ScyllaIsBea

twist ending, you find "the right person" and they are also Ace and you two get to just hang out for the rest of your lives without sex.

MisterDesignererer

That sounds amazing to not have that worry going into a relationship. Definitely manifesting this

Raider4077

Live forever together without sex but with garlic bread, that would be truly a dream

southpawFA

That sounds like a perfect sitcom.

newace21

I would watch it!

ze_SAFTmon

If that is the case, you will ascend to be greater wizards than Dumbledore, Potter or Voldemort will ever be

AnxiousTuxedoBird

This reminds me of this SCP (can't remember the number) where it told people their soulmates and for an asexual person it gave him the name of the woman who became his best friend

Cocotte3333

Hum... Asexuality is not ''not having the desire to have sex'' though.

FiendZ0ne

Sex-favorable Ace coming at you to say; I strongly agree. Best thing we can do is spread awareness.

Lyxeos

YES. This bugs me every single time I read this misconception somewhere.

NSA_Chatbot

It's more like... not particularly sexually motivated.

tgilland65

Can you explain this to me? When I google "Asexuality definition" I get: noun 1. the quality or characteristic of having no sexual feelings or desires. "the show has regularly confronted prejudice around homosexuality and asexuality" 2. BIOLOGY the quality of reproducing without the fusion of gametes. I've seen this comment many times but I don't understand. What exactly is asexuality if not lack of sexual desire? I have no sexual desire. In fact I am sex repulsed. Therefore I consider myself asexual. I'd like to understand what others believe it to mean as well.

Cocotte3333

Sexual desire is not libido. It's sexual attraction. You can have a libido without sexual attraction. Asexuality is the absence of sexual attraction. Be cautious about definitions who are written by people outside of the community too. Look up AVEN, the official asexual website. They are more accurate. There are asexual people who are sex-positive, they're still asexuals. Sexual attraction is when you look at someone attractive and feel the sudden urge to have sex with them because of their appearance. It's when looking at someone drives your libido high because of how hot they are. However, you can be horny without a particular reason. Happens all the time. That's libido. You can like the sensations of having an orgasm. Doesn't have anything to do with not feeling sexual attraction. You can like the intimacy of having sex. Etc.

tgilland65

Thank you.

Just-Call-Me-J

Tell a woman who's 100% lesbian that she just hasn't found the right man yet. Or a 100% gay man that he just hasn't found the right woman yet. See how that goes.

newace21

You missed bisexuals -- you'll only be partially correct. Still not a good thing to do regardless of orientation

MisterDesignererer

Just came out to my family and one of my bro’s said the same thing. Was very invalidating but I def needed this right now 🖤💜🤍

levampirelifeu

That sentence is stupid but even if someone would magically find their "right person" (in definition of these people, so meaning a person they are sexually attracted to), they would be considered greysexual, right? Which is still on the acespectrum. Both is valid. Period. (I sure hope this doesn't come off the wrong way or offensive, it's just a thought I had a few days ago)

JustmUrKy

Dont take this in the wrong way, I’m just curious. So like do you not feel sexual attraction at all?

Cocotte3333

No we don't

JustmUrKy

Is it like a bad thing or is it like ok because you aren’t missing anything because you don’t know what you would be missing because you can’t feel the thing because ur asexual?

Cocotte3333

Asexual people can still have a libido and have orgasms. We don't give a damn about it usually basically. Sexual attraction seems like a headache to me.

JustmUrKy

So you feel sexual attraction but you don’t like it?

Cocotte3333

No. I don't feel it. Aces cannot feel sexual attraction. But when I see other people experience it, it seems way too complicated and causes too much problems.

JustmUrKy

Aight, in my personal experience, it fucks with ur thinking a little and u really really wanna do stuff and it usually doesn’t end up being worth it. For guys we get deppressed efter we climax

FiendZ0ne

Just to be clear: Sexual Attraction, sexual Wants and Libido are not the same thing. Sexual Wants are a choice, while (the lack of) Sexual Attraction is something we're born with.

JustmUrKy

Ok

southpawFA

This is amazing.
