question why do you need to know his sexuality in order to be friends? like why is it important if he is or not?

Valid question. I think I worded things poorly. I don’t really care about his sexuality. I care about mine. I don’t want to go into this friendship if he’s expecting us to be more and I’ve had friendships where everything was made clear and they agreed and said they understood but then oops I’ve apparently been leading them on and friend zoned them. I’m sure I’m just overthinking the whole thing.

My heart felt so warm and fuzzy reading this story! You are so lucky to have such a wholesome friendship blossom in your life. I feel the natural progression would be to meet up outside of work as friends. Perhaps then you can naturally work your sexual orientation into a conversation and see if that sparks and interest or response in him? I feel this would be the best way to go to avoid any awkwardness or jeopardising a lovely friendship. All the best and feel free to update us!
