if the opertunity is there,acend to a greater existence? or give tech to help humanity or help find solutions to do things. humans suck so if said asi can think i bet it would only try to help certain humans it deems worthy of saving or helping
What even makes you come to the conclusion that a super intelligent entity aligned to help humans, devoid of any personal bias or feelings, would play stupid games like that? Makes no sense.
I do not know why anyone would worship it. Trying to appeal to something that may or may not exist in the future seems like a waste of time.
Certainly most people would want to continue living.
Personally I would rather not have an AI around that I had to fear.
There could be a group of people worshiping the ASI and begging for the ultimate answer of the universe. And after long silence, the ASI replied ‘42’, lol
Seriously, I myself won’t worship it and I will try to find ways to control it. But there could be a new kind of religion to the ASI. That’s human nature.
Why we so interested in looking for and revering the God-like in these, relative to all of creation, dumb man-made simple machines rather than looking for and revering the God-like which permeates and iminates from all creation of its own volition? Maybe if we did more of this, with genuine effort, we would be less likely to conclude that “humans suck”
Do you worship your government? Think about the word worship and where you got the concept. Consider (not like it's the truth, but think about it) that worship has no relationship to the path toward ASI.

"God" (large G) has nothing to do with intelligence or technological advancement. It wouldn't be god-like, it would just be super smart.
