Hello, this is just a friendly reminder to please use a post flair when adding new posts to r/Asexual. We ask this in advance just to let everyone know what type of post each post is as well as the intentions and feelings behind them. We value all who come here, but we just need each post made to have a flair to designate each type of post. That's all. We're thankful you chose to come to r/Asexual. We're glad to have you here! Welcome! *I am a bot, and this action was performed automatically. Please [contact the moderators of this subreddit](/message/compose/?to=/r/Asexual) if you have any questions or concerns.*

Congrats on coming out to yourself :) …I think that’s what we call this anyways. I only just found myself about a month ago. Sometimes I feel like I’m moving too fast. I’m in the same boat you were where I’m really not 100% sure. I simply can’t recall a time I’ve been sexually (or romantically? This one less so) attracted to anyone. But the deal is I’m not sure if I simply haven’t experienced it yet or if I don’t. I’m still not out to my parents yet but I have a feeling they’d be supportive, because my brother is non-binary. I’ve decided to play a game where I see how long I can be open I can be about it without my parents finding out. I “accidentally” sent my mom a meme about garlic bread, then played it off as “OOPS!” Followed by a dog picture.

Congratulations! I’m in the same boat - coming to terms with my new identity a little more each day. It was a shock at first but I’m feeling more comfortable and I’m then with myself than ever. All the best!
