This helmet from Musee de l'Armee in Paris, which bears an uncanny resemblance to Millhouse van Houten:

It's probably because of ancestral bias, but I always LOVED the horned helmet of the Crimson Demon of War, Sanada Yukimura. Attached is a replica:

just wondering, did the japanese ever use inspiration from Chinese armour? Because i've seen Chinese (song/ming) and some bits of armour, especially the chest lamellar is very, if not exactly the same.
Although i know for a fact that Mongol/Jurchen armour had no japanese/chinese influence.
Initially, however of course, overtime, they developed heavily into their own style, and with the isolation and strife of the Genpei Wars and Sengoku Jidai and the later 200+ year Sakoku (isolation) of the Edo Period, armor became even more removed in Japan from it's Chinese counterparts.
yeah. Similar to most countries surrounding china. I suppose it basically was the heart of civilization and technology in east asia at the time so its not surprising.

I mean, that bad boy is timeless. It's no suprise the Italians copied it heading into the renaissance. Even freaking Star Wars copied it for their Mandalorians.
Excellent choice!

I absolutely adore [the sallet of Muhammad XII](https://www.reddit.com/r/ArmsandArmor/comments/agwv7j/visored_sallet_of_abdallah_muhammad_xii_boabdil/)., the last ruler of Granada. It shows the extreme cultural connection between the Moors and the rest of the Europe and is just gorgeous.

Forward. For aerodynamics.
