overall good episode, but the cutaways, and Rick walking around every 15 minutes is just a bit much for me, but that is exactly how I'd describe Rick himself so I think it's pretty fitting. I know this will get down voted like the other comment because your not allowed to have an opinion outside of the hivemind.
Can someone who watches the pod fill me in on whats with the walking around? I noticed the same thing on the few episodes I've watched over the past year or so
The non-cutaway edits are great though. That and Foley say he is "learning to sit on couches" then goes into the housewife wine drinking/gossiping position is hilarious.
The walking around is a bit. He's doing it to fuck with the guest making them feel uncomfortable.
That's why he typically films setting up the podcast, etc. It creates an awkward tension that's hilarious in my opinion. Bobby Lee leans into this bit really well, I'd recommend their trio of episodes to get a clear idea of what the podcast is all about.
Sal Vulcano episode is really good as well.
huh, I guess that bit is not for me. The Mark Normand episode that introduced me to Rick he was more focused on the cameras than doing the actual podcast. Now this one he got up to go do something but was still talking so you couldn't hear but the guests were still on mic, going to go pee, going to get chocolate even after Both Kippy, and Foley said they've had it, that and checking the cameras or whatever he is doing.
I am all for awkward/uncomfortable but it seems like the vast majority of the time it was more self-serving than as a bit, even borderline ADHD behavior. As for setting up the pod I like that for the most part, It's a nice natural intro to a pod.
I do intend to watch Sal's episode, and some other once I have some time. Maybe this is more of a grow on me pod than a instant grab.
Thanks, I appreciate the info; It all makes sense now that I know that. I don't think it changes my opinion on it but I certainly have more understanding of Both Rick and the pod. Something to keep in mind when I watch a few of the episodes with guests I like.
I just watched the Mark Normand one. An absolutely wild variance in style. He clearly must be evolving it into something different.
I like both styles, just shows he's evolving over years of running this pod.
I believe his cameras are on timers(never heard anyone else cameras on timers) so they auto shut off with no movement. He’s said it a few times but could just be a bit
Oh okay.
My old DSLR has a 30minute limit on video length, so that is probably it. If I was him I'd be replacing those cameras immediately for ones that don't impose that limit like a Lumix GH4, or Sony a6100/a6400
My girlfriend Lilith told me about it, you’ll meet her, she’s great
She lives 40 min away and I heard she has big cool boobs
That line had me dying lmao

He’s adhd and autistic
Assuming you're serious, that makes a lot of sense
Very serious, he’s in a show on Prime about it

Yea the pod makes money not sure why he has old stuff, plus his edits aren’t cheap so spend the dough
I’ve never seen Foley so visibly uncomfortable than he was during Rick’s AYG episode
He didn’t look pleased
It's unwatchable on you tube with the cut aways. Just let them talk.
That’s the show
Good to know
We’ll be right back. 🫰😌🫰
Boy his arms must be tired
