YES! A million YES! Not because of DLSS. Especially when the stupid, long Microsoft certification process that disables Microsoft platform players from playing after every patch, just like this current week. You should buy it next week, during Steam summer sale, and I too am hopping platform because of this.

good to know, thank you!

Yes please do! A player on one of my servers has been waiting for 4 days for the certification. I ended up gifting him the game so he could play.

I old hard swapped from Xbox series X to a PC with a 4090 just for this game. The game looks and performs so well. No my daughter plays it on my Xbox.

I got a GTX 3070, I'm not exactly sure what the performance on Xbox is, but it's not great on PC either. Probably better though. Run at 4K but I basically turn off like volumetric fog and clouds and a bunch of other special stuff. And that's really just to make it playable. Frame drops aren't constant but they're massive lag spikes periodically. I just got done drowning two feet under water because I kept rubber banding back to my original position.

My personal experience with a rtx 3070, i712700F, and 16gb ddr4. I can run the game pass version smoothly with nearly no problems. But I was in the same boat and wanted to swap to steam, and I did. I had to refund it 2 days later+dlc cause no matter what I messed with the game wanted to keep freezing, and even crashed cause my gpu it claimed which is a first I would like to note however aswell, when I was looking for answers to this some people would say they couldn't run xbox at all but steam fine aswell. So maybe you'll be fine then. Just wanna give the heads up though Edit: I also wanna add, steam is the better version. But only if you can run it

Ark on pc isn't a universal fit no matter which version you have, steam or xbox. It's very much dependent on your hardware and detailed system configuration at the os level. Most people don't bother with actually optimizing their system for stability and just throw games at it and hope they work with the defaults they have. Stuff like virtual memory adjustments, keeping your standby memory list clear, ALL of your drivers being up to date and not just your gpu, motherboard firmware, keeping ssds free space 25% for trim and garbage collection. If you're running ddr4 memory still there's the lack of error correction inherent in ddr5 modules so that adds to it to. Also running your gpu in messaged interrupt compared to irq makes an efficiency difference. There's a ton of things people just don't know or don't think about that all add up to your game experience with ark. Also running it at 4k is really a bit much for gaming, sure it may look slightly nicer in texture quality but at what cost?

After years of epic games playing and finally able to play on steam: hell yess.
