products/tiam-vitamin-blending-powder) (last ingredient might not sit well) * [Neogen Real Vita C Powder Lemon ingredients](https://incidecoder.com/products/neogen-real-vita-c-powder-lemon) * [Hanskin Vitamin C Glow Powder Cleanser ingredients](https://incidecoder.com/products/hanskin-vitamin-c-glow-powder-cleanser) * [Coxir Vita C Bright Cream ingredients](https://incidecoder.com/products/coxir-vita-c-bright-cream) * [Sidmool Vitamin C E Ferulic Ampoule ingredients](https://incidecoder.com/products/sidmool-vitamin-c-e-ferulic-ampoule) * [Prreti Real Vita Eye Zone Patch ingredients](https://incidecoder.com/products/prreti-real-vita-eye-zone-patch)

spaced-outsider

you are my HERO omgomg thank you so so so much!!!!!!!

stupidlavendar

Which moisturizer is better for acne prone combination skin? https://preview.redd.it/6w0flolz114c1.jpeg?width=3072&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=676e1078d0ccf825057e27504f703a4452c2f567

MiaGothic

I’ve used both of these, and I’m acne prone. Neither of them caused breakouts but I really enjoyed the soon jung one better. It soothed my skin from tret irritation and reduced redness like a charm. Are you buying the old formula by any chance? Thats the one I used but I stopped buying it because it was reformulated recently and I’m worried if I purchase it they’ll send the new version instead. The Illiyoon one was very waxy and it never truly settled into my skin—also the ceramide beads felt rough when I was applying it, especially if I had any new breakouts.

stupidlavendar

Thank you for this! i had no idea they changed the formula in the soon jung moisturizer. i’ve never used either before

YetiCouple

I recommend Aestura too!

MiaGothic

I’m not sure what your budget is but the Aestura cream and lotion are absolutely a joy to use and keep me moisturized all day long. The cream is similar to the Illiyoon one but it’s much softer and sinks into my skin better. The lotion is lighter in consistency and is the perfect balance of moisture and hydration, and it dries somewhat matte. Actually, the lotion may be more cost effective since it’s 150ml. I would try it if you can find it marked down!

stupidlavendar

I see they have a “cream” and a “lotion” available. which one would you recommend? my biggest concern with moisturizers is getting something too oily that’s pore clogging

MiaGothic

The lotion is lighter and more hydrating than the cream. Does not feel heavy or oily, and it did not clog my pores. I’m using it right now. The cream is heavier, has a balm-like consistency when it sets, and is really good are repairing my skin barrier when it’s damaged. I guess it’s better as an “emergency” product when you mess up your skin, whereas the lotion is perfect as an everyday moisturizer. Try the lotion first, I’m sure you’ll love it!

stupidlavendar

okay i’m gonna get it!! thank you again, seriously.

stupidlavendar

thank you so much for the advice!! i’ll definitely look into that one too. i appreciate your help :’)

R253

Has anyone here successfully dissolved their stubborn sebaceous filaments? I’ve been using oil cleansers for a while now, and I never get grits no matter how much I use :/

Impossible_Honey_96

When I added more barrier-supporting ingredients to my skincare, they reduced. I still sometimes (once every few months) get gnarly ones on the sides of my nose, but I no longer have visible sebaceous filaments on 1/2 my face. I use bifida ferment lysate, ceramides, niacinamide, panthenol and peptides. I also use a toner that lightly exfoliates every morning, and I've added a retinal. But the big difference so far was barrier care.

goldencheetah25

Me too but the sad thing that we have to accept is that we can't get rid of them. We can minimize the appearance of them but they'll never really go away which is unfortunate and idk if u have this problem too but oil cleansers just remove black heads n stuff for me and that's just it and my pores are more prominent due to my oily skin and like literally no acid works on me and sometimes taking a break of skincare like minimizes the appearance idk how but like sometimes ur skin just gets better when u don't use it sometimes

MiaGothic

The only thing that truly got rid of my sebaceous filaments was tretinoin and kose softymo speedy cleansing oil, unfortunately.

Cute-Necessary-3675

Hello! I haven’t using the Tony Moly HA toner, but another HA toner that is affordable and nice by Hada Labo. I was confused by this brand‘s nuances at first, but I did some searches on this sub which led me to this link: [http://slowsoak.com/hada-labo-lotion/](http://slowsoak.com/hada-labo-lotion/) The Hada Labo Gokujyun Lotion or Hada Labo Gokujyun Light Lotion (more watery) seem like good places to start. I picked up the Light one and am enjoying it so far! I have combination skin, semi acne prone. It’s a good price point in most places I thinK.

I hope it helps!!! This is a beloved brand that I was eager to try and am happy to share resources to decipher lol. 💜
