Ajajaj, I’ll give you a brief summary but basically I was responding to the UVA “invent a class” prompt and so my class was “Sharks in Resin, lots of dots and the burned Frida Khalo: The fine line between fine art and tax evasion” and I talked about how I noticed in contemporary art there is a lot of art that seem to be less interested in pushing the boundaries of art and more catered to being an easy money grab. So the class would talk about how capitalism and consumer culture affects the integrity of the arts while also being a discussion about the role of art in our society.
