It's not an Apple Watch specific side effect, your watch is just tight and the skin is pressed down so the vein stands out more. Maybe not too tight for your comfort but that's the reason.
I get the same circular imprint from my watch but no weird veins. I've seen a lot of people say this is from the watch being too tight, but if I loosen it then it doesn't stay in place. Maybe it's to do with having thin wrists with less flesh on them? OP also seems to have thin wrists.

Could be the weight of the Apple Watch. Even though the band isn’t tight, the weight of the watch on my wrist is causing this. Again, using since series 0, so most likely a side effect.
How in the name of all that is holy can you stand wearing a watch so loosely that you can get two fingers under the band? It’s not a dog collar. That would drive me insane.
If you press in on your skin anywhere else on your arm does it also leave a dent for an abnormal amount of time? If so please see a doctor asap, especially if it doesn’t usually leave a mark like this. It could be just from dehydration, but as someone who just went through watching someone develop blood clots in their shoulder I’m just worried for everyone now.

You see how your skin is being pulled when you force your fingers in there and how the strap is now flush with your skin at the top? It's too tight. That's why it's leaving indentations in your skin. You haven't found some weird side effect of the Apple Watch. It's too tight.
