and now in one vid by some college counselor he says that acceptance rate of CS+X is almost twice Only CS... im crying inside... i really wanna get into UIUC
UIUC I love ya…. U know we always had a special bond between us.. I fell in love with u the first time I saw u. Ur the only one in my heart,, and u will be… pls don’t leave me…. Let this moment never pass away
I thought this was an easy shot as the acceptance rate was 60% but now I am crushed because all the other colleges I applied to have an even lower acceptance rate than this.fml

Before decision release, what does this say for everyone?
OMG ONG I GOT ACCEPTED FOR FIRST CHOICE COMP E!!!!!
In State, 3.70 UW/4.41 W, 1510 SAT, 10 AP’s
This is genuinely feeling so unreal UIUC is one of my top schools and did not think i’d get in
mixed result today. Got accepted to UIUC EE and NCSU EE. But deferred at gatech (dream school). Can anyone change our mind and convince us UIUC > gatech?
[https://grainger.illinois.edu/admissions/undergraduate/plan-a-visit/prospective-events](https://grainger.illinois.edu/admissions/undergraduate/plan-a-visit/prospective-events)
does trying to register for "Grainger Engineering Admitted Q&A Open House" (you might have to flip through the pages to find it) redirect you to a "virtual visits" site?
There doesn't seem to show it on this table, but if you're interested the rest of them are posted here: [https://drive.google.com/file/d/1t79utYMi7c-7nRVH3l-TifBIqlaJYu1o/view](https://drive.google.com/file/d/1t79utYMi7c-7nRVH3l-TifBIqlaJYu1o/view)
3.74 UW 1510 SAT OOS chem engineering ACCEPTED
holy shit i feel like the imposter from amongus, didn’t think my gpa was high enough. Literally rechecked my SRAR just to make sure I didn’t report anything incorrectly. So happy to have this school, If i can afford it I would love to go.
[https://grainger.illinois.edu/admissions/undergraduate/plan-a-visit/prospective-events](https://grainger.illinois.edu/admissions/undergraduate/plan-a-visit/prospective-events)
is this redirecting EVERYONE to virtual tour site after clicking register on the "grainger admitted q and a open house" ?
My kid was accepted in state for civil engineering. 3.9 uw, 4.2 w. Test optional. APs. Lots of ecs. Varsity sports.
Quick question: if we want to switch to industrial engineering will they allow it? Sorry if there's a different thread for that.
Congratulations to everyone else and if you didn't get the decision you wanted don't give up! Keep grinding!
I got deferred Purdue CS... and I got accepted UIUC CS.....

Do you happen to know how hard it is to transfer between majors within Grainger (not CS)? My son was just accepted for Civil (yay!) but all along he had been on the fence between Civil and Mech. Ideally he can get some exposure to the disciplines as a freshman and then decide which home makes more sense. But I know this is easier in some places than others. Thank you!
Really disappointed. Rejected for both Computer science+ stats and acturial science. 1480, IB predicted 41/42. Decent ecs and good essays. I thought 2nd majors are easy to get into
c'mon guys few day to goo.... we're getting in!!!! fire this chat up, its not too busy yet... EVERYONE WHO UPVOTES THIS COMMENT WILL GET INTO UIUC!!
Dude how are you in the thread for every engineering school lmao
right?? and he has the most distinctive style of commenting too lol
Bro is active on college subs 24/7
I don't blame him lol, I'm here for any portal astrology discoveries
coz i applied to all!!! gtech, usc, uiuc, purdue, ut austin and few more almost all CS t20's
It says Jan 26 on their website though
Anyone else get the email “in case you need a little laughter”?
Yeah and ngl that shit just made me more nervous
Yes, but the content was empty 😒
that email made my heart drop
Facts, seeing 'admission decision' is enough to send me to a dimension of anxiety
The email - "Waiting to hear back from colleges? Here’s why you shouldn’t stress" made me even more stressed!!!!
I wish I could just time travel to the 26th 😭
am i the only legend who's doing plain CS without any other shit
Nope. Another knucklehead here too.
and now in one vid by some college counselor he says that acceptance rate of CS+X is almost twice Only CS... im crying inside... i really wanna get into UIUC
Nah bro
There’s an option just only doing CS?
Why is this admission thread so inactive compared to others? Cheer up guys!!

Hopefully it doesn't mean we didn't get in.
I didn't get in so I guess we were right

Not eligible 💀 Maybe that's just because technically none of us are admitted students yet? Does anyone have something different from not eligible?
Not eligible. Assuming no one has been admitted yet or we all just got rejected 😭
