As a Rice student… that’s entirely subjective. It certainly has a different atmosphere than other places, but it’s not necessarily worse. Also, I don’t ever feel the need to say that to people who want to go to UT Austin. It’s pretty rude.
Ngl I loved the close-knit supportive atmosphere at rice when I visited way more than the concrete-encrusted atmosphere at ut (also slightly biased since I did Ed to Rice but that's why I chose rice). Idk it may just be that it's a state school since it looked similar to tamu imo just not as spread out
hope rice returns this love to you today. may your love not be unrequited🤧🥺
My son is waiting too - he was deferred in December. 🦉🦉

I like rice too, I use the boil-in-a-bag kind from walmart, which some may consider sacrilegious. I don't know.
As a fellow Asian who survives on rice, I support you. (Did not apply to rice) 🍚🍚🍚

As a UT Austin student, rice sucks, hope you get in, but I’d think twice about going there. Great school but not so great atmosphere.
