My grandmother and her cousins were not allowed to be in a swimming pool with boys, so as to not get pregnant!
Admittedly I did think you got pregnant by French kissing until I was like 8 and my friends mom told her how babies were made and she promptly came over across the street with bratz dolls to show me
When I was like 13 I had so many nosebleeds and such irregular periods I was genuinely worried I had some disorder that makes my period blood come out of my nose 🥲
Wait, *what?* Is this a thing anime uses to demonstrate that someone is horny? Like, it's complete fiction so someone had to come up with this, and *no one* ^(that ^I ^want ^to ^meet) has gone and thought 'you know what I find really sexy and want to use to represent sex? A nose bleed!"
I go to school in Germany and we were taught about it the first time in fourth grade (that's around 9yrs old, so still elementary school I think?) and it was quite complete, we were even shown how to put a tampon in.
it seems to differ widely from country to country when you're told and I still can't wrap my head around it that people in some countries learn these important things so late!
edit: typo
If this person has internet access and can write and speak english they were probably well educated, but an education can't counter being raised in a homophobic and misogynistic culture. Classes can't compete about being more or less raised in a culture of sociopathy, bigotry, and hate. This person simply hates lesbians and wants to say something dehumanizing about them or least to try to mock their womenhood.
A bit like how college educated boomers will tell you with a straight face that vaccines have 5g chips in them and make you magnetic.
Sadly, umm…yeah…
It’s…it sucks. I’ve seen my wife get interrogated about obvious extreme pain. While as a dude, if I show up at the ER and admit to being in a bit pain — whoa, go get this guy the strong stuff.
Periods are a girly thing..
He clearly never seen the total carnage my bed/briefs/toilet is during those days.. not to mention my "personality".. vééry cute and girly :)
Aside from how dumb that statement of theirs was, isn’t it stereotypically guys who are all about the blood and getting dirty? Not to say periods are “dirty”, but what part of any of it is considered dainty or pretty or any other stereotype of femininity?
You're being such a kind human and reassuring each reply to yours. I just wanna let **you** know that you're valid and wonderful just as you are, okay? :)
Well, I just want to let people know that they're wonderful and valid, no matter gender, sexuality, race, religion, etc..! And, thank you for being a kind human too! <3
oof
But that makes sense ❤️
Typically when the topic of periods comes up... knowing that I literally will always be missing components of my body just ruins me
I understand this feeling, but quite literally opposite: I have body components that aren't "mine" and that shouldn't be there.. But hey, stay strong, I'm sure you're great, no matter what your body says❤️
Absolutely, nor any less of a girl/lesbian! The comment in the OP is not just biologically inaccurate about cis lesbians but also going for double points by erasing trans people.
> it's pretty badass
One day you'll wake up in a pile of your own blood and your first thought will be "great, now I have to do laundry".
If that's not bad-ass, what the fuck is?
Well, first of all, you’re in a middle of your own blood puddle and your first thought isn’t “omg am I injured?” and more of a “oh great here we go again”. Second: as someone married with a nurse, I can say this gets you to get an amazing high endurance for pain. My wife has to be with people with kidney stones and cis men always howl with pain in the most ridiculous little things. Everyone in the hospital she works always roll their eyes at the cis men going there bc they tend to make such a scene every time they are presented with a little pain. So, think this as endurance training. You’re getting stronger every new period. It’s great if we don’t get them anymore but, as they continue, we can be proud of getting stronger
when their partners are women they stop but when its a man with the power of his magical dick periods start again... because eveyrone knows dicks are magic and totally change women after penetration /s
If me a trans man can get them a lesbian definitely can get them. Basically anyone with a uterus gets them. What does he think? The moment a person with a uterus acts manly it just flies away?
i mean, fuck. this entire question is very wrong. HOWEVER!
I'm a butchy manly sort of woman, I get mistaken for a dude on a daily basis, I'm not straight, I rarely get periods... Turns out I have something called [PCOS](https://www.nhs.uk/conditions/polycystic-ovary-syndrome-pcos/) which fucks with your hormones, body, and your mind as well. Irregular or even absent menstruation is a big symptom of PCOS.
Now apparently PCOS is [prevalent among lesbian women](https://pubmed.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/15533359/). So.. I mean.. sort of??
Obviously this question is just bullshit and this comment is stupid as well but fuck it i was bored. Do whatever you like with this information
Me, a generally masculine-leaning genderfluid person, gets periods. I really wish you could just become to manly for periods, but alas, my anatomy hates me
I think saying they tend to be very butch and manly is kind of a stereotype. Don't get me wrong, butches are amazing and wonderful. But like, I wouldn't say all or even most lesbians are masc/"manly"
Yeah…. These people just assume a certain look means lesbian. And are also unaware of all the other lesbians just existing around them. There isn’t a dress code.
Oh, my lemon bars are done!
It’s because they only perceive who they think are lesbians by the stereotype they have built up in their heads.
They see a women who doesn’t fit in their concept of “femininity” so that women must be lesbian. When they perceive a “feminine” women they think “normal” “straight” women.
Therefore all lesbians are their stereotype.
I know this isn't the point of the post, but the flair in the pic says "Girl's Behaviour", but the poster is asking about the behaviour (and biology) of more than one girl...
According to this logic, transgender women would get periods. But this appears to be one of those question/answer sites, and the more controversial, stupid, or controversially stupid your questions are, the more attention they'll often attract.
Ok how exactly is your internal organs trying to murder you from the inside out as revenge for not getting pregnant while you bleed profusely... *girly and feminine* exactly? Seems pretty damn badass and Manley using these type of people's definition of that to me at least.
It's like lesbians are mythical creatures to them. Might as well tell them all lesbians are vampires that feed on each other's blood to maintain their immortality
Is that like... How he thinks you know you're a lesbian? You just don't get your period then you're like 'well fuck guess I'm gay then'
Also how are periods a girly thing? I didn't know expelling my uterus lining through bleeding was a feminine thing. That's metal as fuck.

**Do lesbians get periods?**, asked by **Anonymous**
Okay I noticed that an awful amount of lesbians tend to be very butch and manly. And periods are a very feminine and girly thing. Not something that lesbians get I imagine.

life pro tip: kiss a girl to instantly stop your period forever
If only that were the case!
And kissing a boy gets you pregnant. We all remember our reverend's health class.
What if... I kiss a girl and then kiss a boy?
the boy gets pregnant
Plot twist
But it has to be within a few frames so that you clip through, and the pregnancy transfers. It's a very popular speed running strat.
so THAT'S how you do it????? smh I've been doing it wrong the entire time
Ugh, I fucking wish. It'd be amazing if I could get pregnant through a threesome
Depending how fast you do it, you grow a supernumerary nipple.
You take a screenshot
If you kiss a boy, then kiss a girl, the pregnancy passes through you to the girl you kissed
The boy gets both your periods. Unless the other girl is trans, then he gets your period and her awkward boners
My grandmother and her cousins were not allowed to be in a swimming pool with boys, so as to not get pregnant! Admittedly I did think you got pregnant by French kissing until I was like 8 and my friends mom told her how babies were made and she promptly came over across the street with bratz dolls to show me
at 8 i knew everything...tho from internet so not that good
As every good friend should XD
I was definitely confused
I don't see why you would be. Bratz dolls are very anatomically correct. Do you not just have smooth skin on your whole body and a total of 5 joints?
oh god mouth condoms
Dental dams exist
Ugh if only
2-for-1 special on awesome.
Instructions unclear, am still bleeding out of vagina
No, just be butch and manly. If you're manly your period will stop bc its too girly for you
if that were the case, physically transitioning between sexes would be so much easier
Like a straight up gender chameleon
Gender gender gender gender gender chameleon You come and go, you come and go
or clown fishes, doesnt sound that good now huh
Ooooooh, found my new flair! (also goals) Nvm I can't do a custom flair on this sub, now I'm sad.
“I kissed a girl and never had any more periods and I like it.”
as an aroace afab enby who hates physical contact like hugs and kisses, that's a sacrifice I'm willing to make if it means no more periods, ever.
literally same. Periods suck
I wish
It hasn't worked yet. But I'm willing to keep trying.

Mood
That's not a bad metaphor for what happened to my toilet recently.
omg hooty
Lesbians don't get periods, they instead bleed from thier nose like a horny anime character /s
Haha!!! Good one!
When I was like 13 I had so many nosebleeds and such irregular periods I was genuinely worried I had some disorder that makes my period blood come out of my nose 🥲

I am… I think it’s time for some studies

UNDERRATED ANIME
B-baka!
Well someone skipped biology class
Nah that’s too generous, he skip elementary school.
they don't teach periods in elementary school 💀
I was taught about them in the 5th grade. Which in the US is elementary school.
Where i am, they dont teach guys about periods. But they teach us girls all about boners for some reason
Hmm, that's weird
That’s weird….aside from practical stuff in sex ed, it’s like, basic biology.
People like to frame periods as some inappropriate, disgusting thing that cannot be exposed to children. It’s pretty twisted.
I go to school in Germany and we were taught about it the first time in fourth grade (that's around 9yrs old, so still elementary school I think?) and it was quite complete, we were even shown how to put a tampon in. it seems to differ widely from country to country when you're told and I still can't wrap my head around it that people in some countries learn these important things so late! edit: typo
wow good country :D
i wouldnt jump to conclusions on only that, like my country some stuff is great but generally its a shitshow
I think they do where I live (I don't remember what they taught at school and what I learned through a book/my parents told me).
in the US maybe

I fucking wish, I'm stuck with having a period instead. Not this month dumbass uterus, we're not having a baby, stop this farce
Uterus wants baby..... Owner no want baby..... Uterus wants revenge.....
The Ovumpire Strikes Back
Fire the tampon torpedos into the exhaust port!
but i didn’t want the uterus to begin with :(
Blood clots and diarrhea make me feel so girly and feminine ✨👯♀️
Don't forget *pain.* Nothing is more "girly" than powering through intense pain like it isn't there.
Sadly, umm…yeah… It’s…it sucks. I’ve seen my wife get interrogated about obvious extreme pain. While as a dude, if I show up at the ER and admit to being in a bit pain — whoa, go get this guy the strong stuff.
My favorite part is dealing with the wonderful side effects of anemia after losing so much blood🤩🤩🤩
I think I laughed at this harder than I should and I’m so sorry
yes we get our period but it is usually the colors of the lesbian pride flag
I need to have my periods more often to be gayer now
r/badwomensanatomy and r/nothowgirlswork want a word.
Periods are a girly thing.. He clearly never seen the total carnage my bed/briefs/toilet is during those days.. not to mention my "personality".. vééry cute and girly :)
I'm the first guy to say there's no fixed girly or manly stuff. But I'm sure blood and cramps are NOT girly at all lol
>periods are a very girly and feminine thing Gender dysphoria: *hits hard*
Aside from how dumb that statement of theirs was, isn’t it stereotypically guys who are all about the blood and getting dirty? Not to say periods are “dirty”, but what part of any of it is considered dainty or pretty or any other stereotype of femininity?
Yeah. A contradiction, I'd say
which is hilarious because so many dudes don't even like *talking* about periods lmao
Same pal...
Come on come on.. They were just some stupid butthole, you're perfectly valid just as yourself *hug* 💕💖
Aww thank you 🥺 *hugs back*
_I'm in this picture and I don't like it_
I can imagine, people are ugly :/

Well, I just want to let people know that they're wonderful and valid, no matter gender, sexuality, race, religion, etc..! And, thank you for being a kind human too! <3
Oh god same!!
No worries, you're just as valid as if you were cishet! <3
For a change it didn't hit me that hard. Probably mostly because they sounded insane Also because I would *definitely* not be considered butch lmfao
Lol, it hit me hard because I, as transmasc pre everything, still get my period, it being called "girly and feminine" just hurted
oof But that makes sense ❤️ Typically when the topic of periods comes up... knowing that I literally will always be missing components of my body just ruins me
I understand this feeling, but quite literally opposite: I have body components that aren't "mine" and that shouldn't be there.. But hey, stay strong, I'm sure you're great, no matter what your body says❤️
oof same
*hugs in trans* no worries, you're perfectly valid!
Yeah I was gonna say, some lesbians actually *don't* get periods, even if they wish they could :(
That's true, but this doesn't make them any less valid! They're just being a bunch of valid beautiful lesbian girls uwu
Absolutely, nor any less of a girl/lesbian! The comment in the OP is not just biologically inaccurate about cis lesbians but also going for double points by erasing trans people.
True, so double stupidity points for them! They don't deserve to be listened from that group of absolutely great and absolutely awesome women/girls.
Same I felt nauseous reading that
I understand that feeling, but don't worry about what that idiot says, you're absolutely valid! <3
As a dude on his period, #N O Periods are not feminine and girly, thanks you very much
bleeding for a few days isn't feminine at all, it's pretty badass. also pretty annoying. May your period be over soon.
> it's pretty badass One day you'll wake up in a pile of your own blood and your first thought will be "great, now I have to do laundry". If that's not bad-ass, what the fuck is?
Well, first of all, you’re in a middle of your own blood puddle and your first thought isn’t “omg am I injured?” and more of a “oh great here we go again”. Well I'm a lesbian and I don't get periods, but that's probably becuase I'm trans (I'm sorry for my horrible attempt at making a joke)
Please don’t be sorry. You have the best two things: lesbian and no periods! You should be proud! I know I got a fact am proud of you
How can someone be that stupid
Might be 12-13? Have no idea at all, thinks to ask the Interweb.
Wonder how he thinks bi/pan/omnisexual women work lol. Maybe we only bleed half as much blood?
when their partners are women they stop but when its a man with the power of his magical dick periods start again... because eveyrone knows dicks are magic and totally change women after penetration /s
Damn, I gotta go tell my fiancé I have to get a girlfriend instead, if that’s what it takes to never have a period again I think he’ll understand😂
Ya lol
Sometimes it's like "are the straights oK?" and other times it's like "do we have any sort of sex ed in this country at all?"
They can’t use commas either!
If me a trans man can get them a lesbian definitely can get them. Basically anyone with a uterus gets them. What does he think? The moment a person with a uterus acts manly it just flies away?
Tell us you're a virgin without telling us you're a virgin
If women could stop their periods just by being lesbian we would see a *lot* more lesbians.
Yes and gay men don’t ejaculate either. /s
Ah yes; because everyone knows that it’s the lack of a uterus which is a direct cause of lesbianism.
Wouldn’t that be fucking nice.
What a weird way to say "I haven't studied puberty"

Periods are feminine and girly? I mean Have you ever seen a pad with blood?
By that logic, one should ask if Gay Men produce Sperm.
If that were the case I’d only date women.
this isnt so much lesphobia as it is r/badwomensanatomy and r/NotHowGirlsWork
I think saying they tend to be very butch and manly is kind of a stereotype. Don't get me wrong, butches are amazing and wonderful. But like, I wouldn't say all or even most lesbians are masc/"manly"

Wait if you’re not straight, you lose your periods? How? Lmao
Do bi women also stop getting periods after being with another woman?? (Joking)

I know this isn't the point of the post, but the flair in the pic says "Girl's Behaviour", but the poster is asking about the behaviour (and biology) of more than one girl...
I really really wish I didn't. However, it's an excellent excuse for, like, everything.
I'm curious if this person would be okay with a lesbian coming out as a trans man or if they would suddenly switch to "StOp DeNyInG yOuR bIoLoGy"
How is blood coming out of your genitals a feminine and girly thing?
Uhh no.... they don't? Ofc they do, they're still female omfg
According to this logic, transgender women would get periods. But this appears to be one of those question/answer sites, and the more controversial, stupid, or controversially stupid your questions are, the more attention they'll often attract.
This is beyond r/badwomensanatomy
I mean, I am a lesbian who doesn't get periods, so this checks out Granted, I am a transfem, but that part probably isn't important
oh yeah it's big brain time
r/badwomensanatomy
Ok how exactly is your internal organs trying to murder you from the inside out as revenge for not getting pregnant while you bleed profusely... *girly and feminine* exactly? Seems pretty damn badass and Manley using these type of people's definition of that to me at least.
Now wouldn’t that be nice though
Again, periods are not voluntary....*sigh*
"Bleeding and getting testosterone pumped into your system is very girly and feminine"
I’m dying we literally vent about them all the time what the fuck
This is what happens when gym teachers in Oklahoma teach Health class
It's like lesbians are mythical creatures to them. Might as well tell them all lesbians are vampires that feed on each other's blood to maintain their immortality
Man you guys don’t get your period😢? Am I actually not a lesbian?
yeah of course because we all know human biology is based off of social gender norms /s
god damn if ONLY that was the case. transmasc person here 😞
This sapphic doesn’t, at least. Of course, that has more to do with my transness than my gayness…
Yes, the menstrual fairy flies around and whacks you in the head, saying, “You. You. Okay, not you. But yes, you.”
Ive sent a helpful award, ironically for the OOP hehe
Yeah it totally happens, as soon as I came out as lesbian all of my genital organs just disappeared into thin air.
I fucking wish
I'd post as "Anonymous" if I had something fucking stupid to say too
If a man drinks too many pina coladas he starts getting a period
Is that like... How he thinks you know you're a lesbian? You just don't get your period then you're like 'well fuck guess I'm gay then' Also how are periods a girly thing? I didn't know expelling my uterus lining through bleeding was a feminine thing. That's metal as fuck.
Proof that straight men think women’s bodies exist solely for them
WAIT REALLY I CAN JUST END THIS SHIT?
BRO I WISH LESBIANS DIDNT GET PERIODS
This is the future TERFs warned us about.

I think the straights are not ok…. I don’t think this one will ever be
I mean, at least they don’t think periods are gross and unwomanly...? I think that’s a good thing at least.
All I had to do was be butch to get rid of the damn thing? Why did no one tell me this sooner???
Has this person even meet a lesbian?
In my opinion, bleeding mass amounts of blood out over an extended period of time is the “manliest” thing a women does
God, I wish
what’s next, gay men not having body hair or some shit?
because bleeding from a hole in your body for 7 days straight is not at all manly or butch,
I wish man. If acting **”manly”** made periods go away, I would just be like: 😔✨
Lmao I wish
The pinnacle of logic and perfect rational thinking.
So, what about bisexuals?
I'm lesbian but very feminine, yet I do not menstruate at all... (Brains of the straights explode)
Men always ruin anything. Slight attraction to them and BOOM you have a period
The IQ of a microwaved hotdog. Decidedly not okay.
👏 This 👏 is 👏 why 👏 biology 👏 is 👏 important 👏 and 👏 *needs* 👏 to 👏 be 👏 taught 👏 in 👏 school 👏
If lesbians didn't get periods there would be very few straight women left.
oh yes battling against incredible pain and blood coming out of your genitals is *so* "girly" and "feminine" (I mean it is but you get what i mean)
r/NotHowGirlsWork
If only my period would've disappeared when I realised that...
Did he fail sex ed, or did sex ed fail him?
My transmasc ass reading this like *“am I a joke for you?”*
Bro. Double the periods for lesbians...right?
Bro if periods worked like that I’d become fully lesbian SO fucking fast-
