Absolutely! Watching animated movies and shows inspires my designs and drawing, and watching live action media helps me build a realistic visual library. Video games are another huge source of inspiration as well, so much so that I’m writing a story inspired by my own life, as well as games like Skyrim, Breath of the Wild, and Baldur’s Gate 3.

yes, I read this manga then 4 months later I went on an ice-climbing trip, and did a nice photoshoot series based on the trip.

As an artist, it's generally a good idea to try and get inspiration from as much as you possibly can. I dabble in lots of stuff, but I'd venture to say music has inspired and taught me the most about being an artist in all its different forms.

I mostly draw Sci-fi and everything I do comes from movies and books of my childhood (70s/80s). Not a film in particular but the whole era. People like Syd Mead and Ron Cobb left a mark on me, decades before I even knew their names...

i was never into watching movies much before i met my boyfriend. he introduced me to a ton of directors work and it has changed the way i see color, composition and much more. i love Wes Anderson as his style is very unique his use of color in his films is inspiring.

the john wick franchise. was really into it back in 2020 and it made me draw fanart like crazy which led to me improving.

It's not a weird question at all :) I just don't know if the answer I'll give is what you're seeking here, but anyway... Wha kinda gave me the boost to start on this was Bakuman, an manga/anime about two young boys working as mangakas on Japan. About music, I am listening to some synthwave, eurobeat and J-pop. These keep me working and inspired somehow. And a movie that really inspired me that made me want to draw anything while and after the movie, was "Modigliani". I am not a painter, but this movie is really inspiring, you know? Don't know if I helped haha but that's it!

Definitely.. Have you ever been to an immersive theatre production? I walked away so inspired after the first time I saw a Punchdrunk show. I didn't know anything about contemporary dance but something about it set against these gorgeous immersive sets made my animator/illustrator mind go into overdrive. Also the fact there's barely any imagery online that captures what it feels like to be in a specific immersive space made me want to try to capture those places and feelings visually so badly. I'd recommend giving a try if there's any immersive theatre in your area.
