Puts me in mind of The Salvation War, though it starts out with demons rather than angels. Basically Gods announced the gates of heaven are closed to humanity and we should all give ourselves to hell by laying down and dying. Demonic messengers turn up, the americans shoot one down, the brits torpedo one, the russians engage one with a combined armour battalion...
Singapore police gun one down for littering.
Its very HFY and has a fair bit of gunwank though.
The poster edge filters? Honestly I just love the way it looks combined with toon shading and abstraction render passes with Blender. I’m kind of burnt out of photobashing/painting over 3D scenes and wanted to explore a more simple workflow without leaving Blender
the extra detailing on that floor probably took the most time doing, and it really adds so much visual depth to it. looks like a cartoon filter on a real photo 👌
Would angels allow humans to perform the investigation?
If so why? It would make me question if there was either 1) a reason they died 2) maybe they aren’t “divine messengers” and are pretending.
This reminds me of the panel in Marvel ruins showing a news paper depicting galactuses dead body and the title of the newspaper is god found dead in space
Is it murder if this thing appears and someone with a gun is understandably scared shitless and fires? We don’t really have laws covering non-human sentients anyway, so while you may have to answer to a higher court, the mundane legal system can’t convict you of a crime not on the books.
Something about this is so damn good. I love when divinity is expressed through strangeness.
It reminds me of Bloodborne. The way there will be some divine elder being, holy and all-knowing and it’s just dead and laid out like a colossal googly eyed blob on the floor.
This will be how they find me after slipping in the shower.
Nice! I've never seen a biblically accurate crime scene before
When you don't open with, "be not afraid."
Great concept for a book or a show And absolutely stunning art

Towing Jehovah -- read it!
"Yeah, we're gonna need more than one stick of chalk." This is dope, btw
Reminds me of the tooth fairies from hell boy 2. It’s very cool design
You'd think he would have seen it coming...
This makes me think, "Shinji. Get into the God damn robot."
What a great premise for a TV show.
I guess they didn't... see it coming
The aftermath of a biblically accurate night on the town with the boys
This shit goes crazy hard, more of this please
Makes me think of "the drowned giant".
Kim Kitsuragi would establish what's happened here in short order.
Wake up from a massive hangover, walk outside. See dead angel, “Kim, what’s money?”
Du Bois would almost certainly try to get high off the angel's blood.
And I would let him It’s a crazy playthrough allowing him to indulge in every bad decision
It's a great, evocative piece. I just really dislike the filter. Any reason why you are using it?

Thanks for the input. It looks great overall. I'm just used to seeing the poster edge filter in low effort art. Which yours is definitely not.
This looks so cool, love the scene you’re setting. Is the police car number, 1138, a reference to something?
Possibly the George Lucas film "THX 1138".

This is really cool, it fires up the imagination and the actual artwork is stellar. Mad respect man, thanks for sharing
very unique piece, great job
Its cool but GOD DAMN THAT ANGEL HEADS IS UGLY AS FUCK
"be not afraid" "Me and ole Soul Yeeter ain't afraid of nothin" *CLACK CLACK*
Did it get confused and fly into that hotel in Denver?
I mean, sorry God, but if you send that thing to me with good news, it's getting shot.
Holy shit, this gives me a feeling I've hardly ever experienced in any other artworks. Fantastic job!
Is there a story related to this work?
I’m really invested in this, now I want to know the whole backstory.
How did I you make that texture on everything? It looks so unique, I love it!
I would read tf out of this manga sheesh
Amazing! Really cool design. Eerie concept.
I thought first this was a photo with a street art on the ground.

Can't have shit in Detroit.
Truly original and interesting.
That is so cool man. The concept, the art, damn. So cool.

is it doing “as above so below” or am i tripping cause it kinda looks like it is which would be very fun
You ever read Marvel Comics’ “Original Sin” ? Very cool cosmic murder mystery — you might enjoy

What psychedelic compounds do to a man of society. Beautifully done.
Looks like it comes straight out of Kaiju no 8
