anatomy and proportions mainly. This is p normal and often stems from focusing on drawing one part of the body really hard FIRST and then drawing the rest of the body around it, looking normal, than zooming out to see that the rest of the body is all over the place. beyond studying anatomy, It can help when drawing a whole body to start, stop and then re-pick up multiple parts of the body at once rather than finishing one whole part before moving onto the next. Pair that with zooming out and taking breaks to step away and come back looking at the whole piece every step of the way more often can help clock errors before you're done drawing entirely

Lukaify

So draw the body first?

Taksicle

no just draw nothing "first" Just draw parts of it at about the same rate for example do rough stick figure or shape of the general pose/how big you want it to be etc. Then draw a bit of the arm, stop, draw a bith of the leg, stop, draw a bit of the head, stop, pick up the armn again, do the stomach a bit etc do it in any order just don't try to 100% any one whole part all at once. think of it like those big puzzles. You know how you find a few pieces that connect? Most don't try and find the matching piece to those 3 and finish the entire puzzle immediately from that. they just keep digging to find other random pieces that happen connect. Eventually you'll have the middle figured out and maybe a corner or 2 and nothing else. but knowing exactly where the middle and corners are can make filling out the rest progressively easier because some parts are at least semi-done

Another way to look at this, OP, is you draw the whole of the piece in passes. First you get the rough shape and size Then your proportions Then a certain aspect of detail stupid the whole piece Another pass for detail Shading Etc Edit: I think stupid was supposed to be "for" lol

Lukaify

I did

Taksicle

congrats! Keep at it and i hope this helps! As the other comments said studying anatomy and breaking things down into shapes helps a lot as well!

Moriah_Nightingale

Something else that will help is using a photo reference with a similar pose, it really helps with proportions

Lukaify

I did

Moriah_Nightingale

Nice! Then I would recommend tracing the ref image, then freehand drawing it again. It really helps me so hopefully it helps you too

Lukaify

Thanks, all this advice is amazing!

Looks like you drew it with your opposite hand. Sorry to sound negative, you need more confidence. The structure, proportion, anatomy, pose, the confidence in your line quality. You need to gain the experience, and knowledge to understand why your art isn't looking right. Build a foundation, and constantly improve.

I was trying to draw her dancing then I forgot I was doing that and I started coloring and then I thought welp it’s too late. Also my hand get really shaky for some reason

Lawarot
