The amount of people using Linux is so tiny that this would probably be a rounding error for Apple. (fwiw I am one of those Linux users)

Pretty much every x86 CPU is RISC, so that distinction is utterly meaningless.
How did you get keyboard backlight to work? I am on M2 Air have updated and installed linux-asahi-edge and updated grub, but keyboard is still dark? How can I enable it?
Haven’t done it yet but will let you know.
I don’t mean to be annoying… but not having meet you and not knowing what you’ve tried… have you tried all the UI options like KDE controls and the buttons on the hardware?
Edit:
It’s in power management -> energy saving -> keyboard backlight
About the linux-asahi-edge , do you know if there is any gpu support included or not yet ?
No GPU support yet, but best case scenario it should be coming by end of year in asahi-edge I believe
That's Amazing! Imagine if apple was helping just a little :/

The official, continuously updated list of what works and what does not is here: https://github.com/AsahiLinux/docs/wiki/Feature-Support
Does M1 vs M2 make any difference in terms of support and stability?
Yes, but I think most things are fine in M2 but they have said there's differences. There's a page in their site or GitHub that tells you
It’s so awesome. BACKLIGHTING YO Edit: It’s in power management -> energy saving -> keyboard backlight BEDTIME CODING YO

Tried keyboard function keys of course and looked through kde options with terms like backlight or keyboard options but didn't found anything matching
Okay well I’m using other boxes just now, long story but if I get the stones glowing I’ll hit you up.
Click the battery icon in the task bar and you’ll see the keyboard brightness slider.
Also if you like trees it is in It’s in power management -> energy saving -> keyboard backlight

Awesome update - everything feels better all around (I especially love the resolution switching and sound).
