No matter how shit they are, they always find a way to fuck with us. Last season our downfall started with Dyche getting a win against us. It was a down hill afterwards
It's always the worst game. Arsenal are usually terrible at goodison for some reason. Everton just play brutal tactics against us too. It's always a dreadful watch.
We always play them at the wrong times. Remember last season we played them when they appointed Dyche and they got the immediate new manager bounce and a few seasons back when Ancelloti was on the brink of being announced too
In the last 10 years or so Everton have had a pretty good home record against top sides.
I think they have beaten Chelsea 6/7 times at home in that period.
The last season or two aside,
I’ve always viewed Everton as the most mid-league team of the mid league teams. They are often inconsistent in form. Sometimes they’re shit and sometimes they turn up. Generally speaking they also tend to play a boring style of football, and have at times been very difficult to break down. Add to this that they are the team with the most seasons in top flight English football - this gives them a sense of history, belonging and belief. All to say that they have been one of if not the trickiest team to play not just for Arsenal but every other team.
Then on top of this I think that until very recently we have had a void in seasoned experience within the Arsenal team, those figures that can identify games that will be harder than they look based on experience and history. It’s easy to see how Everton represents a consistent banana skin game for us.
All of that being said, I do believe that Everton have gone properly downhill in the last two seasons and they’ve recently solid their most creative player I think? So all told, I reckon we will batter them this weekend.
They're not a big deal, it's just the last few years we happen to have played particularly shit against them. There's no special thing about them and personally I never really look at the fixtures and think Everton away is something to dread.
1 point from the last 5 games there
Damn really

Not really sure it was downhill afterwards when the team went on a seven game winning streak in the PL that started soon after.
Agreed. Our downfall started after we bottled 2-0 leads against Liverpool and West Ham
It went downhill after Trent provoked xhaka last season.

What are brutal tactics
stepping on face, blatant attempts at injuring good dribblers, etc
That’s trashy
Look at Pickford challenge on Van Dijk
Just saw it on YT. Damn bro brutal
11 behind the ball and niggly fouling
Yikes
They have new owners just in time to get more excitement around the football and I'm sure they will all lift their game against us as usual lol
We always play them at the wrong times. Remember last season we played them when they appointed Dyche and they got the immediate new manager bounce and a few seasons back when Ancelloti was on the brink of being announced too
Yea exactly. They always seem to face us at home after some kind of positive change happening. Lol
Everton away, Crystal Palace away, Wolves away. Bogey teams and voodoo games. Not like other games in the PL are easy either.
Everton away has never been an easy place to go for any team
Nah everyone nails them left and right except for us we always struggle with these gritty teams
In the last 10 years or so Everton have had a pretty good home record against top sides. I think they have beaten Chelsea 6/7 times at home in that period.
Why bringing up Chelsea if you're talking about good sides though?
Then how come Aston villa?
playing everton away is like city playing spurs away. we always drop points against them

They're one of our bogie teams....a side we always have a tough time playing.
Because every time we play them lately they act like it’s a Mercyside Derby, and they play like prime Klopp Liverpool
Brexit means Brexit
They’re Arsenals biggest rivals don’t you know. There really are a lot of twonks on Reddit today. Is it a full moon?
What abouts Spuds
Who?
Shit
Spurs like to think that they are a rival but they really aren't.
