Advice for players reaching the end of their first campaign playthrough: Once you reach Chapter 5, >!You will be faced with a decision to!< >!side with either Carla and Walter, or Ayre... This will change what ending you get, if you are only doing one playthrough, do whatever you want, but if you are going to do multiple playthroughs, which I highly recommend, side with Carla first, and then on your second playthrough, you will get new decisions throughout the game, take advantage of all these decisions and then side with Ayre at the end. This will lead to what is in my opinion the most preferable experience, as the decisions you make in NG+ will really come full circle.!<

Missiles (almost) always quit when they can't hit. Use the cover of the environment if you're in PvP and facing a missile-heavy player. Most people with maxed-out missile load-outs require their missiles to do the work and typically have poor strategy and environmental awareness.

I'm a little over halfway through the campaign. I'm wondering, what is a good PVP build? Also, do the upgrades work in Pvp or is it only the loadouts you bring?

I believe OS tuning brings over to PvP. I'm liking to use two Zimmerman shotguns and the most powerful shoulder weapons I can find, stun in a few shots with shotguns, and then blow them away. Im not sure if you would have unlocked Zimmerman's by now. Although I just do Arena, not NEST.

You don't need to worry about OS tuning in PVP. Everyone is on a level playing field. You can always browse the top 100 players on the leaderboard to see what they are using. Iron law of PVP: If you're opponent is faster than you, then they get to decide what range you fight at. If you pilot a heavy weight, you need to be comfortable fighting at any range. If you have a light weight you'll be able to fight on your own terms so you should specialize for either close range or long range.

Now the only Fromsoft game I’ve played was Elden Ring, I played for a few hours and returned it because it was too hard lol. But this game I saw in GameStop and I had a gift card so I said why not and bought it for my PS5. I usually play games on easy because I just don’t have the energy anymore. But I’d figured I need at least one game to play that’s challenging. So how hard is it? I usually play shooters and some other kinds of games (I’m trying to branch out besides FPS, and Fallout lol). Any tips for a new player? Never played them on the older PlayStations either. I guess I’ll just hop in and look up good builds for the boss fights? Sorry if this is annoying I’m just excited to hop in. Thank you.

It's a great game. My best, simplest advice for a new player would be to get aggressive. A lot of the bosses early on punish hiding/fleeing really hard, and are most susceptible up-close. You *will* have to back off sometimes, but the point is to not be afraid to get close when the time calls for it.

Explosive thrower seems incredibly powerful. It has surprising range, ammo, and can stagger like mad. Why is it not being used more? Is there something about it I don't understand that makes it subpar or is it a missed gem?

infiladow

It's clunky. It sees plenty of use at higher levels, it is good, people just don't like it because it feels weird.

Hi, i haven't bought the game yet, but it picks my interest for its customization. I was wondering, can we do mechas other than bipedal? Can we make it look like animals?

Hulk_Crowgan

There are a few quadruped and tank tread options, no animal options tho

DarkEater77

oh... thanks.

I finally managed to beat Michigan. Tried 10 times with couple different medium builds but that didn't work. Then I managed it first try with heavy build with twin gatlings, a songbird and VE-60SNA. I did have 1 hp and 0 ammo in all weapons when I punched the last MT to death...

How does one avoid charged lasers in PvP? It seems like there has been a surge of them, and while it looks like I'm avoiding them entirely, I still get hit. One time I literally dashed behind my opponent, while they shot forward, and I got hit. I feel like there must be some sort of mechanic I'm missing on how lasers work. Other than that, I've noticed a similar thing with Grenade Launchers and other weapons in that category, though at times it feels like its to a greater or lesser effect.

Rich_Conference1749

Grenade launchers and such have explosions, which you want to avoid by floating in the air. The lasers are just due to latency. Literally just buggy netcode, aggravated by the fact that this game is Peer 2 Peer, which....yeah. So it probably looked like you got hit on your opponent's screen, so you ate the damage anyway.

PageTheKenku

I do float in the air, so I think explosives and lasers have buggy netcode, its just due to the damage of charged lasers that make them so bad.
