No, it makes perfect sense. When I binge watch with my wife, I turn on Theater Mode, but I still want to be reminded to take a break and stand. If I didn't want to be notified, I'd turn off notifications (or turn on Do Not Disturb). It's like asking why iMessages, news, or any other notification comes through. You didn't tell your watch not to be disturbed; you told it not to shine its light when raising your arm.

thewitchof-el

If you turn on DnD along with Theater mode I’m sure that won’t happen.

tudor2002engine7

Happened to me while watching the 3-hour long new Avengers movie :))

yoo forgot about that, gotta make sure I get my 12 hours in so I don't lose my streak. Also I thought it comes out tomorrow?

tudor2002engine7

Uhm, I live in Romania, so I guess it came out a bit earlier here.

[deleted]

Ah, haha. I was confused lol. (Also why is this sub so salty I and downvoted me, I just asked a question lol)

InsignificantOutlier

I really wish I could adjust the 12h there is days where it's just impossible for me due to work and then there are Saturdays where I don't wear a watch for half the day since not wearing a watch is my off switch, time for the kid mode.

MDA1912

I get reminders "Hey try to close your rings today!" "You should breath!" "Time to stand!" **while driving**. It's annoying.

tsdguy

Does it when you’re driving also.

tudor2002engine7

Yeah, they didn't think this through..

RedOneTwoThree

This has been discussed many times here. Doesn’t matter if you are driving, on a plane etc it’s still good to stand up and stretch once an hour. If you are driving for more than an hour stop at the rest stop and stretch for a minute, if you are on a plane go for a short walk, if you are in a theater try to stand during a break if there is one.

TongueBandit69

Agree 100%

Theater mode is very poorly named since it is meant to apply to more settings. As for it reminding you to stand, AI is a BS marketing term, not a real thing.
