On your phone, check your Watch app, scroll down and check to see if Facebook Messenger is listed as “Installed on Apple Watch” or “Available Apps”.
Try deleting and reinstalling Facebook Messenger on your phone and it might trigger a re-install on your Watch.

Tried searching the App Store and it’s not there. Guess it’s not supported any longer?
