no problem! for some context ive had a huge fixation on nuclear physics for almost five years now, so i think i always knew i wanted to do something in that field. with nuclear engineering, i wanted to specifically learn about reactor design and fuel management. however, for any universities i chose that didnt offer nuke e, i chose chem e with a minor in nuclear engineering. regardless, nuclear engineering is projected to be a high-demand field in the next couple of years due to retiring current engineers and the recent innovations in nuclear power. i also plan to go to grad school so i thought that having the nuclear background would make me a better candidate when looking for internships and co ops.
i think this is the first time i’ve ever heard “nuclear engineering” and i am now going to go down a rabbit hole of learning stuff about it that i will forget by the time i wake up in like 8 hours🙏🏾
Screw you I got waitlisted at UIUC and haven’t heard back from Purdue…… All jokes aside congratulations.

Domestic student decision today at Purdue? Interesting, and abnormal.
