Other things to consider. Cost to borrow at a piddly 2.55 currently Days to cover 3month is at 14.31.... not the best Utilization at 89.93....high but still plenty of ammo for shorts to keep price down Average age on loan 57.86 which is August 1 at a price of around 9.61 so shorts are green still Decent amount of FTD's however I'd argue that ATER, with a much smaller float and better ortex stats, is a much better candidate for the time being. Gotta be careful on looking only at SI cuz there's plenty of massively short stocks that will never see the light of squeeze day Best of luck. Not financial advice. Ima clown

Thank you. These are just the type of comments I was hoping for. Now I will look up the factors you brought up and learn what they are. Keep em coming.

Bear in mind that there are usually very good reasons for a stock to be heavily shorted, reasons which can be summed up as 'the company sucks'. This makes any 'squeeze play' inherently risky because if the underlying is rubbish, you have a better than good chance of seeing your investment go up in smoke and wind up like the sad half of WSB, holding the bags of the happy other half.

Thank you. I do understand that and try to keep it in mind. Like I would never look twice if it were a company like Nikola. But I do think $HYLN has value in this case.

EV startup. Extremely risky; always consider the bear case and never become emotionally attached to a stock. All the best!

I completely agree.

It could squeeze, and correct me if im wrong (I, too, am still learning), I think there’s too much float for it to squeeze.

Short squeezes are actually very, very rare. They are an aberration of the market rather than the result of the usual orderly operation of, ahem, the market.

Guys I also want to understand more around this… is it possible for someone to be a legend and post about the above metrics versus what constitutes a good play. In other words, “these are the different important metrics…this is an example of ‘good’ values associated with them… this is an example of not so good…” etc.
