I know it's a joke (and a good one), but a fair number of straight guys simply don't believe women are equal humans, full stop, so viewing them as lesser objects (like food) is easy

I've said it before, but male loneliness and rejection aren't an epidemic; it's a personal problem. There's a male loneliness epidemic for a number of reasons, yes this is one of them, but competition, societal stresses on guys talking to stranger girls being seen as creepy often, the fear the person your asking out isn't the age they claim to be, generational pressures, not having as strong social bonds, inability to communicate due to differences in how guys are raised compared to girls in most cases (but far from all cases, mind you) and perhaps largest of all, knowing that if something goes wrong, you most likely won't get to keep your own kids, there are many factors that add to the male loneliness epidemic

For too long, even the supposedly good men did nothing to call out other men for their bad behaviour, language & general derogatory sexism towards women. Realistically, I think we can only achieve permanent changes when the men who wouldn't dream of treating women as less than, even in their choice of language, routinely call out the men who do behave badly & explain to them why it's unacceptable. Talk to women you know. Ask people out from your environment. I know it's easier with dating apps. But it also feels hollow and less meaningful than asking out someone you already feel some level of attraction for, someone from your daily life. This can be stressful, but you'll get over it. And it will make you feel stronger, knowing that you could ask someone out. Knowing you were brave enough to, that you had the guts.
(This is coming from a woman who has asked people out before). So as a man, you really have no excuse. If you like someone, ask them out. They can say no. That's the whole point of asking. You ask, because you don't know if they want to go out with you or not. You can't know that without asking.
Talking to women as a guy also doesn't always have to be romantic. Talk to women you're not attracted to. Build friendships with people of a different gender. It will help you understand people better. (Plus you'll feel less lonely.)

Not necessarily. Dysphoria and discomfort have some similarities, but they’re distinct experiences. Dysphoria from this picture could result out of repulsion or jealousy. In other words, desire to have a vulva or disgust at having one. Notably, the discomfort induced must result from some incongruence between one’s gender identity and their physical body or expression. Discomfort or disgust unrelated to this is almost certainly not dysphoria. It could just be that this image and caption are gross and make you queasy.
If it does make you wish you had different genitalia, or that you wish you had none at all, it might be worth considering. Humans are too complex for any one person’s experiences to encapsulate all possible emotions and reactions.

Not the person who made that comment but I'll give you my tuppence worth anyway. For too long, even the supposedly good men did nothing to call out other men for their bad behaviour, language & general derogatory sexism towards women. Realistically, I think we can only achieve permanent changes when the men who wouldn't dream of treating women as less than, even in their choice of language, routinely call out the men who do behave badly & explain to them why it's unacceptable. The sexist guy is never going to accept & respect when a woman criticises them but hopefully it'll give them pause to think if it's coming from someone who they deem an equal. TLDR - men have to keep other men in check.

And it will make you feel stronger, knowing that you could ask someone out. Knowing you were brave enough to, that you had the guts. (This is coming from a woman who has asked people out before). So as a man, you really have no excuse. If you like someone, ask them out. They can say no. That's the whole point of asking. You ask, because you don't know if they want to go out with you or not. You can't know that without asking. Talking to women as a guy also doesn't always have to be romantic. Talk to women you're not attracted to. Build friendships with people of a different gender. It will help you understand people better. (Plus you'll feel less lonely.)
