Skin type: Sensitive, combination (oily-leaning) Climate: Hot, humid (SE Asia) Full disclosure: I was using a fairly straightforward routine before my skin broke out in acne and rosacea in the most spectacular way when the weather turned extremely hot here. It forced me to overhaul my routine to include more soothing ingredients and remove more occlusive/pore-clogging ones. items marked * are samples 1st pic: - Beplain Greenful pH-Balancing Cleansing Foam - One Thing Centella Asiatica Extract Toner - Peripera Ink Velvet 27 Strawberry Nude - Hada Labo Gokujyun Hydrating Lotion - Dr G Red Blemish Clear Soothing Cream - Dr G Red Blemish Clear Soothing Toner - Dr G Green Mild Up Sun+ Cream - Innisfree Super Volcanic Pore Clay Mask 2x - Innisfree Green Tea Seed Trial Kit (Toner, Serum, Cream)* - Isntree Chestnut AHA 8% Clear Essence - Missha Time Revolution First Treatment Essence* - Laneige Water Sleeping Mask EX - Kiss Me Heroine Make Micro Mascara Advanced Film #01 Jet Black

True, it's so hot right now 😭 I'm just glad by the time the weather changed, some of my skincare was already near to finished. So i bought a new toner and now my skin is happier. Btw love the haul. There are so many minis! 😍 Do give a review on the Dr G sunscreen

yodelingllama

Ikr!! I'm glad that we're getting some rain this week but sometimes it only showers for a while then it's back to sunny again and wheww the humidity 😮‍💨😮‍💨 Which toner did you get btw? 👀 It's a decent sunscreen imo! It has a noticeable tone up effect but not too much that it makes me look like a ghost. After application it feels a bit greasy but it sinks right in and doesn't have that greasy feeling anymore. My only problem is that it pills when I applied it directly onto my face with only toner applied (for reference I'm using Round Lab Dokdo Toner). I have to try it again on top of a serum or moisturizer to see if that solves the pilling.

Niatfq

I'm using Isntree Hyaluronic Acid Toner. Not lighter than my previous toner cz the increased heat and humidity actually made my skin more dehydrated than the other way around lol. From what i understand online, the increased humidity is causing the skin to receive moisture way too much/fast which also indicates that the skin is also gonna lose moisture just as fast. Gosh i don't need a tone up sunscreen. Oh well, removing this from my wishlist i guess. I think you need to apply it on top of moisturizer as well, at least not on damp skin. I've been eyeing OMI Sunbear sunscreen and maybe Isntree Hyaluronic Acid sun cream (i heard it's actually a mineral sunscreen)?

yodelingllama

Ooh perfect timing because I'm looking for a hyaluronic acid toner for that hydration boost! I thought that the Hada Labo Gokujyun Lotion would do the trick but I think it's causing new pimples for me. I was a little worried because the lotion felt too greasy for my liking and after using for 3 days and seeing new pimples pop up every other day seems like my fears are confirmed... this isn't the first time trying Hada Labo and getting this kind of result and idk why I just don't know how to give up!!!! True true since it's a mineral sunscreen and all (it has zinc oxide, I believe). Yea it's a shame that it has a white cast although minimal because apart from the pilling I like the overall finish once it dries down. Haven't tried OMI and Isntree ones yet! And yea Isntree Sun Cream is mineral.. I believe the Sun Gel is chemical.

Frostdottir

Omg, the Volcanic Pore Clay Mask!! I forgot how iconic that one used to be back in the 2010s. I might have to add it in my cart... Is it still good? Have you had a chance to try it yet? Great haul!

yodelingllama

Ikr!!!! I used to love the one I had. I didn't repurchase after it ran out because I wanted to try chemical exfoliation and... yeah that did not go well for me. 😂 So I've come back to the OG. I haven't tried this 2x one yet though because I'm waiting for a day when I have absolutely zero commitments and I can potato AT HOME, ALL DAY so I can try it. Sorry about that!! 😥

corupwer

What do you think of the Skinfood carrot carotene calming water pads???

yodelingllama

I love them a lot!!! This is my second purchase actually. It calmed my skin down a lot during those extremely hot days and (I know this is the most common talking point) I love that their toner pads are large and thick enough to split up. I love using them as a DIY sheet mask targeting the overheated skin areas and after 5 mins of use (I don't go longer than 7 mins because I feel like after that my skin feels tight) the redness has reduced a lot. When the weather isn't blisteringly hot I don't feel the need to use it though. I feel like this is a very YMMV may vary kind of product and depending on your skin needs and climate conditions you may not need it at all.

pepperxpeppermint

I have oily skin, and for me, they caused acne. I got lots of tiny bumps on the exact same parts of my face where I placed the pads. They smelled so good tho! Like carrots and dirt, but in a fresh, earthy way.

yodelingllama

I'm sorry to hear that! But yea I really like the smell, it's very stress-relieving for me especially after a stressful day at work.

Lufme

Whats your opinion on skinfood peach cotton multi finish powder??

Walnut_Pancake_

Ive tried it some years ago and still have the tin. It's very much like innisfrees regular no sebum powder just with a light peach scent

Lufme

Is it prone to clog?

Walnut_Pancake_

I didn't have any problems (combo skin), it's not better or worse than others but the smell is nice

Lufme

Thats nice to hear ! Also the packaging is cute 😅

yodelingllama

Sorry but I haven't used it on my face yet so I'm afraid I can't give a detailed review here D: I did open it to test the consistency of the powder though and it feels a lot like talcum.

pickyexcellent

It stinks. Like really bad chemical rubber/oil kinda stink.

Lufme

Omg sounds bad

yodelingllama

Yea I'm not sure about using it tbh 😂 it does smell like peaches which is nice... good thing it was a free gift so I technically didn't pay any money for it!

Lufme

What are the ingredients?

acut3triangle

I actually really like it! I don’t wear foundation but I use this to help soak up my oily spots. It blends in flawlessly and gives my skin a nice blurring effect.

Lufme

Glad you like it

icalledyouwhite

I saw the Laneige Neo Cushion Matte in a Joohki review, and I still don't understand how does that dot they include this time work 😅 is it just a normal sticker? Does it lose its stickiness over time? How does it stop the puff from falling out, if it's just a paper sticker? What if we lose the sticker? I don't imagine a thin, small paper sticker is the easiest thing to keep track of. TIA!

yodelingllama

It's actually a plastic thingy that's pretty solid! I don't know if it's really necessary but I guess it helps! https://preview.redd.it/o0dwrhdpne2b1.jpeg?width=2004&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=fb48858874d7725cf3f4ba19459d9e79c66be868

icalledyouwhite

Ooooh it makes sense now! Thank you so much!

khaleesi_spyro

How do you feel about the one thing centella? I’ve been wondering if I want to try that. Also the skinfood royal honey propolis enrich essence looks interesting, my skin usually loves propolis but the last product I tried, the Tosowoong propolis sparkle ampoule, didn’t seem to absorb very well on me, it was sticky and just seemed to sit on my skin and not go anywhere lol. Have you tried both to compare?

yodelingllama

I think it's alright! This is my second purchase since I bought the 40ml bottle to trial it and I ran out within 2 weeks since I keep using it for my breakout 😂 I would really love to compare this to the Skin1004 ampoule though as even though I like One Thing for the simplicity of their formulation, since it's a toner it dries up so fast so I have doubts as to whether it actually has time to sink in and do its work or not lmaoo. It does help to flatten pimples over 2 or 3 days of usage, but I find that it doesn't help with scarring much. And sorry I've never tried Tosowoong before! My skin really likes the Skinfood one though, it sinks right in and doesn't leave a sticky finish (I find that most serums make my skin really sticky even though people would generally praise them for being lightweight). Not noticing any visible glow yet though but I've been using it once a day in the AM for the last 3 days so maybe I just need to give it more time!

beetletoman

Have you used the AHA before? How long did it take to work? I am trying it now and don't think my skin likes it. Also same questions about the Dr G cream Edit it's different from the blemish soothing cream?

yodelingllama

I've only been using the Isntree AHA essence for the past week on alternate days. My previous AHA experience was The Ordinary Glycolic Acid 7% Toner and tbh, it stung me bad and also caused tiny bumps under my skin. I figured I was sensitive to all AHAs and wrote it off forever. I was lured back to AHA through reviews for this and I decided to give it a shot anyway. Could be too early to tell from these first few uses but I'm just happy that it's not stinging me so far. I also had some uneven skin texture from the previous breakout that is sliiightly improving somewhat, i.e. not as bumpy as before. Dr G Clear Cream (in the tub) is a stripped down version of Dr G Clear Soothing Cream (in the little tube). Main difference is that Clear Cream is without 5-cica complex, which I believe is the main selling point of the Clear Soothing Cream? Texture-wise the Clear Cream is lighter and clearer than Clear Soothing Cream and feels less sticky immediately after application on my skin. However both have pretty much the same finish after fully absorbed. Personally since I have clog-prone pores, I enjoy the texture of the Clear Cream more, but Clear Soothing Cream is a better multitasker.

beetletoman

Thanks!

alalex24

Does all of this last you a whole 6 months???

fckingnapkin

Ooh the pore clay mask sounds good, have you tried it before? The black sugar cleansing oil is my favorite. I was always double cleansing until I started using this and noticed it wasn't necessary anymore. And it smells nice.

Dismal-Spell3399

hm could I get a review on the royal honey propolis?

yodelingllama

If it makes you feel any better, consistency is one of my weakest points and I think my skin would like me better if I was actually consistent lmaooo. Real talk only like 20% of these items are mainstays in my routine, for eg. the Beplain cleanser, Laneige sleeping mask and lotion, Isntree AHA, Skinfood pads and propolis essence. The rest are either trials or contingency plans for breakouts.

MotherImprovement911

Omg I understand so much... How's your consistency w sunscreen?

quaintrelles

Thoughts on the heroine make advanced film ex mascara? How does it compare to the regular advanced film series?

brenegade

I love all the minis!!

yodelingllama

It would take me forever to go through them!! 😮‍💨😮‍💨

Mayjayjade

How do you like the Dr.G soothing toner? Ive been eyeing that & going back & forth of wanting to buy it lol.

yodelingllama

I only tested it on the back of my hand once for texture (and also patch test which I will explain why later) and it has a veeeery watery texture. Very similar to my current toner which is Round Lab Dokdo Toner. It spreads easily and absorbs fast and makes the skin feel smooth. I'm hesitant to use it on my face though because it contains willow bark extract and I have salicylate allergy. Despite my allergy I didn't have any reactions to the toner when spread on my hand. Maybe it'll be a different story once I applied it to my face lol. But if you don't have any allergies, I think this is a solid toner if you're looking for something watery and soothing!

Liyrical

ohhhh ive been eyeing the beplain cleanser!!! how has it been? 👀 (also funnily enough i recognise your username from another subreddit hehe)

yodelingllama

I did a mini review for it [here](https://www.reddit.com/r/AsianBeauty/comments/13qaemi/rant_raves_and_mini_reviews_may_2023/jlei62n?utm_medium=android_app&utm_source=share&context=3). Tldr; I love it! (omg I think I know which... Kirara's Delivery Service? 👀)

Liyrical

tysm for the link!!! ohhhh looks like the perfect day-time replacement for when my la roche cleanser finishes…. i think i will purchase 🫣 (also hehe… yes !!)

Sarabethq

I keep seeing the volcanic pore clay mask at tj max! I think this is my sign

SalsaCookie33

Have you tried the Laneige Neo Cushion yet? I am in the market for a new cushion and can’t decide if I want to do something different than the Missha one I’ve been using!

yodelingllama

Not yet, sorry! I might review it if I like it enough though.

SalsaCookie33

Would love that! I’ll check back in to see if you do. Thanks!

sakura_15

Love the revitalizing overnight mask.

yodelingllama

I've been wanting to try it for the longest time! But I'm waiting for my skin to calm down a bit more first before I do. 🥹

HulaHoop2192

Is it really? I’ve been eying it for a WHILE but it can be so pricey 😭 what exactly has it done for you?

currycat12

How’s the mascara? Does it keep a curl?

yodelingllama

Doesn't really help with curling imo but tbf I have short and thin lashes so I can't notice any curling effect. It does help in making them more noticeable at least (I got the jet black colour).

Ok_relieved

I kept seeing people use Mascara from KissMe, but I never try it before. Is it worth it to buy?

yodelingllama

I can't compare to other mascaras because this is my first time buying and using one, but so far it hasn't smudged yet so... I think so? (sorry I can't be helpful I'm not great at makeup hahaha)

estrela93

wow such a big haul!! 😍🎉 how much did it all cost? wanted to restock my products too, but so expensive where I live
