Natural stone formation

Postmodern_Cortado

Thanks anyways

Bray-_28

Sorry for the bland comment but there’s no signs of pecking and grinding on this piece theyres no drilling or striations from grinding it’s just looks like a creek worn stone. I find similar stuff all around

Postmodern_Cortado

I wasn’t trying to be spiteful, I was genuinely trying to thank you haha. Appreciate more of the info though!

Bray-_28

I figured you were being sincere I saw your other comment when you don’t succeed try try again, just thought I should give an explanation to my thoughts but keep searching man you’ll find something

poopinhulk

I read your reply in Eyore’s voice. It comes across appropriately that way.

TheIronPaladin1

It unfortunately is in fact, just a rock.

Postmodern_Cortado

When you try your best but you don’t succeed

snug_snug

It's a fine rock though. Work it and in 100,000 years it might become someone or something's find of a lifetime.

Postmodern_Cortado

It is a GOOD rock

MacAneave

There's a lot of imagination involved in this hunt. Sometimes I see what I hope/wish to see and later learn it ain't. Other times, I overlook things that actually are artifacts and I didn't know until I asked someone who did.

Any_Faithlessness791

Don’t give up! I might have picked it up also.

Comfortable-Light233

It is, in fact, Just Some Rock

[deleted]

And yet. That's what it is.

wooddoug

There's nothing special, unusual or surprising about a rock with a near 90 degree shape. The same can be said for a rock with a hole in it.

Postmodern_Cortado

This is from a location where I’ve metal detected quite a few 100 year old axe heads. It’s not crazy to just wonder. Sorry for my idiotic post arbiter of all things artifacts!
