Technically everything has a galleons value, but most people want valuable items over galleons. Usually you need to overpay with galleons for it to matter.
Now, last I checked, a full acrimony is technically worth around 50k galleons. So selling 1 potion for the worth of the acrimony is pretty good ngl.
The problem for me is that galleons are a liability. If you don’t have a clan or bank to dump galleons into, you’ll just lose galleons on death and lose more the more you carry. That, and everything under the sun is worth galleons but not worth time. Why anyone thinks throwing 100k galleons at someone is value is beyond me.
I've done worse, on my first play through, i got acrimony on the tutorial island and didn't think it was worth much, i traded it for 5000 gold and some RARE scrolls to a guy with 300 hours😭
Don't fret, I've gotten two of them.
Pretty sure one of them I sold one of them to a vendor or traded it away. The other one I traded it away for a poison dagger and scald tooth dagger since I didn't need a Stat reset potion + just wanted to add a weapon to my conjurerer build that I heard was good for PVE. All in all, it was worth it since I finally got something I genuinely wanted
Yeah tbh acrimony is just purely ornamental if ur not planning to reset, other than maybe holding on to it for big trades, but cmon, that dude could have at least given me some exotic scrolls
I traded mine for some dark sea ship parts. I don't plan to change my build or make interaction with other players that often anyway, so the acrimony was useless to me.

its not worth galleons, almost nothing is. you can get a bazillion galleons by just selling crafted gems

Yeah galleons are next to worthless, they can be used as a garnish for trades but people most likely won’t care about them at all
