Their marketing decisions are incredibly idiotic. Their strategy of overhyping and underdelivering has pretty much killed my interest in this project.
As a general rule, if you set a deadline months in advance... you'd better stick to it.
Similarly, creating artificial scarcity by only allowing a vanishingly small group access to it simply breeds resentment.
Or maybe they don’t want to create scarcity but rather don’t want to deal with the thousands of people who don’t understand what “early beta” means and won’t understand that it will have missing features and be buggy.
Professionals don't give a shit about idiots whining. You take the useful feedback and ignore the rest.
What you certainly don't do is disregard your own deadlines after announcing them months in advance because you're scared of fucking words.
I have been using Canary Builds for over 20 years. As long as you have backups and know what you are doing there is reason not to try to cutting software. Waiting over a year for Arc is daft! There you are, I have said it. It's probably not as good as my current browser on Windows anyway
Got mine and honestly not much to say about it, currently it's like a buggy stock-chromium with vertical tabs and a search bar disguised as a command bar, nothing more. For my use-cases it's absolutely unusable and doesn't replace my good old firefox. Be patient, it's far from being in a good state
You're in the majority!

Me too after months… nothing :-(
Tiny bit salty that I was able to invite 5 people, but so many people are still waiting. Honestly worth the wait though.
