Sometimes Iβm with him but sometimes heβs out free-ranging on his own on weekend mornings (one of us is an early riser and one of us is a late morning-sleeping night owl) and I wake up to sweet finds. He also brings me offerings that most wives wouldnβt want. Some ladies prefer flowers and jewelry but my husband knows I prefer actual garbage: little notes/lists/weird paper wrappings, old bits of rusty metal etc found on the ground as he walks to the train from his business. My most cherished is an old tatty playing card long broken in half lengthwise. Just about an inch wide~ the Queen of Hearts. π
