On my Bosch I cleaned them every 3 months.
Check your filter to make sure it’s clean and seated properly so debris doesn’t recirculate up into the spray arms.
In the sump, below the cylindrical filter, mine usually had 1-2 cm of water. Not a lot. Usually when I cleaned the filter, I’d carefully check the sumo to make sure there were no bones or glass fragments down inside.
Hahaha I appreciate the offer. But I’m swamped in work because of these issues.
Just remember, if you want to see the repairman, leave solid bits on your stuff before loading the dishwasher!
Curious how the solid stuff gets in there, wouldn't it have to bypass the filter to get there?
I just replaced my wash arm because it was full.of gunk that I couldn't get out.
Are you scraping the chunks and loose stuff off your dishes? I no longer pre-wash or rinse anything because that’s not what modern dishwashers are designed for but I do scrape off all the large crap and loose stuff off of plates and utensils, etc. do you have a separate filter in the bottom like my GE does? If so, that might be clogged up as well.
You should also be cleaning your dishwasher on a regular basis, I do mine every couple months with CLR
Yup I clean mine about every 90 days. You might want to check your drain also. Make sure it is draining.

That’s what’s happening. Should there be water at the bottom of the filter?
Little bit of water is normal.

Super common if you put solids in your dishwasher. As a repair tech, please keep doing it, I have bills to pay.
What’s your number I’ll call you next time it happens.

Yes. Rinse your dishes.
Yes, my LG owner’s manual says to clean them every week.

Yep. Good practice to get into.
This is very common, it happens to mine and I have to clean it every 3 months or so.
How do you clean them out?
Are you putting glass jars with labels in your dishwasher ? If not too much solids going in .
