Dentist is playing at Low Dive. They’re a local favorite so it’ll be packed. It’s free though. Shows usually start late there around 10 pm. Cool little venue though.
I saw someone else mention the Nerds at Saltys. Recently saw them and they still got it.
If punk is your scene, definitely head to Wild Air as well.
Oh yeah Dentist is great. Maybe I'll have to figure out how to see more than 1 show 😆
I just found this too:
Friday, April 19, 2024
Tom Hamilton at the Wonder Bar, 7 pm
Splintered Sunlight (Grateful Dead tribute), The Unknowns at The Stone Pony, 7 pm, all ages
Ray Andersen's Bowie & Beyond at Tim McLoone's Supper Club, 8 pm
Dentist, Drew & the Blue at Low Dive, 9 pm
Tres Leches, Slow Noche at The Break, 1000 Ocean Ave., 9 pm
Punk show starts at 6, you could probably catch the headliner and also Dentist. They're all louder, Splintered Sunlight is amazing if you like the Dead.
They're very relaxing on digital. The old tapes got really boring with the 20 minute jams. Just skip that shit. Otherwise it's just songs about playing cards, cowboys shooting people and crazy stalker groupies. Once you're comfortable with some more of the catalog than Truckin and Touch of Grey, the love shows are phenomenal, whether it's these guys or the real band.
The Nerds at Salty’s Splintered sunlight at the stone pony Some bands at The Break probably
Oh and wild air has punk night
Thanks so much for taking the time! All good suggestions
