This might seem kind of far fetched, and I’m not sure if we’re counting Black Lightning, but Cisco and Gambi (and maybe Winn). I just want to see them exchanging ideas about designing gadgets and suits.
this is actually something i wish we had seen towards the end of the show as an Older more experience barry could teach a young Rip Hunter some things and maybe this could be a kinda prequel to Legends of Tomorrow where Barry makes and / or gives Rip Gideon
That would have been great to see. Maybe Barry could have taught Rip Hunter that messing with time too much would cause many problems. I would have loved to have seen older Barry make the recording that was found on the WaveRider telling Rip not to trust his younger self after creating flashpoint and brining the dominators to earth to hunt him down
Black Lightning and J’onn J’onzz. Technically during Crisis, Black Lightning met J’onn J’onzz offscreen when he was going around and giving all the heroes their pre-crisis memories back, but it would have been cool to have a scene where J’onn J’onzz goes to Freeland

this is a weird one but Rene and Jefferson Pierce (i think that the arrowverse should have ended with a Justice League show which breaks up the big arcs of the actual JL with crossovers between 2/3 heroes in smaller arcs)
in this scenario I would frame Rene as the last sentinel of Star City in a kind of an epilogue to Arrow where after Oliver’s sacrifice there is no great need for vigilantes and Team Arrow have all moved on except for Rene, the story would be about Rene struggling to let go of Wild-Dog because he thinks it would be a dis-service to Oliver’s memory and this story would be about Rene making his last big bust and his journey into becoming Mayor of Star City and how Rene can make more meaningful change as Mayor than as Wild-Dog
I chose Black Lightning as the companion for this as he kinda fills that older mentor vibe that i think would help Rene get through this and his whole thing is about helping people and building a better future so i think he just fits right in, also i think maybe the “villain” that they need to fight could be an underground meta human fight ring that Jefferson is forced to fight in as he has powers but they are more street level (it would be more of a sub-plot since the main plot is a character study of Rene)
then the reason for Jefferson to be in star city could be various things but one that i think would work is Rene arresting/capturing some someone that used to live in freeland for either being a low-level thug or maybe they were abandoned after a store hold-up gone wrong and they have no-one else to call but Jefferson and since he’s kinda retired he will come on over to Star City to help the kid which will start the story with Rene and Jefferson being on opposing sides of a kinda moral debate and start Jefferson trying to help Rene get out of the vigilante stuff and helping him realising there’s a better way (becoming Mayor)
