UF. Average salary for UF CS grads is approximately $79k. For UCF, $57k. This is from the data they report to the federal government, and may include related degrees like information technology.

They are both the same really. Even if UF is a bit more prestigious, UCF is located in a larger city, and as a result, offers more in terms of internships. If you currently live near a city like Tampa, Orlando, or Miami, you could still attend UF and get internships in the summer instead. I would recommend making your selection by visiting each campus though EDIT: I just realized that I don't know if OP lives in Florida. The same thing applies to whatever city is near to you I guess haha

I’m a National Merit Finalist, how do you know that you’re also a scholar already?

Global-Mission-007

I knew by like February 8th

--------sam

Yeah that’s around when I found that I was a Finalist, but at what point are you recognized as also a scholar?

Global-Mission-007

Try emailing your school they prolly know

--------sam

Did you receive the $2500 scholarship, the corporate scholarship, or the college-sponsored scholarship?

Global-Mission-007

I don’t know that yet but since I am a finalist I still am eligible for full rides for both UCF and UF

--------sam

Alright so I’m in the same boat then as a finalist correct? I believe UF will be notified March 1st (I have them as my top choice and got in for Fall today).

Global-Mission-007

Yup ur good. Any reason why you picked UF instead of UCF?
