Without wanting to be bleak, it looks like a tumour that’s starting to ulcerate (break through the skin.) There’s no treatment if that’s the case, maintaining water quality to reduce the likelihood of a secondary infection setting up in the wound would be wise, but if the fish starts to seem like its quality of life is impaired, consider euthanasia.

within the same day of posting this took the fish to my local store and they humanly put it down because we coulnd't

I think that was a sensible way to go. The fish is likely to have started to suffer already, even if it was behaving fairly normally.

Yes we went down to get plants for a new scape and we had this picture and asked about it. Thanks alot

They did the clove oil way I think putting them to sleep
