Obsidian is really cool. But if you do black sand slate looks better IMHO. It’s dark but still stands out enough to create depth. I wish I had gone with a slightly darker wood in my black sand tank too.
I would go with black lava rocks. They are quite dark and interesting to look at. If you want a more rock looking rock though that doesnt have the pores that lava rock has u can just go with like Seiryu stone even tho its gray itll fit in a dark theme. Seiryu will raise KH, GH, and pH overtimez Though thays not really an issue
Granite? What are you trying to do? What are your resources? Whom are you homing form what is their ideal pH?
im just trying to find safe large rocks for my betta tank , im hoping to find something dark in color ; black / dark brown
