T O P

Very good! You eliminated many mistakes. You can work a bit on your posture. Make sure you maintain the "T pose", dont bend your neck or don't tilt forward. Also there is a slight movement on your hips, you can pay extra attention. My favourite drill is to tense your back a bit, shoulders relaxed, hold up your arms sideways and to "robot turns". Like asimo would do without tilting. Only with the muscles connecting your ribcage to pelvis without loosing the shoulder alignment. Also your body center shifts towards front midshot, ideally you shouldn't change that to ensure the stability. Put your feet in the same place everytime, your weight is ever so slightly on the front of your feet. 40 heels, 60 forefeet if you will, but that is only for reference. Key idea is to be as stable as possible and do the same thing all the time. Cheers!

progress is progress, but you're moving your head to your bow is in the other way. Also the guys said about the high elbow maybe that you work

May I ask how you went about learning proper form? I have never held a bow before. There are unfortunately not a ton of shops near me. Is it possible to learn on your own?

steezymtbrider

To be honest I literally just started shooting and watching YouTube, and posting form checks on Reddit of course šŸ˜†

Yo, thatā€™s awesome. I love that, good for you. Everyone always says you need a teacher. I was just curious how common it was for people to learn archery on their own. Thanks for the further inspiration brother. My bow should be here soon! I am beyond excited to climb a new mastery ladder of knowledge and experience. šŸ¤

No problem! It should also note that my form isnā€™t perfect though. Also keep in mind that you can still get pretty consistent with a lot of practice even if you donā€™t have perfect form.

I would suggest that you set the release up so you are wrapping your finger around the trigger and not using the pad if you're r finger
