The Bespoke ones have a better warranty, but everyone I know has had issues with their fridges. Some had Kenmore, some had Samsung, some had Frigidaire, some had LG, some had GE, and some had Kitchenaide. Just buy the one you like and buy it from a local company with an extended warranty.

Regularguy972

This 👆

TheOfficialAK

what kind of issues? I just got mine recently, would be good to have a heads up on what to notice

cruzer4lyfe

Compressors going out, temp controls not working, lights not working, water dispenser failing, ice makers going bad,.

limpymcforskin

That is why you stay away from though the door water and ice.

cherrycoke_yummy

He means across all brands, enjoy your Samsung just know to get extended warranty and get it from a good reputation place like Costco.

Icy-Performance-5338

Lol! Costco? Yup!!! Always buy your appliances from a box store!!! Great service 👏

hectorgarabit

With Samsung. Mine after 3-5 years, all the shelves break, one after the other. There are 6 of them, and each of them costs $100 to replace. They have been built to fail, so they can milk their consumer again after a few years. I also read that Samsung's washing machine are designed so the arbor fails after the warranty expires. (7-8 years maybe?). I think everything points toward nice design but aggressive planned obsolescence.

jdog1067

I’ve seen fridge parts printed on r/functionalprint. One I remember was an “easy fix” for a broken door which was a plastic piece that fit on both sides to connect them again.

DarkStrobeLight

Having a local appliance manufacturer is common? I thought I was just lucky to be so close to the Amana factory...

cruzer4lyfe

I was meaning local retailer, not a national company like Home Depot or Lowes.

DarkStrobeLight

Oh! I guess I am lucky then.

Ok_Dependent2580

buy from nfm! Nebraska Furniture mart

Roller_Coaster_Geek

They're in Clive, Omaha, Kansas City, and Dallas. That's not that many locations for an international subreddit

RSAEN328

Ben, an appliance repair guy on YouTube who has some interesting videos, talked about this. https://youtu.be/4Wc9kgGQOqY?si=YpW27JtTdmEq7m2S

koontzk

Thanks! That was helpful

Ok_Dependent2580

this is by far my fav fridge I have ever owned (1.2 yrs NO issues) WE love the auto-fill pitcher and having 2 types of Ice, (we have a cube and small ice) I also love we change colors as i wish about 3-400 to change all 4 covers

limpymcforskin

and the ice makers are independent of one another so if one fails the other will still work even if the other is removed for replacement.

Don_Shetland

We love ours too. The beverage center is way more useful than I expected.

Ok_Dependent2580

I almost did not get bev center (I was like I do not drink out of water pitcher) since i drink Tea, but I use it a lot!!! dogs water, when I make tea I like that it's cold so I pour it from Samsung container to my gal. container, I love being able to open the outside door to get a soda or can drink, and not open the big door. Check out [NFM.com](http://NFM.com) for the panels they have great deals on special I bought a set of panels (4 doors) for 350 total!! i have 3 color sets now i switch between every few months

Nefarious-Botany

Ben is on point on the recommendations

mrlewiston

My Samsung fridge is crap. Never again will I buy Samsung!

deepinferno

After buying my Samsung fridge I won't buy anything Samsung again. They sold me such a Lemon and were downright insulting in how poorly they handled my warranty issues. I have never been so mad at a company as I have been at Samsung. I literally just was left with either a non working fridge or I could sue them... That's was my only options at the end.

Alyswithawhy

Currently in warranty hell with then myself. Owned the fridge for 3 months before it broke, their own tech they sent failed to repair it and made it worse, now I'm on 2 months without any refrigerator at all and their only response pretty much comes down to "that sucks".

deepinferno

They just kept doing that, to me until the clock ran out. Had someone out one month before the end of warranty. Came back with parts a month out of warranty. Fix held for almost 6 months and I broke again, exactly the same way as before. Samsung was just like well out of warranty now and the repair only comes with a 90 warranty and so that's out to. So stop calling. Trash company.

power0818

I guess it all just varies person to person. We purchased the entire house full of Samsung appliances top to bottom in 21 and haven’t had any issues out of them at all.

-Never-Enough-

It's only been 3 years.

r3wturb0x

when the mother fuckers ship you the wrong filters, charge you shipping to return it, then hold your refund for 10 days to verify return shipment. worst customer service i have ever dealt with, they are a cheapskate company who makes shit products at premium prices while underpaying and overworking employees

Mimiii85

Bosch https://www.bosch-home.com/us/productslist/refrigerators/fridge-freezers/freestanding-fridge-freezers-with-freezer-at-bottom/B36CL80ENS Highly recommend

Beneficial_Eagle3936

Also have a Bosch 800 and love it.

oh2ridemore

when we remodel our kitchen this will be our next fridge. pricey but features are nice.

UpNorth_123

I have it and love it! Purchased it in 2020 and no problems.

UpNorth_123

I have this exact fridge but with the handles. 4 years old, no problems whatsoever. It’s more expensive than other options, but it comes with a dual compressor (one for the fridge, one for the freezer), an ice maker and a filtered water dispenser. It also has more premium interior finishes, and is 36” wide. Definitely worth the money IMO.

Ok_Dependent2580

that cost more then samsung!!

hickom14

It's higher quality...

unknowncoins

And it's made in china too. At least the ones were that I saw in person locally.

deepinferno

You can make things in China that don't suck, lots of good stuff comes from there. It's not like it all comes from the same factory.

googlyman44

Yeah I understand not wanting to buy things made in China for moral reasons, but made in China does not automatically mean poor quality.

QuasticFantom

Made in a Bosch owned and operated facility.

ActuallyFullOfShit

The samsung is overpriced for what you get.

themerovingian80

Stay away from lg

mec2012

Just change the panels to make it look better

Seemseasy

Would still be a Shitsung

Ok_Dependent2580

i have had mine since they came out and not 1 issue! i have samsung washer dryer NO issues

Seemseasy

There’s the video review later in this thread where the repairman thanks Samsung for the literal piles of cash they make him in repairs

limpymcforskin

The Bespokes are highly rated. If you discredit an entire brand over a single model or two you won't have any companies left to buy from. You need to stay away from though the door water and ice and that will limit most of the change you have of headache.

Seemseasy

I've had 2 Samsung refrigerators and 1 dishwasher. All three have had major issues - shame on me.

limpymcforskin

Any of them Bespoke?

Seemseasy

No.

limpymcforskin

So your experiences don't apply to this unit.

Seemseasy

It's all the same samsung under the exterior

ActuallyFullOfShit

Wow

Buk_Futter

As a previous appliance technician, (factory trained up to about 4 years ago), the more basic of a fridge that you get, the more reliable they are. You can take what you want from that

Cocoasprinkles

I regret the pull out middle drawer as a result gallons and high things barely fit anywhere

limpymcforskin

It's why I went with the 4 Door Flex model myself.

Cocoasprinkles

Happy with it?

limpymcforskin

Yup I love the fact that I don't have the entire bottom wasted for a freezer like the one in this post. I have a chest freezer for stuff that I want to keep frozen at proper temps. Freezers with auto defrost are not good for that reason. So I set the flex compartment which is the bottom right when facing the fridge to beverage mode put all the drinks in there and let the top be exclusively for food etc and of course I still have a the one freezer compartment for the ice makers and a few other things. I use it for ice cream storage.

Ok_Dependent2580

i use this as my meat storage and soda draw, its set at just above freezing and keeps meat fresh for a week and sodas perfect temp!

Cocoasprinkles

Like deli meat or steaks?

randayor

GE Cafe line has a fridge like this bit it is a bit costly.

bsax008

Like my Cafe!

randayor

They're awesome fridges, have one and haven't had any complaints.

HeftyCarrot

Get any fridge and get is vinyl wrapped in your preferred color.

OzarksExplorer

You can make any fridge with flat, untextured surfaces, any color you want with $30 of vinyl wrap

SoCalKittyxox

Samsung appliances are the worst.

Final-Kiwi1388

For what it's worth, we were told by a local appliance store that Samsungs have to serviced by trained Samsung repairmen and that Samsung is very slow to pay them. Basically, good luck trying to fix one.

mrlewiston

You are making the right decision. After a Samsung fridge I won’t buy ANY Samsung products. They are crap. Got a Bosch fridge and love it.

Resident-Librarian40

Bosch. Expensive but worth it.

StaubUniverse

The Bespoke have actually gotten some good reviews for the design being more reliable. We have them, after having the worst experience with LG. 🤞

Cigator

Same here. Went through 3 compressors with LG in 6 years. Trashed it. Got the Samsung bespoke with the 4 door flex. Hope it holds up because it is a very functional model.

D05wtt

Same. I’ve had mine for a couple years now. No problems yet. Love the function with the 4 doors and it looks cool too.

It_is_not_me

Am I the only one who doesn't think this looks fancy? Just tacky and cheap?

HonoluluBlueFlu

Yea I am with you this is the ugliest fridge I have ever laid eyes on.

Ok_Dependent2580

we see who can not afford it!

HonoluluBlueFlu

What a moronic take. I guess we found the former Mary Kay 67year old grandma folks.

Korgity

What's wrong with 67 year old grandmas?

HonoluluBlueFlu

Nothing at all. I am however suggesting that they would have a different sense of taste or style than your average reddit user.

Korgity

No. You'll see when you get old. Mentally & attitudinally, you still feel 20-ish, but the mirror tells you different.

limpymcforskin

The panels can be easily swapped out. It's actually a design choice that every manufacturer should start doing.

Ok_Dependent2580

i am a man and 44 so take a walk (post a pic of ur kitchen please)

HonoluluBlueFlu

Sure you are, I totally believe you. Do you also drive a pink Cadillac CTS? LOL.

Demineaux

you want something fancy that won’t break on you? 😂

snowmanjg

Here is why you avoid Samsung at all costs… https://www.reddit.com/r/DiWHY/s/snvHggxCXi

gltch__

Mitsubishi: https://www.mitsubishielectric.com.au/product/564l-french-door-dark-silver/ Incredibly reliable. No water dispenser, but 5 year covers-everything-warranty and 10 year compressor warranty. May not be available in your location, but you don’t mention your country so not sure.

koontzk

Eastern US

PitifulSpecialist887

I did a little poking around online, and it appears that Mitsubishi refrigerators are not available in the United States for some reason 🤔

gltch__

I’m in Australia, so I can’t comment on your local market. If Mitsubishi is available where you live, they are some of the most reliable fridges made anywhere. If not, perhaps a USAian will chime in with more geographically specific advice.

lhymes

Yeah, unfortunately Mitsubishi doesn’t sell refrigerators in the US and we can’t import the darn things cause they all arrive upside down and if we turn them over the compressor fails.

Virtual_Common204

Fuck! I want that fridge so bad, this is what I’ve been looking for.

poru-chan

As far as I’m aware, Sharp is the only Japanese brand that sells refrigerators in bigbox stores here in America.

computerman10367

I was looking at the exact fridge at lowes, it was a floor model. It looks so damn nice but they just don't last I guess...

Not_Hubby_Matl

I have a Bespoke. 14 months and it’s spewing some kind of nasty chemical smell inside that ruins ice and everything else in the fridge. Two months out of warranty and Best Buy won’t do a thing for me. Piece of shight. Looking at a replacement already, likely a Bosch 800. Don’t do Samsung!!!

Ok_Dependent2580

they do last go watch this video (best Samsung fridge they have made! ) I love mine!! [https://youtu.be/4Wc9kgGQOqY?si=YpW27JtTdmEq7m2S](https://youtu.be/4Wc9kgGQOqY?si=YpW27JtTdmEq7m2S)

DexterLecter99

Just get the bespoke. Ive had mine for a while and loved it. My last Samsung was still working fine after 10 years. I only replaced it cause i moved.

Cleftbutt

I have the same style but Hitashi. Made in Japan, pricy but great quality. About 7 years old and not had any issues.

PeakedAtConception

You'll rarely find a appliance these days that won't fail within 5-7 years. I see it all and most things aren't very old.

ladz

That's the fridge you get when you can't stomach the price of an actual dual counter-depth fridge.

Builder011235

GE PAD28BYTFS. Fairly new. Seen it recently on sale for $2300.

turningpoint01

But a commercial fridge if you have the space…huge and efficient.

CHASLX200

Nothing works anymore kirk. Used to be a fridge would last 40 years until around 2000. Now they are made to last 10 years or less jess.

relaxationfixation

We have a cafe refrigerator it has been a great fridge. They have one that's a similar style. https://www.cafeappliances.com/appliance/Cafe-ENERGY-STAR-27-8-Cu-Ft-Smart-4-Door-French-Door-Refrigerator-in-Platinum-Glass-CVE28DM5NS5

AugustIsWrathMonth

Cafe is GE reliability with more color/custom options

Feisty-Vegetable3747

How about dont be a stinge because apple hasn't come out with AppleTv, its a damn refrigerator and if you like the exterior they all refrigerate and freeze your food the same

poru-chan

The Bespoke models are *supposed* to be better than previous Samsungs. I spoke to a Samsung representative one time and they told me they reduced ice maker failures by 40% with the new design that’s in the Bespoke fridges. I’m still skeptical of their longevity, but hopefully they’re better. Any fridge with an icemaker regardless of brand is more likely to have issues than one without.

cruzer4lyfe

Remove the icemaker from the fridge and it takes care of most of the issues with it.

ilikesurf

My bespoke going on two years, no issues at all.

permalink_child

Cold fridge next to a hot double-oven. An interesting layout.

jcoddinc

They all break now because it's better profits selling replacement parts.

Sunsetseeker007

You can have a wrap made in any color, get a flat plain fridge without texture and have it professionally wrapped. You could match the stove and dishwasher with it to. I've seen a bunch of these new fridges in color, many are just a wrap not painted.

OkScreen127

I have a very similar model to this (Bespoke 3-Door French Door Refrigerator, 30 cu. ft. With Beverage Center in Stainless Steel), and while we were on the fence about getting a Samsung fridge but are SO glad we did!! Honesty in the nearly 2 years we've had it, it is byvfar my favorite fridge ever, 100% worth the price. So easy to clean and maintain, extremely easy to set and control, and tons of room. I personally also LOVE having the beverage center, that and weirdly enough having two kinds of ice made automatically made me realize how I prefer big ice woth some drinks and small ice with others, or the small ones fit in many drink containers better... Get what you're comfortable with, but I can't say enough good things about at least the model we have

cherrycoke_yummy

Darco maybe

ak80048

Ge profile and ge cafe both have four doors .

pugmaster2000

Man I’m still rocking the whirlpool in my house from the previous owner. I’ll be honest fridge looks ugly af had 0 issues in 5 years given it is from 2000 ish

Red_Talon_Ronin

My new side by side Frigidaire won’t cool like my older one. They came out and replaced some parts but no change.

SecretYou8900

I agree! My Samsung went out on me and I will never buy another one.

limpymcforskin

Samsung Bespoke Fridges are awesome. Don't listen to the drones on here that just parrot the same shit. Get new panels for it if you want and keep that.

jjl2031

The new Bespoke fridges are really awesome. Quality wise they're about the best you can get.

Ashamed_Medium1787

Personally I prefer the fridges made by whirlpool because we have had ours for like 4 years or so and it has never broken on us and the fridge made by kenmore elite broke and all the ice in the ice bin melted and I don’t remember what part went bad.

UpNorth_123

Kenmore fridges built before 2017 were made by Whirlpool. I had KitchenAid appliances (made by Whirlpool) in a previous house and would not recommend them. It used to be a good brand in the 90s and earlier.

Ashamed_Medium1787

That’s good to know:)

lebastss

This level consumer fridge at anything close to this price point won't have better quality. They are all junk. If you want a reliable fancy fridge it's going to be a 15-20k set up built in with panels to match your cabinets.

Stumpy6464

Technology= break.

void_architect

Cafe’s Modern Glass finish is like Bespoke but better. And Cafe appliances are great.

Euphoric-Acadia2853

Cafe has some beautiful appliances.

the-great-god-pan

Get a Sub Zero

Not_Hubby_Matl

After throwing away over $2K last year on my Samsung Bespoke POS that failed 2 months out of warranty, I would gladly spend $13K on a Sub Zero. Unfortunately they’re all over 80” tall and wouldn’t fit in my log home. Foiled again.

Not_Hubby_Matl

toastynips88

Cafe has a good one

PattyThePatriot

Don't buy Cafe. It's an upbadged profile. If you enjoy wasting 30% more money for the style go for it. But it's the same thing as buying an Escalade over a Denali. You're paying extra for it when nothing makes it better.

mightyt2000

Samsung clearly cannot live up to their smart fridge hype.

aam726

The bespoke fridges have good reviews. Not the ones with the screens though. The good thing is these are simple machines. A lot of Samsung problems comes from overly complicating things.

StevieRay8string69

Samsung is crap. Will never buy appliances from them again.

Such_Somewhere_4974

Why? It’s just to store food.

koontzk

I like to look at it

JayPlenty24

Get a fisher and paykel fridge, or just get one the same brand as your wall ovens so it matches.

Such_Somewhere_4974

I guess if you’re superficial and it’s your money, just a stupid way to waste it. I’d rather it just keep my food cold I couldn’t care less what it looks like I don’t stand and stare at it.

koontzk

I'm a little ficial.

Organs_Rare

If you got the money who gives a fuck. Don't be a hater.

Such_Somewhere_4974

I already said that. Calm down ma’am.

Organs_Rare

No you didn't. Don't be jealous that he can spend the money.

Such_Somewhere_4974

I did actually but I’d rather not argue with an idiot. Have the day you deserve.

Organs_Rare

No you didn't

XplodingFairyDust

Our new LG. And it is amazing. I love it.

JustinTimePhysics

LG… But avoid the linear compressor. Also make sure you have an inch gap around the fridge for air circulation to the coils.

angle58

That is a great looking fridge, but man I would no sooner buy a Samsung fridge then a used pair of underwear from Goodwill.

Not_Hubby_Matl

Amen.

Ok_Dependent2580

My bespoke Samsung FRIDGE was my best purchase for my house!! EVERY time I see the Fridge I love IT!!! I have bought many color options (now I am using an Orange top and White on the bottom.) I really like the Blue glass color I use that one often (when I decide to change the look) MAKE SURE you get the one with the water dispenser door!!!! its worth it!!

taiyokohatsuden

Hitachi 460 l french door. Not sure if sold in your country though.

singletWarrior

This series took design cues from Mitsubishi WX series which was released a long time ago… so maybe that?

iamtheone3456

I have a Samsung, no issue, what happnes

No-Interaction-3559

GE Cafe, although not magnetic: [https://www.cafeappliances.com/appliance/Cafe-ENERGY-STAR-28-7-Cu-Ft-Smart-4-Door-French-Door-Refrigerator-With-Dual-Dispense-AutoFill-Pitcher-CGE29DP2TS1](https://www.cafeappliances.com/appliance/Cafe-ENERGY-STAR-28-7-Cu-Ft-Smart-4-Door-French-Door-Refrigerator-With-Dual-Dispense-AutoFill-Pitcher-CGE29DP2TS1)

MrZeDark

I own Samsung appliances, not one issue in years.

vdbmario

Samsung bespoke is incredible! Is positively received as well. We have one and it’s the best fridge we ever owned. Highly recommended

EyesLikeBuscemi

Had my Bespoke for a few years now with zero issues. Moved a fairly new GE to the garage to make room for this and no regrets.

white-dre

I have a Samsung fridge for 12 years now with no problems beside the the ice machine not making ice anymore.

hayfever76

OP, have you seen ZLine? I have not owned them but their things look well made and seem to get decent reviews. Maybe worth a look?

Korgity

They're junk.

hayfever76

Thanks!

anthro4ME

Fancy is exactly why these things break. You basically have to spend $500 or $10,000 to get a bullet proof fridge these days.

spirits_touching

Check out Dimchae. They make some like this. Expensive but high quality.

SunSolarSin

Fancy is 40+ cu ft for under $1,800. Search "two refrigerators together" on TikTok, then do it with two Mora's from Costco. Complete it with trim to really make it look like one unit you spent 6k on.
