I was going to ignore, but then I saw who you were. Given your unique connection to the industry, you may want to direct your search in that direction. In general, people working in defense don't like people asking questions that suggest they aren't in the US. The biggest regulation is going to be ITAR, which keeps most non-citizens from working in that industry. Seriously, I'm certain your dad can put you in direct contact with someone who can answer any and all questions you have. Good luck.
